“What is that?” Ethlyn bit her inner cheeks after asking that stupid question blaming this bond for everything.
She wanted to scream at her wolf to stop making her feel like this, but it looked like this wasn’t in her control as well. She was angry at herself for feeling like this and what was pissing her more was that she was the only one who was suffering. She wanted Calvin to feel the same way.
“Nothing much. You have to dance with an unmated male like Austin or Tyler.” Hearing this idea, Ethlyn’s face color paled. Damn, if Calvin would see that, then he would surely tag her with ‘Characterless’ for real.
“What if this plan of yours backfires?” Ethlyn asked meekly because she had already lost one of her teeth. The last thing she wanted was to lose all her teeth.
“Oh! I don’t know anything about that part.” Tiara muttered. “But it’s all on you to go ahead with this plan or not.” She added on which Ethlyn started thinking what worst Calvin could exactly react. Moreover, she also had to keep in mind that it was a big day for her sister, and she didn’t want to get spoiled because of Calvin’s anger.
“Please don’t mind my son’s behavior, Ethlyn.” Sophia Haysbert said when she saw Ethlyn standing alone between all the couples even though she wasn’t single anymore. “I’m sure that something important might have caught up.” She added.
“It’s okay, Aunt Sophia. I understand.” Ethlyn replied, trying to hide her pain.
“Again, Aunt?”
“Umm…yeah!! Things aren’t clear between Alpha Calvin and me until now. So, I just want to keep all the relations to the limit.”
“Oh, I see.” Sophia nodded her head and signaled Lemieux to come near them. “By the way, what have you thought about Tee’s idea?” She asked next.
“I don’t want to create any chaos on my sister’s big day. So, I dropped it.” Ethlyn replied,
“Yes, Mrs. Haysbert.” Lemieux greeted Sophia by bowing his head.
“It’s your Luna’s first party in the pack, and my stupid son is busy with work. Why don’t you ask her to dance?” Sophia suggested, to which Lemieux quickly agreed while Ethlyn’s eyes widened. “Go and have fun. Everyone in the pack knows that Lemi is interested in men. So, enjoy.” Sophia added with a wink.
Ethlyn didn’t go against her words when she realized that Calvin’s mother was right about Lemieux.
Holding Ethlyn’s hand, Lemieux took her to the dance stage. Sophia took a picture of them and sent it to Calvin’s phone.
Brandon reached near Sophia, wondering why the hell she did something like that.
“Why are you acting like fuel in Calvin’s anger?” Brandon asked, watching Ethlyn dancing with Lemieux.
“Because I don’t want our son to repeat a mistake that you did,” Sophia replied. “You took more than a year to fall in love and, except that, more than five years to confess your love.”
“That’s why I’m trying to add fuel to Calvin’s anger. Now, just wait and watch.” Sophia said, looking at the blue tick at the message that she had sent to Calvin. “Can you sense him?”
“Yes!!” Brandon nodded his head.
“Five, Four, Three, Two…”
A loud roar tore through the entire atmosphere.

Calvin signaled Damian to leave and enjoy the party instead of staying near him. The cassette had the footage from 102 CCTV cameras, and there were four bars in the whole hall. So, Calvin started checking them one by one.
All of a sudden, he remembered that Ethlyn was alone at home and she might feel a little uncomfortable to go a party all alone. Immediately a broad smile appeared on his face, thinking to irritate his older brother. He grabbed his phone and dialed Colton’s number.
“You’re still here, aren’t you?” Calvin asked,
“About to leave; why are you asking that?”
“Can you please receive Ethlyn from the penthouse? I don’t want her to feel awkward.” Calvin requested.
“Have you lost your mind?” Colton hissed.
“Please, brother. I have an idea that she might be looking sexy and seductive, so I don’t want any male to go anywhere near her.”
“So, what do you think I’m? A Female?” Colton asked sarcastically.
“I can trust you.” Calvin said before continuing, “BLINDLY.”
“I’m sending Tee to receive her.”
“No. I want you to get her. I want to check whether she recognizes you or not. And don’t say NO. Don’t forget that I have helped you a lot of times by acting like you. Can’t you do the same for me?” Calvin told him, reminding him of all the help.
“Helped me? You barely keep your mouth shut while acting like me. People who knew me but not you, started wondering whether I woke up on the wrong side of the bed.” Colton sneered, complaining at his bad acting.
“That’s not a mistake at all. My stomach used to start aching by staying silent for that long.” Calvin pointed out the struggle that he used to face while acting like Colton.
“Keep complaining about my behavior, but what if when Ethlyn falls in love with me because of my behavior, instead of you, who is annoying and irritating,” Colton asked, on which Calvin growled at his phone.This text is property of Nô/velD/rama.Org.
Colton’s grip tightened around his phone when he heard Calvin’s growl.
‘Kill him.’ He heard another voice in his mind.
“I’m sorry on behalf of Keanu.” Calvin apologized, knowing very well that if Colton would get pissed, then the whole pack members would be in danger. And the last thing he wanted was to attack his own brother, who got possessed by his sword in anger. “You okay?”
