Enough For Him

I had been thinking too hard that the boys had gotten through most of the pizza and I was still eating my first one. Leon was staring at me and quickly broke out into a smile when Jayson’s bubbly laughter filled the table.

“Mom, you silly” he giggled watching me. most of the toppings on my pizza had fallen onto my plate. I nervously smiled; nothing brings me more joy than making my baby laugh even if it is at my own accord.

“Mommy is very silly isn’t she buddy” Leon commented.

I don’t feel very silly at the minute.

My nerves were broken by the sound of Leon’s phone ringing. I saw his dad’s name pop up on the screen. I waved him off letting him take it even though I generally don’t like us being on our phones at the table. But I think I can let him off.

Maybe it would give me time to breath a little without him giving me those secretive smiles.

His dad was taking control of a lot of the wedding plans, somehow buying my dress wasn’t enough and he was working with my parents to make our day pretty special.

I finished my pizza and cleaned Jayson’s mouth, he had sauce dripping down his little chin. “Mommy is silly, but you baby is messy” I laughed wiping his little pink lips.

He tried dodging the tissue, but I held him in place cleaning his mouth completely. “drink you milk baby” I said pushing his cup closer to him. I need Jayson to grow tall and strong, so I had to get him addicted to milk very early.

I didn’t really have concerns for his height me and Leon were both quite tall.

Leon finally returned to the table, when Jayson had finished his milk he offered to go get him ready for bed. “you want to watch a movie with daddy” he asked Jayson as he carried Jayson towards the staircase not saying a word to me.

This is getting ridiculous now.

I busied my mind with tidying up, washing all the plates and cleaning the counter from all the mess both me and Jayson had created.

I quickly face-timeputting Hailey. Hailey wanted to get back to her work, so I had agreed to take her daughter tomorrow for her first day back. She didn’t feel comfortable leaving her with nannies just yet and I don’t blame her. Kaleb was a very busy man, so they trusted a nanny that their parents know.

You should’ve seen the face of Hailey when Kaleb suggested a young girl to babysit her new-born. Pretty sure Kaleb slept on the couch that night.

“Hey baby momma,” I said as soon as the call connected. It looked like Hailey had just finished her shower. I heard the distant cries of her daughter in the background.

“Do you still have new-born nappies at your house I think I’m running out” she said, now I know she was packing for tomorrow.

“yeah I bought extra stock, so I have loads in the storage” I explained to her. With the amount of stock, I have you would’ve thought I had another baby.

She looked relieved “oh thank god, I’m all packed then.” She zipped up the bag and relaxed on her bed.

“Are you sure this isn’t too much trouble” I rolled my eyes. It’s only the sixth time she’s asked me that in the last 12 hours.

I could tell she was nervous though.

“that little bundle of joy is a gift not a burden Hailey, its our pleasure to have her with us. Jayson is looking forward to it too” yesterday when we went toy shopping for him he was looking for a brand-new toy for her instead of himself.

My boy was the kindest.

She smiled “I’m so happy that Jayson loves her, I’m looking forward to her future knowing she’s got him to look after her” I grinned too.

“if he’s anything like his father he will definitely be very protective of her” I said, already noticing the familiar characteristics of Leon in my son.

Its both good and bad.

“oh, I know, I’ve got to go but I’ll call you in the morning” she said getting up, as she walked with the phone the louder the cries got.

“At this point I think its Kaleb who’s crying\” she joked to me.

I burst out laughing.

“bye Hans, love you” I said waving at her through the camera.

When the call ended I was instantly brought back to the reality of my situation. That reality came in a handsome 6’2 man standing in the hallway with his arms crossed staring at me.

“Did you call for me?” he asked.

I had to think, did I?

“No, I was just on the phone to Hailey” I said facing him.

He hummed as he walked towards me. he simply passed me making sure to brush past me. “I swear I heard something, or it could be your conscience speaking to me since you don’t want open those pretty little lips for me” he whispered his lips close to my ear.Exclusive content © by Nô(v)el/Dr/ama.Org.

Instantly I felt chills at him being so close to me.

“I’ve given you more than enough chances Liz, I’m seconds away from being mad at you and I really don’t have the energy for that” he said his fingers now tracing my back. His fingers lightly slipping into my shorts tracing the skin.

Oh, drats he knows.

“why would you hide something so important to me Liz, and why the hell would you do it in the first place” he said once I turned around to face him, he could probably see the nervous look on my face. He pushed my hair back.

“you were just so busy, and I didn’t want to bother you” my words were cut short when he covered my mouth with his hand.

“well that’s a lie” he commented, now his eyes bordering angry.

He pulled me in further “I cannot blame you really, I’m the reason you think I don’t want any more kids isn’t that right” oh man, he really can read my mind. Or maybe I’m just stupid and wear everything out in the open.

I bowed my head “I know you want more, but not right now. After everything that’s happened I don’t want to mess up how good things are with us” I told him honestly.

He tilted my chin up so that I was forced to look at him.

His smile was now fully reaching his eyes nothing like the bullshit smiles he was sending me earlier.

Instantly my fingers tugged at the corners of his lips “I’ve missed this smile” I said without even realising what I was saying.

He grabbed my hand placing it against his chest.

“I want more children with you Lizzy. I work so hard to provide for us and I want to give Jayson a childhood that he will remember forever. So, from tomorrow you will stop taking those pills and we will create more offspring to fill this ridiculously large house, is that understood” he pulled me even tighter to his chest.

As soon as he said the words offspring I was laughing, Leon and his words.

“I said, is that understood” he said much firmer.
