“okay, lets go try this dress on ” Hailey said grabbing my hand and practically dragging me into the dressing room. Her hold on my arm was suspiciously tight.

I watched them bring the dress inside and start to prepare it. The dress was breathtaking but was I really willing to spend all the money on a dress to marry Leon. I wasn’t doubting Leon at all but to pay that much. I just don’t get it.

“will you stop looking at me like that” I groaned glaring at Hailey. She was just standing there with this smug look on her face. Like she knew I was too weak to say no to this dress, we could all clearly see its beauty.

I can’t deny it. But I could see my beauty in this dress.

She held her hands up surrendering to me.

I slowly steeping into the dress and held the front to my chest as they did the back. The seconds waiting for them to do that were agonising. There was a silent moment when the dress was completely on.

“its stunning on you” the lady behind me said stepping back to give me a moment to look at it in the mirror. When she stepped back I stepped closer to the mirror smoothing my hands down the dress.

After a staring match with Hailey I revealed the dress to the others outside. The minute I stepped onto that little podium I felt like a bride. I turned around slowly making sure not to stand on the dress.

” oh baby, its beautiful, you look amazing” mum said her hands flying to her mouth in shock. My eyes went around everyone, each of them sharing a look of awe at the dress.

“its beautiful Charlize” Leon’s father said staring at me. This felt unreal to have them him here. I never thought I would be finally accepted into his family.

Leon’s father jumped up from his seat when I suddenly started to get emotional. He swiped his thumb beneath my eyes.

” I’m sorry darling, I haven’t made your life easy have I ” he chuckled but I could see that he felt guilty.

It was like he broke away the barrier and my tears just couldn’t stop flowing.

” I want to make things right, let me buy this dress for you I will split it with your father as our gift and apology how does that sound” he gently told me.

” I couldn’t possibly ” I begin to say but he just shakes me off.

” you’re the perfect wife for my son Liz and I want to do this for you. You’re family now ” when he said that I heard the girls swooning in the back.

” no wonder Leon is so fucking charming” Jess whispered from behind us.

Throughout the whole process of buying the dress I felt guilty but at the same time I was really excited.

On my drive back to the house I picked up a new toy for Jayson and some food to have for tonight.

The moment I stepped in the house I saw Leon playing around with Jayson on the floor.

” mummy ” Jayson screamed running over to me.

He hugged my legs. ” Hey Jay guess what mummy bought you” I said pulling out the stuffed toy from my bag.

His eyes latched onto the toy pumba I bought. Lion king was his favourite. It’s crazy because when I was little it was mine too.

” mummy I love it” he said squeezing poor pumba to death.

I smiled watching g him run away singing Hakuna Matata.

” Dont I get anything?” Leon said wrapping his arms around me. He placed a kiss to my neck.

” oh don’t act all innocent with me. How could you” I said as I turned around smacking his chest.

He grabbed my hand before I could do anymore damage.

” you shouldn’t do this alone Liz it’s supposed to be a fun experience with your family ” he said looking into my eyes.

I knew that but I hadn’t meant to buy today.

” don’t be mad at me Lizzy I just want you to enjoy your wedding experience, I don’t want you to rush we have our whole life to get married” stupid man and his special words.

He stroked my cheek and leaned in kissing me lightly. Only for him to moan and press his lips harder.

” I have been waiting for you Liz but I can wait that little bit longer as long as we do it right” he said bringing me closer.

He ran his hands down my back. He didn’t stray and get sexual he just held me close. He leaned back pretending to look appalled.

He arrived in the bedroom pacing me down on the floor. He turned me around forcing me to slightly bend over the big vanity.
