Painful seduction

She opened her eyes slowly only to find out it was already daybreak. The curtains were already opened as daylight entered the room.

” The sleeping beauty is up already. You can’t deny that you had the most wonderful night of your life.” A voice said and she turned to see it was Nelly.

” I won’t deny that Nelly. I surely had one of the most peaceful nights of my life.” She answered with sincerity.

“Take a shower then I will ask the maid to get breakfast.”

” Maid?” She looked puzzled.

” Yes…I contacted one. It’s just for breakfast. I don’t plan on staying here.”

“So where will you go? Remember your home is just as this is.”

” Cathy, I will stay in a hotel for a while. I can think about where to go from there.” She said calmly even if she felt she wasn’t sure.

” It’s no problem. I would like toast for breakfast, tell the maid I take my coffee with one tablespoon of sugar. The measurement must be accurate.” Cathy instructed.

“It’s fine, I will tell her now. Just have your bath first.” She said and left the room immediately.

As Cathy stood up to take a shower her phone rang and she picked it only to discover it was Mr. Anderson. She sighed and answered it immediately

“Hello father, Good morning.” She greeted, politely.

“Where are you, you didn’t sleep at home last night?” A voice asked thunderously.

“Father, I had some important work to do.”she lied.

“Since when have you started lying to me?”

“Father please. Don’t start this now.”

” I want you back to your home at this very moment and don’t let me remind you what I can do to you if you dare disobey me.” He ended the call immediately.

Cindy sighed her father-in-law was always making things complicated for her and she found out she couldn’t disobey him. He had held her with some kind of crazy spell.

But she wasn’t going to think about a spell now, what she wanted was to get answers to solve the mystery behind everything she had discovered.

She rushed to the bathroom to have a shower while she pondered on so many things. Since the past two days, she had been preoccupied with lots of crazy thoughts and mystery.

Showering took a bit longer today, about 20 minutes and after that she dried herself and struggled to think of what to wear. It wasn’t where she lived, so her clothes weren’t there and moreover she couldn’t repeat what she had just worn.

Luckily, the issue of getting an outfit had been solved because as soon as she came out, a pair of lovely brown office pants and jacket, accompanied by other female accessories, laid on the bed. She guessed it must have been Nelly’s idea.

As Cathy got closer, she noticed something about the dress which Nelly had brought for her, it had the same logo that she had seen in the diary that belonged to Caroline. She Dressed up so quickly as she rushed to leave the room to ask Nelly where she had taken the clothes from.

“Are you going to meet him now?” Nelly asked as soon as she saw Cathy.

” How do you know about him? How did you know Mr. Anderson called?” She asked, confused and had totally forgotten what brought her here.

” I overheard your conversation with Mr. Anderson.”

” You eavesdropped on me?”

” Yes …sorry about that. Can I come with you?”

“Sure it’s fine Nelly but i dont think Mr. Anderson will like that.” She was right, Mr. Anderson won’t be pleased to see his son’s ex-girlfriend in his house.

“I have some questions I really need answers to, it’s important Cathy.”She rushed to where Cathy and begged her with both palms held together in the air.

“It’s Fine Nelly. You can come with me. I want…” she was interrupted immediately by the maid who had come to announce that the breakfast was ready.

Nelly rushed to the table area leaving Cathy to whatever question she wanted to ask. After some minutes, she decided to ask all the questions to Mr. Anderson.

The toast tasted good but her coffee was slightly sugary, the maid hadn’t paid attention to the measurement she had given her. On a normal day in her house, she would have made a fuss about it but today she decided to let it go without causing a scene.

She didn’t have the coffee, instead she had a sip of orange juice. All throughout breakfast, she was absent minded as so many things ran through her mind.

“Hey?” Nelly called flicking her fingers on her face to get Cathy’s attention.

She looked at her in fright, and discovered she hadn’t eaten anything.

” Why are you so absent minded Cathy? What are you thinking about?”

” It’s nothing Nelly. Finish your breakfast so we can go.” She pretended to resume eating but Nelly wasn’t going to fall for that.

“Are you hiding something from me?”

” No, Nelly. Why Would I do that?”She asked, blinking twice.”I’m just thinking about the mysteries I haven’t unraveled.”

Nelly said nothing as she continued eating with Cathy following suit. After about 15 minutes, they were done and left Chester’s mansion in Nelly’s Car. During the drive, none of them said anything to each other, they had different thoughts in their mind.

Nelly was driving so she had to concentrate on her driving and save herself the stress of asking Cathy so many questions.

They got to Cathy’s home and for some reason, she felt awkward to be there. With the lady moment of her stay there ringing in her head.

Axl, her husband had drugged her and luckily she had been saved by Nelly.

She took a deep breath and entered the house, making up her mind to be smart because she couldn’t trust both father and son.

“Hey you there!” They heard an angry voice say and quickly turned to look at who it was.
