Hailey’s Point of View

Even though I’m inside the clinic I can still hear Demon and Raze fighting.

My friends went out first to buy food. I’m the only one left inside here.

The door suddenly opened and I saw Demon. There’s also a guy behind him.

“Raze.” I exclaimed.

“Why are you here?” I asked him.

“Does that even need to be asked?” He said and approached me.

“Keep your distance from her.” Demon coldly says.

Raze is like deaf because he ignored what Demon said.

“I’m here because i want to see you and i want to take care of you.”

I looked at Demon because his eyes were looking badly at us.

“Raze, i said don’t touch her.” Demon says.

“That’s not what you said. You said earlier that I distanced myself from her.” Raze philosophically says.

“What I said earlier is just the same as what I said now.” Demon irritatedly says.

“Can you two be quiet?” I stopped them.

“It’s like you kids are fighting.” I added.

Demon picked up the porridge that was on the table near my bed.

“Open your mouth.” Demon says.

When I opened my mouth Raze stopped me.

“I’ll feed her.” Raze says.

“I’m better at feeding than you. So it’s better if you just keep quiet there.” Demon says.

When he was about to pour the porridge on me I covered my mouth with my hands.

“Why did you cover your mouth?” He asked.

“I don’t want to eat porridge anymore.” I told him.

“What do you want to eat?” He asked.

“Am I the one you want to eat?” I looked badly at him.

“I don’t want to eat you.” I said.

“Why did you point at Raze? Is he the one you want to eat?”

I want to laugh because of what Demon is up to.

“It wasn’t Raze I pointed out but the soup that was already behind him.” I says.

“Good.” He says.

He stood up in his seat and picked up the soup that was behind Raze.

“I taste even better in this soup.” He whispered that enough for me to hear.

I took the soup that was in his hand and I started eating.

“Is the soup delicious, Hailey?” Raze asked and I nodded.

“Of course. Soup is my favorite food.”

There was a sudden knock on the door so Raze opened it.

Raze is talking to a man.

“Hailey, I need to go.”

“Duty calls.” He added and he even waved at me.

“Why is soup your favorite?” Demon asked.

“Why? The soup is delicious and one more thing since I was young it’s what I’ve always eaten. Whether I’m sick or not, it’s really my favorite.”

“I should just be your favorite.” Demon said in a childish tone.

“Seriously? This is only a food. But why are you jealous?”

I felt like a statue when he suddenly grabbed me with a kiss.

“Don’t make me jealous because maybe the punishment I’ll inflict on you is more than a kiss.” He said after he kissed me.

The door opened and I saw my friends.

“Here’s your food.” Nadia says and puts the food they bought on the table.

“What are you doing here?” Kent asked.

“I’m here to take care of Hailey.”

“We’re her friends here so you can leave now.” Kent told him.

“Why do you want me to leave?”

“Because we’re already here and we want to be with Hailey.” Nadia says.

“Okay, fine. I’m going to leave.”

He kissed me on the forehead before leaving this clinic room.

“Why does he have to kiss you on the forehead?” Theo asked.

“Demon is my friend, period.”

“Seriously? Are what you’re saying true?” Alejandra asked.

“For me, what your heart says is different from what your mouth says.” Kent suddenly spoke.

“Wait, Kent. We noticed something about you.” Agatha said to him.

“What did you notice about me?”

“Every time we mention Demon’s name you always get angry.” Agatha says.

“Then, when you see Hailey and Demon together you suddenly get angry too.” Alejandra said.

Kent’s expression changed because of what Agatha and Alejandra said.

“What do you really want to say?”

“Do you like Hailey?” Agatha asked him.

“And are you jealous of Demon?” Alejandra asked.

Kent stopped arranging the fruits.

“If I like Hailey and I’m jealous of Demon. And what if all your suspicions are correct. What are you going to do?”

“We will advised you to fight your love for Hailey. Don’t give up.” Nadia advised him.

“But I’m sure one of them will get hurt.” Theo said.

“Guys, I’m here in front of you.” I tryed to caught their attention.

“Sorry.” They all said.

“Did you know that all the students already know about you and President Demon?” Agatha asked.

“Demon is just my friend.”

“We know Demon likes you and you like him too.” Agatha says.

“But you’re different.” Nadia emphatically says.

“What do you mean that Demon and Hailey are different?” Alejandra asked.

“Hailey is a human and Demon is a vampire. We know that vampire and human can’t be together.” Nadia says.

“Nothing is impossible if your love for each other is true.” Theo says.

“You seem to know a lot about love.” Agatha teased him.

Nadia has a point but Theo is also right.

I don’t know if it’s right for me to continue to love Demon. We are from in a different world. He is a vampire and I am a human.

I knew it was all impossible but it had all happened.

Sometimes I think I want to give up because of the amount of problems I’ve experienced but I can’t do that.

“Demon and Raze are like dogs and cats who are always enemies. It’s just funny to think that they’ve been able to be together for a long time even though they’re always enemies and don’t get along.” I said in my mind.
