Painful seduction

After some minutes of driving, she parked in a safe place to call Dementrio and also call the doctor to hear what he wanted to say. She called the doctor first but he didn’t take her call. She thought of calling Dementrio but just when she wanted to dial his number his call came .

I was just about to call you.

That was what she would have said if Dementrio didn’t give her the heartbreaking news she had never expected to hear. She was heartbroken immediately and couldn’t think straight.

“Rhea is in the hospital. You need to come now.” He had said over the phone.

That alone broke her and she couldn’t think of what to do.

Was this what the doctor was trying to tell her? She thought.

She felt her purse vibrate and opened it to see it was her phone. It was a notification and opened it to discover Dementrio had already sent her an address. She knew where the place was, it was the city’s hospital.

After some minutes, she turned on the ignition and drove to the direction of the hospital. She got there in few minutes

” What are you doing here, you son of the devil.”

“Son of the Devil?” Damien laughed in mockery as he got closer and whispered.” We are both alike in every possible way.”

“What do you mean? I’m nothing like you.” She roared in anger. Damien was a cunning man, and his deceitfulness was always on her nerves. He was always a step ahead of her.

” Keep it Cool. You don’t want Rhea to find out that you knew about her health and didn’t tell her about it.”

” What do you mean?” She was shocked and was visibly scared.

” Rhea will die soon…at least that’s what the doctor would have told you if you had taken his call.”

She looked at him more surprised than before. How was he able to get so much information? Was he spying on her?

” Don’t you let anyone find out about this.” She grabbed his collar as she warned him.

” You don’t scare me with empty threats Cindy Chester and you know that.”

” You’re a devil Damien.”

” Anything for you my sweetest Cindy.”

“Stop saying those words. Dementrio won’t be happy to see you with me. He will suspect something is going on.” She muttered.

” That’s for you to sort out. Just give me an opportunity to talk to Rhea.”

“Hope you don’t want to tell her about what I did?” Cindy asked, she was scared and her fingers vibrated in fear.

“That’s for me to consider. Do your part and mind your business.” He advised before leaving.

They walked together to where Dementrio was standing waiting for the doctor. When his eyes met with his brother , he got so upset and furious.

” Let him be Dementrio. He’s with me, he has accompanied me here.” She lied.

” But you can’t just follow the enemy Cindy.” He said knowing fully well that something was wrong and whatever it was, he knew Rhea won’t be happy about it when she was awake.

” So Rhea has the right to follow who she wants to but I don’t have that right? You seem to forget that you’re also my enemy.”Cindy blurted without thinking, she was still feeling upset with Rhea choosing Dementrio as her boyfriend even after knowing he was her enemy.

The two would have exchanged more words but the entrance of the doctor stopped the argument. Dementrio rushed to where the doctor was, throwing a lot of questions at him.

How is she? Was she okay? When was he going to see her?

” Calm down…I know you’re worried about her. She’s fine and will be awake soon, she fainted due to exhaustion.” He explained.

” Can you see me for a while Cindy?”

She followed the doctor while a nurse accompanied Demetrio to see Rhea.

As he walked to the patient ward, he noticed Damien was following him.

“You’re supposed to be with Cindy and not follow me.”

” You have no right to question my movements.”

“Just like you have no right to follow me everywhere I go. You are a threat to Rhea’s life.”

Damein looked at him upset and angry but left without saying another word.

He entered the room to see she was already awake. Rhea managed a weak smile as she Dementrio walked towards.

That fear she saw when he had brought her to the hospital some minutes ago wasn’t there.

Maybe the doctor had assured him that everything will be fine.

” How do you feel now?” He asked, placing his right palm on her phone head.

” A lot better.”

” Do you have an idea of what happened to you?”

” No…Demetrio. I was talking to you and suddenly I fell. I have no explanation to what happened next.”

” It’s fine my dear. Just rest and the doctor will tell us what the problem is.”

” How is Cindy? Does she know I’m here?”

“Yes.. she’s talking to the doctor. She will see you once she’s done.”

“Can you give her a call to come soon. I really want to speak to her. It’s urgent.”

“Let me just check the doctor’s office.” He said before leaving.

He couldn’t find Cindy so he decided to give her a call, but as he takes his phone to call. Dementrio noticed Cathy had called him several times.

He checked the text that she dropped also and discovered that she wanted to see the lady he had come with the other day, and the lady was Cindy.

But why did she suddenly want to see Cindy, he thought.

” Are you okay?” Rhea asked as she held two of his fingers-like it was a lean for her to stand up but the pain of age felt made her change the thought of standing up.

“It’s nothing serious. Just that Cathy wants to see Cindy.”

“Why?” She questioned with intense curiosity.

“She said nothing about that. Just the text requesting for her presence.”

” Is that a good or bad news?”
