Chapter 37 Egg

Carl Demon’s Point of View

I noticed that Hailey’s neck was itching and it was red as well.

“Hey, what’s wrong?” I worriedly asked.

She touched her neck as if she was having difficulty breathing.

“Does that food have eggs?” She asked and pointed to the rice.

“Why? Do you have an allergy to eggs?”

“I have an allergy to eggs. Even if I eat a little of that I could die.” She weakening says.

“Shit! I’m sorry. I didn’t know that you had an egg allergy.”

She wanted to speak but she suddenly lost consciousness.

I immediately picked her up and took her to the clinic.

“What happened to her?” Nurse Ally asked.

“Nurse Ally, I didn’t mean to feed her eggs. I didn’t know she had allergies so she’s like this. Help her.” I explained to her.

“Put her to bed.”

Like what she said I put Hailey on the bed.

“Do everything you can to save her.” I said to her.

“Okay. Get out of the clinic first. I’ll call you if necessary.”

I went out of the clinic and sat in a chair near the door.

I saw Hailey’s friends approaching me. They already knew what had happened.

“What happened to Hailey?” Agatha asked.

“I didn’t know she had an allergy to eggs and I fed her. I didn’t know.”

Kent suddenly punched me.

“When something bad happens to her I won’t forgive you.” Kent emphatically said.

“Kent, it’s not President Demon’s fault what happened to Hailey. Don’t blame him. He knows nothing.” Alejandra says.Content is property of NôvelDrama.Org.

“That’s the problem. He doesn’t know anything about Hailey. So I should just blame him.”

“If you’re in my situation and you don’t know anything about the woman you love. Then her friends are blaming you. How will you feel?”

He stopped and stared at me.

“Do you know what’s more painful than punching me? I’m the reason why the woman I love was hurt.”

“I loved her and I know you love her too. You’ve known her for a long time but true love can’t be measured by the length of time you’ve been together.”

“What do you know about true love?” He asked in a challenging tone.

“Love is formed because of the two in love and not because of the size of their relationship.”

He would speak again but the door of the clinic opened and Nurse Ally came out.

“How’s Hailey?” I asked her.

She looked down before looking at us.

“I gave her first aid. I don’t know when she’ll wake up.”

“You’re the nurse here but why can’t you do anything to help her?” Kent angrily asked.

“I’ve done everything and no one knows when she’ll wake up.” Nurse Ally said.

“Can we go inside now?” Theo asked.

“Yes, but only one person can enter. There is a possibility that she will have difficulty breathing if many people enter.”

“She needs air so only one can enter.” She advised to us.

“Excuse me.” She added and walked away from us.

“I’ll be the first to go inside.” I present.

“No let me do it.” Kent said.

“Kent, it would be better if President Demon came inside first.” Ethan said.

“Fine.” Kent agreed.

I went inside. I picked up the chair and sat down near the bed where Hailey was lying.

“You’re still beautiful even if you’re unconscious.” I said in my mind.

“Hailey, please wake up. I don’t know how to do if I lose you. You are my everything.”

“I admit it’s my fault why this happened to you. I hope you’ll forgive me. I’m begging you to wake up.”

I took her hand and placed it on my face.

I felt her finger move and when I looked at her face, her eyes gradually brightened.

“D-Demon.” She softly said.

“Thank you for being awake.” I said to her.

“Don’t get up first.” I stopped her.

She wanted to stand up but I stopped her.

“Even though I’m unconscious I know what’s going on around me no matter the words you utter.”

“Stop blaming yourself. I know you didn’t like everything. I forgive you.”

I brought my face close to her and I kissed her on the forehead.

“You want to be seen by your friends so I’ll go out first.” I said.

She just nodded so I left.

When I came out I saw Kent restless.

“Hailey is awake. You can see her now.” I announced to them.

I passed them after I said those words.

“Where are you going?” Kent asked.

“Mind your own business.” I coldly said.

“Your cold is back.” He said before entering the room where Hailey was.

While walking, someone suddenly stopped me so I stopped walking.

“How was the queen of you life? Is she still alive?” She asked.

“I don’t need to answer your question.”

“You need too. Did you know that I put the egg in Hailey’s rice?”

“Why did you do that?”

“That woman is need to die and leave our lives.”

“You’re crazy. I’ll never be with you.”

“Call me crazy. I’m like this already because of you.”

In the tone of her speech she seemed to be blaming me.

“I didn’t ask you to be like that for me.”

“You did that to yourself.” I added.

“The day will come when you will beg me that you will not just ignore me.” She says.

“That day will never come.” I said and walked away from her.

Who is that woman really? And why did she know Hailey was allergic to eggs?

Isn’t that woman one of Hailey’s confidants?

Whoever she is I will know as well. Right now I need to watch Hailey first.

“How is she?” Raze asked.

“Who are you referring to?” I asked him back.

“Hailey.” He answered.

“Hailey’s doing well.” I told him.

“Don’t you notice that those who approach you are all hurt and doomed.” He says.

“If you’re here to blame me. You’d better just shut your mouth.” I irritatedly says.
