” What are you trying to say, Piper?” She asked unbelievably.

The person on the other end of the call repeated her words and Cathy was taken aback.

” So where is she now?” She asked.

They talked for a while before the call ended.

“What is the matter?” Nelly questioned immediately she dropped the call.

” It’s my secretary…she said my twin sister left the office a while ago.” Cathy explained.

” Is that good news or bad?”

” Both…” Cathy’s phone vibrated and she took it.

It was a message from Piper, her secretary, she opened it and it was the CCTV footage.

Piper wasn’t lying at all, in the footage was her twin sister, they looked so alike. Cathy stared at the image for a long time as tears filled her eyes. Nelly who became suspicious got up and grabbed the phone from her, that was when she saw the video. It explained why Cathy was becoming emotional.

“But why did she leave all of a sudden? Like she was scared and didn’t want to see you.”

” I really don’t know. I haven’t given it more consideration .” Cathy answered.

“Everything is becoming really complex. Just get the car number and we can find the car by sunset.” Nelly said and Cathy could only nod.

She was already tired of everything that was going on, she just wished it would be over soon and everything would be back to its normal pace.

Cathy was right, both ladies used the same brand and what was more suspicious was that it was the same brand in the diary.

The name of the brand of bags was Carolina, the same name she had seen in the diary.

But why haven’t I heard of the brand for a long time? She thought.

Cathy was the richest woman and had all the brands of clothing there was except this Caroline and the truth was that she had never heard of the name before.

Was it a brand or someone’s real name, whatever it was she could only wish it was something good. Cathy made up her mind to ask Demetrio if she could talk to his friend. She would tell her about who Caroline is only when she meets her and she can ask her fashion brand about the name too.

” Are you hungry Cathy? Let’s order dinner before I leave.” Nelly suggested.

” Where are you going?”

” I want to sign the documents for my mum’s burial and talk to Axl.” She responded.

“Can I come with you to see Axl?” Cathy asked.

” I won’t do anything with Cathy. I told you I’m over him and you don’t know how much I hate him at this point.”Nelly muttered bitterly before leaving the room.

As she Left, Cathy knew Nelly misunderstood her. She didn’t feel anything for him even till this moment, Cathy byfelt her marriage was a game and she was used as a pun by Mr. Anderson to get her parents wealth.

The thought of Mr. Anderson, made her stomach rumble. She couldn’t forget the sight of the wedding pictures, she will ask Axl about the wedding pictures even when she goes home. Alot happened from the previous night and she knew there was still more mystery to unfold.

Someone knocked at the door and she was surprised, she hadn’t even heard a car drive in so who could it be? she thought.

” Are you expecting anyone, Cathy?” Beliy asked, she had changed her clothes and dressed a little simpler and then she looked better. Cathy was relieved.

“No…” she answered softly

Nelly moved to open the door and to their greatest surprise, it was no other person than Axl.

For some moments everywhere was silent and nobody could say anything, their mouths were shut in astonishment but Nelly found her tongue first.

” What are you doing here? You fool!” She yelled as she rushed forward to grab him by the collar.

” Behave yourself Nelly. I didn’t come here for you! I came here for my wife.” He said, pushing her away lightly.

“You have no wife here, Axl! Please leave.” Cathy said softly but sternly.

“Are you going to do this to me Sweetheart?” He asked. ” Hope you didn’t listen to whatever your cousin said?”

“Please stop this drama of yours.” She said as she feigned annoyance.” You actually drugged me.”

“Cathy, I’m going to explain everything to you but only if you allow me to take you home. This isn’t your home.”

” Please fill Cathy with all the lies you and your father had cooked up then leave my house immediately.”

Axl and Nelly stood there exchanging words with themselves, Cathy didn’t even try to stop them. She maintained her ground as she thought of how to get information from Axl. Cathy hadn’t even thought of going back home, she knew soon it would be a headline in the newspaper but she was just close to knowing the truth and she didn’t want to trust anyone now.

” Enough both of you!” She screamed, her head was already aching and these two grown ups were making things worse for her.

“Axl please leave. Nelly just lost her mum. I want to spend the night with her and I want my decision to be respected here.” Cathy said as she left for the kitchen. She was so hungry and tired.

“Did you even listen to her? What a fool you are, Being controlled by your father.” Nelly spat in disgust.

” Watch your words. I only kept calm because Cathy was here and I won’t dare touch a woman.” He answered.

” I’m not scared of you, Axl Anderson. You son of a b*itch. You and your wicked father killed my mum right?”

Axl looked at her without blinking, his face was expressionless so it was hard to tell if he was scared or surprised. But one thing was sure, he had underrated Nelly. Whatever his Father said about Nelly was true. This woman was tough and brutal, the whole family of the Chester had the same tough character like it ran in their veins. He had to inform his father to make their plans workout fast or else they will loose everything they’ve worked for.

” Do you need securities to throw you out or I should personally do that?”Nelly asked with so much hatred that was justified.

Axl looked at her in anger, he left shutting the door loudly behind him and cursing loudly to deal with Nelly whenever he had the opportunity to.

“I don’t know the pain of calling off a wedding can cause such anger.” Cathy said, she was coming out of the kitchen with a pizza in her hand. She munched as she walked, swallowing slowly before taking another bite.

” You don’t even want to know what I feel. I hate Axl and his father. You don’t know them as well as I do.” She explained.

” Okay…enough of them. Get something to eat then we can rest and continue our search tomorrow.” Cathy advised.

“I can’t spend one more night here. It brings back so many memories .” Nelly said as she shivered in fear.

“You know your home will be worse than here. It’s okay I’m here.” Cathy said as she hugged her.

After ensuring that Nelly was sound asleep, she got her phone and texted Dementrio about her intention to speak with his friend. After waiting for a while without getting any response, she decided to call him but he didn’t take her call either. She wasn’t worried, Cathy already knew how busy he was and morever she had never called him before. Cathy could only wish he gets less busy soon and gives her a call. It was important for her to know more about who Caroline was.

As her mind thought of so many things she could do, her phone vibrated. She checked hoping it was Dementrio but what she saw made her froze .
