“I wished I had just taken Nelly. Along with her mother all my problems would have gone away but your love for the crazy girl stopped me.” Mr. Anderson sputtered angrily.

“Father please…I never expected Nelly to turn out like this, she wasn’t like this father.” He defended.

“You don’t expect her to remain the same after leaving her a day before the wedding Axl! She has to change Axl, You know nothing about women and it worries me a lot.”

“Father…now you’re sounding like it’s my fault. You know you forced and blackmailed me into marrying Cathy. I hurt Nelly so badly. She was the only woman I loved.”

” You can stop blabbering now because it’s too late. Nelly won’t even look at your face because you disgust her.”

” I Know Father, I don’t doubt that. Whatever you do, I don’t want you to hurt Nelly.”

” Are you giving me conditions?”

“I’m just saying father. Don’t involve Nelly in your games.” He answered before letting the door open.

” You can leave father. Drive your call, I gave something to do.”

” Are you sending me out of the car I got you?” Mr. Anderson asked, shocked and astonished.

” Not a car you got, Cathy got it and father I’m doing everything politely.” He said with folded palms.

He looked at him with a hard glare in his eyes before leaving.

Father! He yelled hitting the steering wheel making loud noises. This time the security officers were not going to spare him.

He stayed still with his right hand on his jaw. Everything was going out of place, first he lost his mother, the only one he loved and what was annoying was that he had given so much away and now he was left with nothing. Nelly who had been with him since childhood was now an enemy to him. He couldn’t believe something like that would ever happen.

” Cathy…watch yourself. We are in public.” Nelly Cautioned, but she did the exact opposite.

” I’m so hungry, you don’t know what I can do Nelly. Whenever I’m hungry then I turn to an animal.” She laughed as she slowed down with the food.

Her behavior was just so funny that Nelly couldn’t stop laughing at her. Cathy looked like a cute puppy.

“I’ve never seen you like this. You look more young and beautiful. Hold on, I will get my phone and take a picture.” Said Nelly.

The moment she talked about the picture, Cathy immediately remembered the phone she had been with. The same phone she found in the office which her mother had worked in. Thank Heavens that Mr. Anderson had not seen her with the device, it would have been the end of more discoveries.

“The phone Nelly.” She motioned with her hands.

” What phone are you talking about?”

She said nothing but brought out the device and immediately Nelly knew where it was gotten from.

“Has it gotten charged?”

” Yes, I charged it in the car. Should we check the phone now or after our meal? What do you think?”

“I’m just as anxious as you are Cathy.”

” Let’s have our meal. Whatever that’s in it can wait.”

” What if we never get an opportunity!”

” Now you’re really scaring me.”

They made up their mind to check out the phone as soon as they were done with their food. But Nelly was so anxious that she snatched the phone from the table and opened it. Cathy too , couldn’t contain her inquisitiveness, she left her food as she followed with her eyes noticing each movement Nelly took.

Nelly immediately checked the call logs, it was exactly how she had expected.

” The calls were before the accident.”

” Have you checked the messages?”

” I will go through them now, or you go through them. I feel safer hearing it from you.”

She handed the phone to her and continued eating even though she wasn’t feeling

hungry. Maybe she lost her appetite due to curiosity.

” There are so many text messages.”

” Wait, are you waiting? Read it Baby sis.”

Cathy blushed at what she heard “Baby sis”

” Why are you blushing so much?”

” It’s nothing. Just what you said, you called me Baby sis.”

“Yes I’m older and you’re my only family. Well till we find Cindy.”

Cathy took Nelly’s palm into hers as she smiled at her

” There are recordings too.”

” Wfst should we do? We can’t play it here. It might become suspicious.”

” Hurry up with your food then we leave immediately. Okay?”

” Fine but I’m so anxious that I can’t eat.”

” You need to eat Nelly. I guess you haven’t eaten for a while now, especially since your mum passed away.”

” About what?”

” You and everyone. Axl too, I can’t believe he could kill my mum.”

” Hey! Stop it right now. You know you can’t accuse someone without evidence?”

” Yes I know and that’s why I need to get evidence soon.”

” How sure are you that it was him?”

” The same way you feel Mr. Anderson is hiding so much is the same way I feel about the situation.”

Cathy kept silent as she watched her, the level of hatred Nelly had for Axl and Mr. Anderson was great. She was sometimes scared of mentioning their names although she understood Nelly’s plight she still needed some evidence in order to believe all she had said especially as she knew Mr. Anderson had saved her life during the car accident. She still took him as her father and respected him for that kind gesture.

To her, she owed him her life. But Nelly had a different perspective of them and she was scared Nelly was right about them.
