LOVE YOU, UNCLE

LYU 49

Like a man true to his words, Randy proved his promise by returning immediately after attending an important meeting. Even when Stella tried to stop him from going to lunch together and visiting a colleague’s residence, Randy seemed to decline.

“Sorry, Stella. I can’t join you. I already promised my wife to go straight home after the meeting. If you really want to go to Mr. Satrio’s residence, go ahead. And please, give my regards to him,” he said after explaining his refusal.

Stella sighed a little. For God’s sake, why was it so difficult to find a way to melt this man’s heart?

“So, you can’t make it? Just for lunch together?”

Randy shook his head.

“If I have lunch first, my wife will be disappointed. She’s probably waiting for me to have lunch together. So, once again, I apologize for not being able to accept your invitation.”

Stella nodded resignedly. Although annoyed, she finally chose to give up her efforts to persuade Randy to join her.

Meanwhile, Randy immediately hurried. Accompanied by a driver, he decided to return to the hotel right away. Upon arriving and entering the room, Randy found Ghea curled up under the blanket, seemingly enjoying her afternoon nap.

Choosing to let her be, Randy walked towards the wardrobe to change into more casual clothes. Once ready, he confidently headed towards the bed. He sat right next to Ghea, intending to gently wake his wife.

“Ghea…” Randy called softly. His hand extended to gently caress the girl’s cheek. “Ghea… wake up.”

The girl seemed to squirm for a moment. But instead of waking up, Ghea continued to fall back asleep. This made Randy laugh, and he chose to use another method that he was sure would wake his wife.

“Watch out, using this method might not wake you up either.”

Randy leaned in, cupping both of Ghea’s cheeks gently, then deliberately planted a kiss right on the girl’s lips. He nibbled and kissed her slowly.

Feeling something soft, wet, and warm touching and massaging her lips, Ghea opened her eyes in an instant. Realizing that Randy was kissing her, Ghea widened her eyes in surprise. She jerked reflexively, sitting up abruptly, causing their second kiss to involuntarily break.

“Randy!” Ghea exclaimed in annoyance. “Why all the kissing? It’s so improper. I was sleeping!”

Randy just laughed. Wiping his wet lips, he casually responded to Ghea’s protest.

“It’s because you were sleeping like a log. It’s like waking up Sleeping Beauty. I tried shaking you, but you still wouldn’t wake up. That’s why I kissed you. Just imagine you’re a real Sleeping Beauty being awakened with a kiss. And look, it worked, didn’t it? You woke up instantly.”

Ghea snorted in irritation. Why was her husband so good at seizing opportunities? If left unchecked, he might do more of this tomorrow.

“Sly!”

“Let it be. Besides, it’s a kiss from your own husband. Well, don’t nag. Hurry up and change. I want to take you out for a bit. You haven’t had lunch yet, right?”

Ghea nodded. Waiting for Randy for so long, she ended up dozing off. Despite being hungry, she purposely waited for her husband to come so they could have lunch together.

“Alright, I’ll change first. Wait a moment.”

Fifteen minutes were spent by Ghea changing her clothes and applying a bit of makeup. Feeling completely ready, she approached Randy and then went straight to the car. They both spent time exploring, from lunch to visiting several tourist spots Ghea had never been to before. A leisurely walk along the beach while waiting for the sunset. Then, they enjoyed a romantic dinner at a famous cafe that offered a view of both the beach and the sea.

“How about it? Do you like it?” Randy asked as they waited for the tenderloin steak they had ordered.

“I like it,” Ghea nodded. “I really enjoyed today. After so long, I finally got to go out. Honestly, I rarely travel outside the city, let alone abroad.”

Randy was slightly surprised. For the youngest daughter of a wealthy businessman, it seemed impossible to hear that Ghea rarely traveled abroad or even outside the city. But after understanding that Ghea was an exception in her family, Randy immediately felt sorry. Sympathetic towards all the difficulties and unfairness that his wife might have experienced.

“If I may ask, do you actually have a wishlist or a dream destination that you really want to visit?” Randy asked, curious to know if his wife had a dream place that hadn’t been realized until now.

“I do,” Ghea replied quickly. “I really want to go to Disneyland. Whether it’s in Japan, Hong Kong, or America. Just Disneyland. I really want to go there.”

Randy smiled faintly. Her wife’s wish seemed a bit unusual.

“You really are like a child, huh? Your wishlist is not typical.”

“Just consider it a consequence of marrying a child,” Ghea replied casually.

“But even though you’re still a child, you can still make a child, right?”

Ghea pulled a face, trying to digest Randy’s words, then widened her eyes shortly after understanding his meaning. Just as she was about to retort, the cafe waiter arrived, bringing the food they had ordered. They both chose to focus on enjoying their meal.

Randy, in particular, skillfully cut the meat on his plate into small pieces while chatting. After finishing cutting, he lifted his plate and, without permission, exchanged it with Ghea’s untouched plate.

“Why did you switch?” Ghea wondered.

“Eat mine. I deliberately cut it into small pieces so you can just take a bite,” Randy said while encouraging Ghea to enjoy her meal. And of course, the unexpected gesture that he showed once again made Ghea melt.

It seemed that Ghea had every reason to be grateful for marrying Randy. Although he had the flaw of being a bit naughty and mischievous, her husband had a gentle, caring, and understanding personality. Not to mention the unexpected behaviors Randy displayed often turned out to be appropriate and gradually broke down the defenses Ghea had built from the beginning.

“Ghe…” Randy called out when he noticed Ghea lost in thought, not hurrying to finish her dinner. “What are you thinking about? Come on, eat. You might catch a cold. I promise, after this, we’ll go straight home so you can rest and not get too tired.”

Ghea snapped back to reality and nodded. Smiling, she enjoyed the dinner that Randy had prepared for her. They both solemnly savored the intimate dinner moment. While chatting, they shared many things, gradually becoming more familiar with each other, and perhaps, slowly starting to open up.

As promised, after dinner, Randy took Ghea home. Moreover, they had to return to Jakarta tomorrow. Randy didn’t want his wife to get tired and end up falling sick.Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.

“Randy,” Ghea called out when they reached their room and finished changing into their sleepwear. “Come here,” she gestured for Randy to come closer. Then she patted the bed, a sign for Randy to sit beside her.

“Why?” Randy asked, having just finished changing.

“I want to say thank you,” Ghea murmured, sounding a bit shy. She lowered her head, looking a bit bashful when Randy looked at her closely.

“Thank you? For what?”

Ghea stayed silent for a moment, taking a deep breath and summoning the courage to speak. While thinking of the right words to express her gratitude to her husband.

“Hey,” Randy called, reaching for Ghea’s chin, asking her to meet his gaze. “Thank you for what?”

“Uh… well… thank you…”

“Yes? Thank you for what?” Randy deliberately teased. He knew his wife was nervous. “Why are you speaking so hesitantly? Are you nervous?”

Ghea shook her head.

“Not really. It’s just like my mind went blank.”

“So what? Are you saying thank you for a specific reason?”

“In thanks for Randy being so good all this time. Thank you for trying to be a patient husband, for trying to understand my childishness. And thank you endlessly for making me so happy today.”

Randy smiled and nodded.

“You’re welcome. But you don’t need to thank me, Ghe. Isn’t it a husband’s duty to make his wife happy?”

“To be honest, I never expected much from our marriage, Uncle. So, I apologize if there’s still a lot lacking,” Ghea replied softly.

“Don’t think about it, let alone make it a burden. Just go with the flow, and remember, whether it starts with love or not at all, I’ve never once joked in our marriage.”

Ghea nodded quietly. They continued to gaze at each other until, eventually, neither of them knew who initiated it, and a kissing moment happened again.

While holding the back of Ghea’s neck, Randy seemed to kiss her gently. He sipped at her lips alternately. The difference this time was that Ghea looked a bit shy in her responses. As if she were a child who didn’t know anything, Randy understood and tried to guide Ghea to match what he was doing.

Slowly but surely, they seemed comfortable with each other. Even when Randy began to guide Ghea to lie down, she obediently complied.

Soft caresses continued from Randy. Meanwhile, his free hand slowly descended, stroking the exposed skin of Ghea before moving on to the buttons of the pajama shirt she was wearing.

Continuing to lavish attention, Randy carefully unbuttoned one by one. He tried to provide comfort until he dared to touch one of Ghea’s breasts and gently squeezed it.

Ghea jerked in surprise, looking at Randy. Then, she broke their kiss, shaking her head. Signaling to Randy to stop his efforts.

“I-I’m not ready, Uncle. Please, don’t,” Ghea pleaded softly, her eyes welling up with tears.

Randy nodded understandingly. He wiped Ghea’s wet cheeks and whispered equally softly.

“I’m sorry, Ghe. I promise I’ll restrain myself more. I promise I won’t force you until you’re really ready.”

Randy then embraced his wife tightly. Holding her close, trying his best to calm her down because what he did earlier might have frightened her.
