The Billionaire's Forbidden Longing

Chapter 219 Sudden Visit

When Carl dropped that bombshell, Alexander's face went pale.

"I think Butterfly Shadow's got their sights set on Allison, and it's all tied to the Bishop family. There's this wild rumor about an old family in Novaria having a totem with a treasure map on it."

Alexander couldn't believe it. A treasure map? Seriously?

But then he remembered Vernon grabbing the Bishop family's stuff and demanding Serenity Manor and the things from Valencia's vault. He gave Carl a long, hard look.

Carl saw the gears turning in Alexander's head.

"I don't give a damn about any treasure; I just want Allison safe. I thought about taking her away, but it's actually safer for her to stay put. So, Alexander, you gotta protect her and keep anyone from Eldoria away from her!"

With that, Carl took off. He was just passing through, chasing down the head of Butterfly Shadow.

When James walked in, Alexander told him to get Declan to send over two female bodyguards.

"Mr. Carter, you want two people to watch over Ms. Bennett?"

Alexander nodded, "Allison can handle herself, but she's just one person. Have them keep an eye on the lab and report anything weird right away!"

James nodded. That night, Skycrest was anything but calm, and Butterfly Shadow's Anthony was having a rough time too.

After the attack, Anthony had his people scatter by sea, land, and air, but Carl was hot on their trail, driving the Butterfly Shadow agents nuts.

Anthony ended up in a remote forest, where the locals barely interacted with the outside world, making it a good hiding spot.

"A tiny virus, and you can't crack it in over ten hours? Pathetic!"

The tech team was stumped. Allison's virus was a beast; even working together, they couldn't break it, which was super embarrassing.noveldrama

"Mr. Faith, this Gaia virus is no joke. It builds its own defense system inside the program, so breaking through the firewall is gonna take some time..."

Just then, someone shouted.

"It's cracked, finally!"

Anthony rushed over, shoved the tech aside, and started working the computer himself, only to find their database wiped clean.

"Why is there nothing here? Where are the files? The data?"

Anthony glared at the staff, who were just as baffled. Someone checked, but it was still empty.

"Someone's wiped our database, Mr. Faith. It's been leaked!"

In a rage, Anthony fired his gun, and several staff members dropped, bleeding out.

"Gaia, I'm gonna kill you!"

Anthony's furious voice echoed through the forest. The empty database felt like the end of the world for him.

He quickly called Adalyn.

"Pull all our agents out of Novaria, now!"

But it was too late. When Adalyn sent the withdrawal message, no one answered, and she started to freak out.

She tried calling, but all she got was, "The number you have dialed is switched off."

That meant they were busted, a total nightmare for Butterfly Shadow. Genesis Creations was on a relentless hunt, picking off Butterfly Shadow members one by one. "Ms. Faith, our villa is surrounded!"

Adalyn checked the surveillance and saw cops everywhere. Without a second thought, she bolted to the basement and slipped into a secret passage just as gunfire erupted outside, barely escaping.

The once-mighty leader of Butterfly Shadow was now on the run. She couldn't even use her old passport and had to get a new fake one to get out of there.

"Ms. Faith, where to now?"

Her bodyguard asked. Staring at the endless sea, she replied coldly, "Novaria. We need to find a way in. I want revenge!"

Adalyn was determined to make a comeback. Last time, she used Felix to hack into Genesis Creations' database and got a ton of info. Now, she was after Gaia. She had a gut feeling Gaia was in Novaria.

Meanwhile, Allison was in the lab, working on virus samples. Decked out in protective gear, she was getting frustrated. She'd made dozens of samples, but none could neutralize the virus.

Felix's condition was getting worse, and time was running out.

Allison eyed the last five samples. If these didn't work, she'd have to start from scratch.

Taking a deep breath, she added reagents to the petri dish. Looking through the microscope, it was another failure.

But then, with the last reagent sample, she saw the active virus quickly become inactive. The dividing cells stopped, and hemoglobin started to grow, surrounding the virus cells.

"Finally, success!"

After thirty grueling hours, Allison had the antidote. She sent it to the Phoenix City lab immediately. An hour later, it was injected into Felix, and his condition changed fast. Felix, who'd been in a high fever and coma, slowly woke up, feeling like he'd been reborn. Overwhelmed, he called Allison.

"Allison, you saved me again!"

On the other end, Allison's cold laugh came through.

"Once you're better, start training. Your body's too weak. Train for three months. Oh,

and I shaved your head. It was necessary for the treatment!"

Felix was stunned and quickly felt his head, finding it smooth. He screamed. "My hair, my curls!"

Felix's scream echoed in Allison's ear. She hung up, no hesitation. Leaving the virus lab, she was about to collapse. She changed, took a shower, and came out, too exhausted to eat, just wanting to sleep.

"Allison, are you trying to kill yourself? Thirty hours without eating or drinking for an experiment. If Mr. Watson knew, he'd be heartbroken!"
