Hailey’s Point of View

When I opened my eyes, Agatha was in front of me.

“Good morning.” She sweetly said.

“Good morning too.” I greeted her.

“Have you seen Kent yet?” I asked her.

“Yes.”

“Where is he?”

“I want to talk to him.” I added.

I immediately got out of bed and was about to open the door but Agatha stopped me.

“Let me talk to Kent.”

“Yes I saw him but he also left immediately.”

“Where did he go?”

“He didn’t tell me or even our friends where he was going.”

“Fix yourself before you talk to him. Think about what you’re going to say to him so you don’t hurt him again.” She suggested.

“Thank you, Agatha!” I thank her.

“Don’t mention it. It’s my pleasure.”

She opened the door and went downstairs.

I went to the comfort room first. I looked in the mirror on the wall.

I turned on the faucet and put water on my face.

“You need to wake up, Hailey.”

A voice suddenly spoke.

“Agatha, is that you?” I asked but no one answered.

“Wake up.”

The voice said again.

“Agatha, don’t scare me.” I said but still no one answered.

I hurried out of the comfort room and wiped my face with a towel.

I also went down the stairs. I reached out to all my friends but as Agatha said Kent was not here.

“Hailey, let’s eat.” Agatha says.

“I’m not hungry. I’ll just look for Kent.” I told them.

“Go, find him.” Nadia coldly said.

When I came out there was a footprint. I followed where the clue was going.

It took me to a quiet place. This place is far from the dorm.

“Kent, are you here?” I shouted and hoping that he was here.

“Kent!” I shouted again.

“Look behind you and you’ll find what you’re looking for.”

A familiar voice spoke.

When i turned my back I saw Kent holding roses.

“Kent, what does that mean?” I asked him.

“I liked you, Hailey. No. I’m inlove with you.”

I almost dropped my jaw at what he confessed to me. Nadia is right. Kent loves me but I didn’t notice that.

What am I going to do? I don’t want to hurt anyone but how can I do that?

“Kent-” He cut me off.

“Let me speak first.”

“I’ve loved you since we were kids. I don’t know how I fell in love with you but it’s already happened.” He took a deep breath.

“I know you love someone else but I won’t give up. You’re not married yet so I still have hope in you.” He smirked.

He took my hands and handed me the roses.

“I don’t want to hurt you just because of a woman like me.” He put his finger on my lips.

“You’re not just a woman. You’re different from everyone because you’re the only one here in my heart. I don’t care what anyone else says because you’re the only one I’ll believe and listen to.”

“I know the day will come when you have to choose between the two of us. Me and Demon. Whatever decision you make I will respect that.”

“But until that day comes, I will continue to fight for my love for you. I love you so where you are happy, I will be there.”

“Thank you, Kent.”

“You don’t need to say thank you. I’m the one who should be thankful because I met you.”

We heard a sudden applause.

“You didn’t tell me that there would be a confession here but it’s better to call it a sweet confession.”

“I know that voice.” I said in my mind.

I looked behind Kent.

“Demon, what are you doing here?”

“You, what are you doing here?” He asked me back.

“I was just looking for Kent.” I answered.

“Now that you’ve found him you can leave.” He emphatically says.

I looked at Kent with no expression on his face. He just nodded at me.

Demon’s fist was covered with fire. He was about to kick Kent but I stopped him so he stopped.

“Get that out of here, Hailey.”

“This man should just know who he’s up against.” He added.

“When you hurt Kent it’s as if you hurt me too.”

“Why do you have to defend him?”

“Because he’s my friend. There’s nothing wrong with that.”

“If he’s your friend. What about me? What am I really to you?”

Demon suddenly grabbed my hand and pulled me away from Kent.

“Don’t try to follow us if you don’t want me to continue what I’m going to do to you, Kent.” Demon said emphatically and threateningly.

“I don’t want to see you that close to him like before.” He said and stopped walking.

“I just want you to be mine. I don’t care if they call me selfish but I don’t know how to share especially if they ask for you.”

He turned to me and there were tears forming in his eyes.

I smiled and I hugged him tightly.

“They won’t steal me or ask me from you. You don’t have to hurt anyone else just for me. I know how to defend myself.”

“No matter what else you say I will still defend you.”

“You are my queen and I am your knight.”

I let go of my embrace with him.

My stomach suddenly rang so he laughed.

“What’s funny?”

He chuckled, “You’re the funny one. Are you hungry?” Demon asked.

“Don’t talk anymore. Let’s just eat.” I said.

We went to his office.

“Why are we here?”

“We’ll eat here. I want you and I’m the only one to eat.”

He opened the door and I entered first.

He pointed to the door and two male students entered.

They had food in their hands and put it on the table.

“Let’s eat.” He said and he let the two students out.

“Eat it.” He said and fed me the yellow rice.

While eating my neck suddenly itched. I just ignored it and continued eating.
