“Damn, you can’t even run properly, useless woman.” Calvin reached near her scolding her, and then the moment he bent a little to check her knee, Ethlyn grabbed his fully from his top.

“Caught you.” Ethlyn grinned at her accomplishment. “Aaahhh!!” She cried when Calvin grabbed both her thighs and turned her body into a 360-degree turn, throwing her on the bed.

He smirked before speaking, “You are barely twenty-two or twenty-three, and I have been training for the last twenty-four years.”

Ethlyn was still in shock at Calvin’s move. “What… what’s your age, Alpha Calvin?” She asked because Calvin didn’t look like too old to her. Maybe because he had maintained his figure, and also, werewolves grow old more slowly than humans.

“I’m Thirty-two.”

‘He is nine years older than me.’ Ethlyn thought. ‘In that way, even his younger sisters will be older than me.’

“Now, get ready quickly instead of using your mind unnecessarily.”

“But you didn’t answer my question. How did you manage to wake me this soon?” Ethlyn questioned.

“One of my uncles, Uncle Oliver, is too good with the herbs. So, he keeps inventing medicines and poisons for us to fight against our enemies.” Calvin replied, shrugging his shoulder.

“Uncle Oliver…. umm.. Isn’t he the Werewolf King, Oliver Weasley, Mate of Rebecca Cornell?” Ethlyn asked.

“Was.”

“Sorry?”

“He was the Werewolf King, not anymore. The new Werewolf King is Steve Weasley. A lot of things changed in the last five years.”

“But I had heard that he is blind. Then how can he be a king?” Ethlyn questioned. “Is he not blind anymore?”

“We’re already running an hour late,” Calvin said, widening her eyes.

“WHAT?”

“Yes, be quick.” Saying this, Calvin walked out of the room that he had allotted to her. ‘Alpha, the CCTV footage of the mating ball of that night is here.’ Damian mind linked Calvin when he was going to get ready.

‘I will be there in a minute.’ He replied and closed the mind link. Calvin knew the footage of the hotel had been deleted, but now that he had a doubt that someone spiked Ethlyn’s drink, he wanted to see what exactly had happened during the ball. At first, he had planned to visit on his own to get that cassette of that footage, but when he realized that he couldn’t leave Ethlyn alone during shopping. He asked Damian to get the cassette from Steve Weasley, the werewolf King, to whom all the cassettes of the mating ball were sent so that the King and queen would know about how many werewolves found their mate in all and whether in all reports matched with the footage.

‘Ethlyn had left the ball early, so we don’t have to watch the whole footage near the bar.’ Keanu said.

‘I hope so. Seems like we are going to enter the party at last.’ Calvin joked, but it wasn’t his fault. Always the important work comes at the end.
