” Tell me what she’s doing In my house Cathy.” He asked again looking so furious that at a point Cathy could only stammer.

“Father this is my cousin and I’ve brought her ro spend some time with me.” She answered but not gazing at Mr. Anderson’s eyeballs for she was scared.

” Do you want to ruin your marriage Cathy Chester?” He thundered making her shocked and confused.

But before she could ask what he meant by those Words, he walked into the house.

Cathy followed suit leaving Nelly all to herself wondering when the disagreement she had with Mr. Anderson will end.

Nelly didn’t bother to follow Cathy, she looked around the house. It was quite expensive and the fleet of cars she saw all belonged to her uncle, Mr. Chester except the red Lamborghini which she knew belonged to Cathy.

” You’re not scared my dad will instigate Cathy against you?”she turned to look at who it was, and spat in disgust immediately she saw it was Axl.

He has distracted get from something important and she wasn’t happy about it.

“I’m not scared about anything Axl, I expect the worse from both father and son.” She answered rudely, but Axl didn’t flench.

Both daughters of the Chester’s family had one common attribute asides their beauty and wealth – they were filled with pride.

” Stop it, Nelly. Watch your tongue. I still love you and that’s the reason I’m able to control myself.”

” What did you say? You love me?” She laughed hysterically and tried to walk inside but Axl held her wrist and stopped her. She turned in anger and slapped him.

“Don’t repeat this mistake of holding my wrist. ” She warned before entering the house.

Axl looked at her shocked, he knew she was bold but he had never expected her to be so bold to slap him.

This was really going to be tough, he thought.

This was her first time of entering a home that wasn’t hers, she had no friends or relatives so she was always at home all by herself or in the Chester’s mansion, She had always thought Mr. Anderson will love to stay in one of the houses owned by her uncle Since he had wanted all the properties of his best friend. As far as age could recall, Mr. Anderson was never to be trusted but nothing was strange. Why hadn’t Mr. Anderson allowed Cathy to live in the Chester’s mansion?

Maybe he didn’t want Cathy recovering memories from her environment, she thought.

” Nelly is smart Cathy. She knows a lot and will use it to her advantage. I don’t know why you don’t want to listen to me.” She had overhead Mr. Anderson telling Cathy, she couldn’t take it anymore and had quickly defended herself.

“Why will she listen to the lies you have fed her. I’m only telling her the truth that she deserves.”

“Nelly…please watch your words. He’s still my father-in-law .” She begged, “Father she is staying here and please don’t try to convince me otherwise.”

“F**k you’re just as stubborn as Caroline.”

Both the ladies turned immediately to look at him, with the same question on their mind.

“What did you say? Who is Caroline?” Cathy asked immediately.

” You don’t know?” He looked skeptical about wanting to tell them but the look on Cathy’s face showed that she wasn’t going to take no for ab answer.” She’s your mother.” He finally revealed.

Cathy took some steps in disbelief, she hadn’t expected that. Although she felt she had a connection with whoever Caroline was, she had never given it a thought that it might be her mother as for Nelly she didn’t look too surprised at all. Maybe she had figured out who Caroline was but wanted Cathy to make the inquiries herself and find out what really was the truth.

Meanwhile Cathy was in her own thoughts, struggling to believe she had such connection with her mum but didn’t find out about it. Then she thought of the bag and the designs that she had seen at the Chester’s mansion. The diary now made Sense to her, even the clothes which had the brand name Caroline but she still had to be sure.

” Father, I saw some cloth designs was she the owner of a fashion brand?”

“I don’t know. She would made clothes in her free time but those clothes were never sold. She had made them only for her daughters. Please no more questions again.” He believed if he said more words then she was going to find out the truth and he didn’t want that, at least not now when everything seems to be working in his favour.

Just a few more lies and soon the properties will be his, he thought.

Immediately Mr. Anderson left the room, Cathy instructed the maid to show Nelly the guest room before she went to the room she shared with Axl. They had planned to see once it was time for lunch and go to the hospital after that.

As she got to the room, she had so many things on her mind that she didn’t even notice Axl was there but he said nothing to her even though he was surprised she was so absent minded. He had never seen her in that mood before.

She had never seen the brand on any clothing, except the ones Nelly gave her and the lady that Dementrio had Introduced as a friend.

” Hey? Where is your mind.” He said as he touched her shoulders and she got up in fright. She felt relieved when she discovered it was Axl.

“It’s you…you scared me. ”

“I know I did. You have been so absent minded since you entered the room. Is anything the matter?”
