Chapter 301 Conspiracy

Chapter 301 Conspiracy

After Faye finished speaking, there was no response from the other end of the phone.

When she looked up at Colin and saw his gloomy face, she immediately hang up.

Then, she turned the phone off with her fingers.

After doing all those things, she put the phone back in his pocket.

Colin said in a hoarse voice, "Honey."

Faye said, "Don't wrong yourself at any time."

Colin kept silent.

He had said similar words to her before bringing Carlotta over, and now, she returned them to him.

After finishing speaking, Faye took out her mobile phone and dialed Robert's number.

After the call was answered, she said in a deep voice, "Robert, if you have anything to report to Colin in

the next two days, call me directly."

Robert was stunned and then replied, "Yes, ma'am."

Then, he asked, "Is Mr. Farrell's phone broken?"

Faye answered, "No."

Hearing this, Robert didn't ask any further questions.

At the same time, Martha was standing in front of a floor-to-ceiling window with a gloomy face, holding

her phone.

Blaine sat on the sofa behind her and asked with a frown, "What did he say?"

She replied, "He refused to meet me."

Hearing this, Blaine frowned harder and said, "He refused to meet you?"

Martha tightened her grip on the phone, took a deep breath, and silently looked at the neon lights

outside the window.

Seeing her keep silent, Blaine got up from the sofa and walked to her side.

Martha had been brought to Cocanel by Blaine's assistant yesterday. She had changed her cassock

into an ordinary knitted dress.

When Blaine looked at her, he had to admit she was still able to tug at his heartstrings even though he

had dated many women over the years.

When Martha noticed his gaze, she sneered, "Mr. Farrell, please show some respect."

Blaine's smile froze, and then, he looked out the window with an embarrassed expression and said,

"You have a bad relationship with Colin?"

Martha asked, "What else do you think?"

Blaine was speechless.

After they silently stood side by side for a few minutes, Martha said in a cold voice, "I haven't had a

good look at him since he was born. Do you think we can have a good relationship?"

Blaine asked with a deep frown, "Then, how can you persuade him into supporting me?"

Martha mocked, "You sound as if you're blaming me."

When Blaine kept silent, she asked, "What about you? Mr. Farrell, Colin has been with you all these

years. How is your relationship with him?"

Blaine was at a loss for words again.

They were both extremely unfit parents.

Neither of them was qualified to ridicule the other because they were equally bad.

One was Colin's childhood trauma, and the other was the nightmare on his way to growing up.

The atmosphere was awkward. After a long while of silence, Blaine slowly said, "Colin cares about

Faye very much."

Martha turned her head to look at him and asked, "His wife?"

Blaine nodded, "Yes. He had secretly loved her for many years before they got married, so he was

pampering her."

Martha sneered, "You're such a scumbag. I didn't expect your son to be so consistent in love."

Blaine gritted his teeth and said, "We're on the same boat now! Can you put aside the old grudges for

the time being? Can you stop satirizing me?"

Hearing this, Martha rolled her eyes at him, turned around, and walked toward the sofa, saying, "If I

had not wanted to make up for Colin, I would not have agreed to meet you."

Blaine pursed his lips and lowered his head guiltily.

He had managed to persuade Martha into helping him because he had promised her that Colin would

inherit all the properties of the Farrells in the future.

Martha had hated and loved Blaine for almost a lifetime. Now, she suddenly realized that love was

illusory and that she owed her son a lot.

Thinking of what she had done to Colin, she felt so guilty that she couldn't raise her head.

She had practiced abstinence from meat and prayed every day for years to atone for her sins.

But prayers alone could not expiate her evildoings.

Martha sat down on the sofa, raised her phone, and send a message to Colin, saying, "Colin, can I

have a word with you?"

Colin didn't respond.

When she stared at the phone in a daze, Blaine said, "If we want to persuade him into helping me, we

need to start with one thing."

Martha looked up and asked, "What do you mean?"

Blaine said, "Tiffany killed Faye's parents."

Martha asked in shock, "What?"

Looking at her, Blain gritted his teeth as if he was having an internal struggle. After a while, he said

word by word, "I separated from Tiffany back then because I found she was having a love affair with the

butler."

Martha said, "That butler is Faye's..."

Blaine nodded, "Shepard is her father."

Martha's heart skipped a beat before she asked, "Does she know it?"

Blaine said, "I guess both she and Colin know it."

Martha thought for a moment and asked, "What the hell are they thinking?"

Blaine walked over to the sofa, sat down opposite Martha, looked into her eyes, and said, "No matter

what they are thinking, they would never support Tiffany because of this old grudge."

Martha asked, "Do you want to start with Faye?"

Blaine shook his head, "Faye is as tricky as Colin. Think about it! She was just a kid back then, but she

has not only survived and grown up under Tiffany's nose but also managed to let my father give her a

position in Farrell Media. She must be very scheming."

Martha did not know what to say. Published by Nôv'elD/rama.Org.

Blaine continued, "Faye has an aunt named Carlotta. As far as I know, she's still trying to avenge her

sister's death."

Martha said knowingly, "So, you want me to start with Carlotta."

Blaine didn't answer but changed the topic with a smile, saying, "Dec 29th is Colin's birthday. If you

don't mind, can you go to the old mansion together with me to celebrate it?"

Martha instantly felt a sting in her heart and refused, "No."

Blaine sneered, "You have parted with him for so many years, don't you miss him? I don't believe it."

The look in Martha's eyes went cold before she said, "Blaine, you don't need to sound me out."

Blaine adjusted his sitting posture, straightened his cuffs, and said, "I am not sounding you out. Martha,

I want to get a divorce, so I need you to help me."

Martha instantly understood what he meant, so she said, "You make me sick."

Blaine said calmly, "Only in this way can Colin justifiably inherit everything of the Farrells, right?"

Martha said, "You even make use of your son! I'm glad that I left you."

It was early in the morning when Carlotta got the call from Martha.

After she heard the phone ring, she reached for the phone in a daze and answer the call, asking,

"Hello, who is it?"

Martha said, "Is that Carlotta? Do you still want to avenge Daisy's death?"
