The Rejected Luna: Daddy, Where is Mommy?

Ethlyn wore a soft sky-blue velvet with a low cut at her chest and a long slit at the bottom. She had to admit that Calvin had good taste in female clothes. She was looking sexy. And to be honest, she had never worn anything like that. She wasn’t to hide her chest area, but then she did have observed others wearing this type of revealing clothes.

With a long sigh, she walked out of her room but couldn’t sense anywhere. Knowing that both Calvin and she were late, she didn’t hope for Roselet at home as well.

‘I have to go there on my own? Moon Goddess! That’s so embarrassing. I wish Alpha Calvin would have been with me too.’ She thought. ‘Maybe he left because I was taking a lot of time.’ She concluded and opened the door of the penthouse and found Calvin standing out with a frown on his face.

“Alpha Calvin!!” She had a wide smile on her face, but for some reason, her mind started telling her that he wasn’t Calvin. And that was true; he was Colton. “You smell and look a little strange again.” She mumbled, on which Colton arched his eyebrow.

“Are you here to receive me?” She asked.

“Hmm,” Colton just hummed because he knew the moment he would start talking, one could recognize him, but unlike Calvin, he didn’t have a habit of speaking too much. He hated how Calvin assigned this work to him at the last moment when he had to disappear because of work.

“Thank you. That’s so thoughtful of you.” Ethlyn smiled.

‘Ahh! One more fan of Calvin.’ Colton thought and looked away. Only if Calvin wouldn’t have helped him multiple times by acting like him in the human world, then Colton would have never done this.

“You were telling me in the morning that we would go somewhere to find the real culprit behind everything. Where were you going to take me?” Ethlyn questioned when she started missing Calvin’s annoying voice. Colton didn’t reply to her anything.

“What happened? Not in the mood to speak now?” Ethlyn questioned again. “Alpha Calvin,” She had barely touched his blazer when Colton jerked her hand away before speaking.

“STAY. AWAY. FROM. ME.” Colton said loud and clear.

“Jerk,” Ethlyn said angrily. “Fine, even I don’t have to talk with you.” She hissed and started walking ahead of him.

‘Poor Calvin.’ Colton thought and followed her silently. He was here only to meet Liara with her mate and congratulate them on their first pup, and after meeting them, he was going to leave. Just like everyone had mentioned, it was a small party of fewer than a hundred people.

More of the people were family members from both the family, and also all the family members of Haysbert were here to meet the woman who was the mother of Roselet.

Even though Ethlyn was surrounded by all nice people who were not mean to her and were trying to know her better but her eyes were on Colton throughout the time, who she was assuming as Calvin. He was busy with five pups, giving chocolates to them and listening to their demands for what they wanted next.

“He is close to Mom and pups.” She heard and looked in the direction of the voice.

“Hey, Tiara!!” Ethlyn spoke to the model and the most beautiful woman in the family. “I can already see that.” She added, looking at Colton.

“I watched you throughout the time and realized you want his attention, don’t you?” Tiara asked, not telling her exactly that he was Colton, not Calvin, to know her feelings.

“No.. no!! Nothing like that.” Ethlyn stuttered and mentally slapped herself for stuttering. Tiara gave her a knowing smile. “To be honest, I don’t know. Everyone told me that ‘I’m looking beautiful,’ but he didn’t ever look at me properly. He is not acting like Alpha Calvin. It looks like that person just has a face similar to Alpha Calvin’s but not he is not him.” She added what she felt from the moment she saw him outside the penthouse, or she was feeling.

“Alpha Calvin is a shameless person. He couldn’t stop his eyes from checking me out even for a once.” Ethlyn said in anger.

“Wow! I can’t understand whether that’s a compliment or his insult.” Tiara chuckled, and accidentally her eyes landed on someone who, too, hadn’t looked at her from the moment he had been there.

“He is also your mate, isn’t he?” Ethlyn asked, looking at the man standing by Liara’s side, who was smiling when Liara said something.

“Was. He was my mate. I rejected him because I didn’t see any future with him.” Tiara said and looked at Ethlyn, who looked speechless. “Call me selfish, but I couldn’t make a decision in my whole life getting emotional. Am I wrong, Ethlyn?”

“No.” Ethlyn shook her head. “You weren’t selfish when you rejected your mate for your better future, but I think what you’re doing now is selfish. I might have read it wrong, but I saw that you want your sister’s place. But when you weren’t in his bad time, then you don’t have any right to be with him in good times.”

“Ahh! You speak like mom. No wonder she started liking you this soon.” Tiara said with a smile. “But you read it wrong. I don’t want my sister’s place because I know I can’t have it.” While hearing all this, Ethlyn looked in the direction where Colton was. He wasn’t there. In fact, he wasn’t anywhere around.

“Looking for someone? Hmm?”

“No.” Ethlyn shooked her head.

“I have a way to bring him in close to him. I can tell you if you want the same.” Tiara teased.
