Chapter 300 Good Wife
When Colin heard the voice, his eyes instantly turned cold.
After a while, he asked coldly, "Is there anything wrong?"
The person on the other end of the phone said, "I'm in Cocanel now."
Hearing this, Colin asked in a deep voice, "What do you want?"
The caller replied, "I want to see you and Faye."
Colin sneered lightly, "Nanny Silent, say it directly if you need my help. The hypocritical show of
affection and kindness is unnecessary between us."
The caller was Martha, and Colin had not contacted her since he had taken Faye to meet her last time.
Colin had struggled alone here for years, but she had never shown the slightest care for him.
However, she suddenly called him and told him that she was in Cocanel now. Colin instantly thought of
a saying that when things went awry, there must be some evildoing.
Hearing his words, Martha didn't answer.
After a moment of silence on the phone, Colin said with a frown, "If you have nothing else to say, I'll
hang up."
Martha asked, "Can I meet you?"
Colin refused, "No."
Then, he hung up the phone before Martha could reply.
When he went back to the bedroom, Faye happened to come out of the bathroom after taking a
shower.
When their eyes met, she dried her wet hair with a towel and asked, "Have you finished chatting with
Aunt Carlotta?"
Colin tugged at the tie around his neck and nodded.
Faye took out the hair dryer from a drawer and turned it on. Before her hair was dried, she suddenly
turned it off, turned to look at Colin, and asked, "Are you OK?"
Colin had not thought it was a big deal, but when he heard her question, he inexplicably felt a lump in
his throat.
Seeing his gloomy expression, Faye put down the hair dryer and walked up to him, and asked, "Did
Aunt Carlotta say anything unpleasant?"
Colin pursed his thin lips tightly and then said, "No."
Faye frowned, "Is there anything wrong with the company?"
Colin looked down at her anxious face and pursed his lips silently.
Seeing this, Faye thought he had acquiesced, so she asked, "Farrell Media got in trouble?"
Before he could answer, she denied it herself, saying, "It's impossible. If anything had gone wrong with
Farrell Media, Galen would have contacted me."
She continued to guess, "Is there anything wrong with the new energy project?"
Colin remained silent.
Faye stared at him unblinkingly, trying to find out why he was unhappy from his expression.
But he didn't answer or give any reaction, so she could only say, "If something happens to the new
energy project, you don't need to worry. We will try to solve the problem together. Accidents are not
surprising. After all, it's a brand-new project."
Faye seldom spoke so much, and her every word was tugging at his heartstrings.
Seeing her red lips opening and closing, he stretched out his hands and hugged her into his arms.
Faye said in a muffled voice, "What's wrong?"
Colin lowered his head, rested his chin on her shoulder, and said, "Honey, you're the best."
Faye said, "It's not because of the company's affairs?"
Colin sighed, "No."
Faye moved her hands and hugged him after hesitating for a while, asking, "What happened?"
Colin replied, "Nothing. I just suddenly became a little depressed."
Faye knew he was lying but didn't expose his lie. Belonging © NôvelDram/a.Org.
After they hugged for a while, Colin's cell phone in his pocket suddenly rang again.
When he was about to take out his phone to reject the call with a sullen face, Faye reached into his
pocket and took it out.
Looking at the unknown number on the screen, Faye answered the call under his gaze, and asked in a
cold voice, "Hello, who is it?"
