Axl!” She called out struggling for breath as she kept her mouth open gasping for air.

Axl rushed to her immediately looking scared.

“Are you okay Rhea?” He asked with concerned looks.

“We need to find Cindy now.” She spoke softly but paid no attention to what she was saying neither was she aware that Dementrio standing there with her.

“She will be fine, Rhea. We will talk to her or she will call us.” Dementrio assured, as he caressed her cheeks and tried to embrace her.

“Is this all you have to say? Cindy might be in danger and you just want me to be quiet?” She yelled at him.

“I understand you Rhea but we have to think first. Cathy is already suspicious. What if you call Cindy and they find out it’s Alexia?”He asked and she kept mute, she must’ve understood his reasons .

” So what do we do now? We can’t just watch them doing nothing.”

” We would have to wait for Cindy’s call, she’s the only one who can tell us what’s going on.” He explained.

” I know…I can only feel worried and uneasy, maybe anxious is the right word.”

Dementrio got closer to her and embraced her before whispering into her ears,

“I’m here for you. Everything is going to be fine.” He Said assuring her.

She left his embrace and walked upstairs, the effects of the drugs were still there and she was feeling wobbly. Dementrio noticed it too and rushed to help her before she went crashing on the stairs.

” You need to rest , Rhea but you’re acting so stubborn.” He said as he got to her and carried her immediately to his room.

” Stay here while I get you water and food. Don’t move an inch.” He warned sternly to show he meant every word.

He left the room and came back later with a tray which contained a plate of food, another bowl which had different fruits sliced in cubes and finally a glass of water.

“You cooked so fast?” She was surprised because he hadn’t spent up to 10 minutes.

” No…The cook. I have a cook and I called her while we were at the hospital to get you something to eat.”

“Okay. Thank you so much.”

“Rhea, eat something. It’s pasta and sauce. I’m really sure you will love it. Don’t worry I will feed it to you.” He sat comfortably, close to her and quickly brought out a spoonful and began to feed her. She waited till the plate was half empty before deciding not to have another spoon again but Dementrio insisted she finished everything. Sadly, she accepted and forced her stomach to accept more of the food.

The plate was empty in no time and she couldn’t even have a taste of the desert. Dementrio seeing her in that condition was worried that she might throw up the medicine since she was already full.

“Just rest okay…I will watch you sleep then wake you up after an hour to take the drugs and eat some fruits.” He assured lovely, as he gently caressed her cheeks. He couldn’t help but admire the beauty before him, despite being lean with visible cheekbones, she still looked healthy.

The doctor had already said she was under a lot of stress but he had secretly told him, Cindy knew about her health condition. The thought of Cindy hiding something important from everyone made him grow angry in rage but he quickly controlled his emotions immediately.

About his relationship with Rhea, he had no plans of ending it soon, this was the first relationship he was having the rest were more flings. He wasn’t a flirt but the ladies were always hanging around with him so it wasn’t really his fault if he had his way with one of two of them but Rhea was different, he felt genuine love for her especially as he watched her sleep. She looked so innocent and harmless, he couldn’t believe the brave, bold and annoying lady was now on his bed using his favorite pillow as a head rest.

He used his fingers to remove the strands of hair that had formed on her face, the only regret he had was Cindy. He wished they were never close because in reality, he hated Cindy. Her Father was the cause of his own father’s death. He couldn’t ever forget the day, that day it had happened live in his presence.

Mr. Chester had pulled the trigger and his father was dead on the floor before he could reach him; he was already dead. There was no life, although he couldn’t remember what had prompted Mr. Chester to use a gun he could swear his father had not deserve such treatment.

The hatred continued and the quest to get Mr. Chester to pay for everything became stronger, he had never wanted Mr. Chester to die. He wanted to take all his wealth first then kill him but it looked like Mr. Chester already had so many enemies that were steps ahead of him. His brows narrowed as the thought of Damien entered his head but he was the least of his problem. Damein his elder brother was crafty but he understood his ways. Both him and Damienrhad the same goal and that was getting the wealth of Mr. Chester only that they were sworn enemies because of the love their father had for Dementrio but one couldn’t blame the old dead man, Dementrio had followed in his father’s business and had been his father’s kitten.

Once she wakes up, then I will tell her everything, He thought.

Rhea would surely understand that he had to do it and if she decides to leave him then he will accept it as his fate. His phone rang and he checked the caller, It was Axl. The last person he expected.

” You there Demetrio? You can’t believe what had happened , Man.” Axl said immediately, impatiently.

“Tell me everything. I’m waiting.” He said politely. He too was eager to know what was going on.
