Enough For Him

He slowly stepped back giving me room to move.

I turned around staring at him.

I glanced at the clock, it was only half 5 I still had time.

My hands went straight for his sweatpants. I pulled at the string and removed them.

His fingers held my jaw as I knelt down before him.

” fuck, not the eyes ” he said his eyes slamming closed when I looked up at him.

I laughed as I stroked him before letting my lips cover him.

Leon was the only man I had been with. I knew his body only and that had a special place in my heart.

3 Weeks later

We’re stronger than ever.

I have finally moved back into the house that me and Leon now call home. Leon had just left for work when I woke up. most mornings when I wake up I come downstairs to find Jay already for the day, how Leon has the time to wake up and do this before he goes to work is beyond me.

I’m currently writing a brand-new book. I want to make our wedding special so for Leon’s gift I am going to write this book about him. Leon rarely likes to share with the people that follow him. People see him as this successful man and now he’s got a bad reputation.

I poured myself a cold glass of water, watching jay playing with his toys on the carpet. I took my vitamins and my pill for the morning.

I visited my doctor last week to get me started on the pill, I didn’t tell Leon, but I just thought it was the best decision seeing as though Leon is very busy at work and after everything happening with Jayson we aren’t ready for another baby.

“Hey Jay, do you want to help mommy make some pizza” I said bending down to him. His big bright eyes stared at me.

He nodded at me clapping his hands. I laughed as I picked him up and taking him over to the kitchen. Growing up I always hated when mum would say things like learning to cook for your husband but now I kind of appreciate her words.

Nothing brings me more joy than making dinner for when Leon gets back.

I grabbed all the ingredients that we would need and let Jayson help spread flour all over the counter. He waved his hands at me when his hands got covered in the white powder.

He was so adorable.

“mommy I want to have a go” he said jumping in his seat seeing me rolling out the pizza dough. I smiled moving the dough over to him and getting behind him so that I could guide him.

There is so much I want to teach Jayson, watching him grow has got to be the most rewarding part about being a parent.

Me and Jason spent the rest of the day together, the time passes quickly with Jayson. 6. 30 exactly I heard the sound of the main door opening. I lifted my head when I noticed Leon’s shadow come into the living room. He walked over pressing a kiss to Jays head.

“Daddy” Jayson’s small voice said as he opened his eyes. Leon smiled down at him. “you hungry Jay, I heard you made pizza with mummy” he said lifting him up and folding down his collar.

They both made their way into the kitchen. I followed behind them.

“Go get comfortable I’ll put the pizza in the oven” I said to him placing my hands flat on his back. Leo silently left the kitchen and headed upstairs. I jumped slightly when I hear the door slam.

Am I missing something.

Maybe he just had a bad day at work. Normally he leaved work away from home but I guess it’s not always that easy to do.

I put the two pizza’s in the oven whilst he got undressed upstairs. Tonight, is not the night to sneak upstairs and catch him shirtless.

I played with Jayson for a little bit when Leon came down the stairs again. His eyes glued to his phone.

“How was work?” I asked him to test the waters.

“Great, really good actually” he said smiling up at me but there was a testing look in his eyes and that just confused me even more.

I turned to Jayson like he was going to give me the answer to Leon’s weird attitude. Yes, Charlize ask your 3-year-old son to give you the answer to this overly complicated man.

“How was yours, anything you want to share?” okay Lizzy time to think is there anything that could make Leon annoyed with you.

My eyes went around the room, but nothing came to mind.

I shook my head. Leon sighed looking down for a few seconds before giving me that half assed smile again.

“The pizza Charlize” he sang from the next room; he must have known that I was standing in the kitchen looking lost.

I ran over to the oven the pizza was just ready the cheese bubbling on the top and the crust browning to perfection.

My mind was working overtime as I laid the pizza’s on the cutting board. The distant sound of Leon and Jayson was the only distraction I had.

He couldn’t know could he. I haven’t told anyone about me starting the pill and I’ve been extra careful to take them around Leon.

I placed the pizza’s in the middle as the two boys sat at the table. I watched Leon reach for the bottle of white wine that was on the table and pour two glasses to go with our meal.

I sliced up Jayson’s pieces, his hands were already reaching for a slice. I sat down silently.

“Oh Jay, these pizzas are amazing well done for helping mommy” Leon said his teeth sinking into the cheesy goodness. I watched as Leon slowly moved his eyes over to me.

“are you okay Lizzy, you aren’t eating” he says noticing how I haven’t even reached for a slice yet. Suddenly my appetite had disappeared.

Reluctantly I grabbed a piece and nibbled on the end.

Should I ask him?
