“Hmm.” With this, Colton disconnected the call while Calvin scolded Keanu for losing his temper.
‘What the hell were you thinking, Keanu? You know very well that he can kill us easily. Death is not what I’m scared of, but what I’m scared of is that everyone would lose Colton in darkness forever.’
‘I’m sorry.’ Keanu apologized. ‘But I must warn you that you are playing with fire by inviting him to pack. We both are short-tempered, and if… if we don’t be able to control ourselves only day, then that will be the day the first and last times when brothers will fight to the death.’ He added before disappearing in silence.
Calvin knew that Keanu was right, but just because his brother was different and his enemy. He couldn’t cut all his ties with Colton.
He resumed watching the footage, but his minds were on Colton’s word.
‘Is this possible that she will like someone like Colton? I mean no offense to his behavior, but how can like someone that boring?’
‘But at the same time, I can’t change the fact that I’m annoying and irritating.’ He shook his head and focused on the word he was doing. He didn’t count the time that he spent watching the footage when the door of his office opened and Colton walked in.
“Leaving already?” Calvin asked.
“Hmm.” Colton nodded.
“How is she looking?”
“As always, princess. She complained to me about you eating her chocolates at night.” Colton replied, thinking Calvin was talking about Roselet, while Calvin sighed in relief when he realized that his brother didn’t even notice Ethlyn. “By the way, these are for you.” He said, giving two chocolate bars to him.
“Thanks,” Calvin mumbled, quickly grabbing it from his hand. Colton shook his head, looking at his brother, and walked toward Calvin’s desk to leave through the secret exit of the pack, which was made in case of any sudden attack on the pack.
Finally wasting hours, he found the part when Ethlyn had tried those shots. Everything looked fine there; that was why he rewound the video and found nothing suspicious.
‘There must be something that I’m missing.’ He said in frustration, watching that whole part again.
‘Alpha, it’s time.’ Zordan mind-linked Calvin. ‘The party is about to come to an end after the dance.’
‘Okay. Coming.’ Calvin replied and grabbed the same color suit that Colton had worn from his office’s wardrobe.
They had different scents still, but not all the pack members ever suspected Colton because pack members knew that Calvin had a sister who was a witch, so changing scent for Calvin wasn’t a big deal for him.
‘We should give this footage to Rose. Maybe she can find out the odd which we are failing.’ Keanu said.
‘I was thinking the same. Sometimes all we need to see is the whole situation in a new way.’ Calvin agreed and wondered how three different were going to happen in his life.
One is the real identity of that hunter.
Two, that identity of that woman, and
Three, to know the person behind spiking Ethlyn’s drink.
He was almost ready when he received his mother’s message. He opened her message, thinking she might have sent the photo of Roselet, but his eyes narrowed, and jaws clenched watching that picture. Placing the phone in his phone, he stormed out of his cabin fuming in anger.
Little did he know the part which he was searching for in the footage was playing in his cabin.
While Ethlyn was drinking the shots, she hissed, realizing something had been injected into her body. She turned around to see who had done that to her.
‘I’m sorry. I’m sorry.’ A lady apologized to her. ‘I think you got hurt in your shoulder because of my ring.’ She said, pointing toward the unfinished of her ring.
‘It’s okay.’ Ethlyn said, brushing the topic.

Calvin couldn’t control his jealousy when he saw Lemieux and Ethlyn dancing together, and he growled loudly. Everyone looked at him, wondering what angered Alpha to this extent, and found him glaring at Lemieux. Calvin marched toward him, ready to tear him apart, but before he would have reached Lemieux, Roselet came between them.
“Daddy, would you like to have a dance with me?” Roselet asked softly. And without waiting for his answer, she spoke, “Please resume the music and play ‘Still Falling for you.’.”
“That’s my granddaughter.” Sophia Haysert gave a flying kiss at her.
“She surely has wrapped our son around her finger.” Brandon Haysbert said when he saw Calvin agreeing to her request.

Throughout the dance, Calvin was throwing daggers through his eyes at both Lemieux and Ethlyn, watching them still dancing together. Lemieux wanted to run away from there immediately, but Ethlyn was already pissed at Calvin for ignoring her at the party, and she was in no mood to irritate the shit out of me.
