Living With My Lady Boss

Chapter 1412

Wilbur frowned, taking two steps backward. "I just wanted to have a look at the ocean. Can you please not bother me?"

Wilbur could very well tell by now that Jaden was trying to court Elise.

It was precisely Elise's friendliness toward Wilbur that drove Jaden to find fault with him at every turn.

It was not as if Wilbur was flirting with Elise on his own accord. What was wrong with the guy?

Seeing as they were all from the same country and were on foreign grounds together, Wilbur did not want to argue with him and thus held his anger back.

Yet the words Wilbur last said felt like an insult to Jaden as if he was the one trying to make a scene out of nothing.

Back in Dasha, Jaden was the heir to a corporation worth billions. He had never been humiliated quite like this.

Jaden pointed at Wilbur coldly. "Apologize to Miss Adams this very second for your disrespect, or I'll have you thrown off this boat right now."

A hunky man walked over from the back as he spoke, standing next to Wilbur.

It was clear that he was one of Jaden's bodyguards.

Elise frowned. "What are you doing, Jaden? We're all Dashans here, and he did nothing to you. What's your problem?"

Connor frowned as well. "That's enough. Let's go somewhere else, cut it out."

Jaden sneered, pointing at Wilbur's nose. "Count your blessings, you bastard. You're lucky we've got more important things to attend to, or you'd be fed to the fishes!"

"What did you just say to me?" Wilbur could not stand it any longer hearing such humiliating words.

Jaden positively glowered back at him. "Oh? You have a problem with me now?" "I'll give you one last chance to take what you just said back and apologize to me, or you'll be the one getting fed to the fishes," said Wilbur coldly.

Jaden was stunned for a second before he burst out laughing. The commotion drew the attention of others on the deck, and a small crowd of onlookers gathered.

"Did you say you were going to feed me to the fishes?" Jaden pointed at himself, chuckling as he stared Wilbur down.

"That's right," Wilbur said coldly.

Jaden burst out laughing once more. "Well, I'm right here! I'd love to see how you plan on feeding me to the fishes."noveldrama

Wilbur's expression darkened.

Just then, however, Connor came forward. "Seriously, Jaden. Let's just go." He then turned to Wilbur. "Please don't go around getting yourself into trouble too, sir. It won't do you any good."

It was clear that Connor hardly thought much of Wilbur as well, giving him a warning while he was talking Jaden down.

Wilbur scowled. "You two can leave. Not him."

He was pointing at Jaden.

Connor frowned. "Dude, you can't afford to mess with us. Please just stay out of trouble."

Jaden laughed all the more loudly. "You saw it yourself, Connor! I'm not trying to give him trouble. He's the one looking for it."

Connor looked at Wilbur. "I told you to stop getting yourself into trouble."

"What are you doing?" Elise came forward, her expression one of annoyance as she stood between Jaden and Wilbur.

Connor shook his head. "Let's just go. It doesn't look good for us to be caught up with people like this."

Just then, however, two men in suits walked up to the deck with a few policemen in tow, heading toward Connor and the others.

Wilbur frowned. Why were there policemen on the deck?

Just as he was wondering to himself, one of the men in suits said "Are you Connor Adams and Jaden Horts?"

Connor and Jaden turned around, looking strangely at the newcomers.

"Who is Connor Adams, and who is Jaden Horts?" the other man in the suit asked.
