Pearl was not in a hurry to tell Richard that Jenny was still alive. She felt that saying it too soon would easily cause unnecessary trouble.

They only had some unclear photos of a boy, which weren't much help. Pearl guessed if there was anything to find, it would be something everyone already knew.

Despite her reservations, Pearl gave the photos to Feather and asked her to figure out who the boy was. But Hanzel wasn't happy. He felt Pearl and Richard were overworking Feather and cutting into his time with her.

Pearl's response to Hanzel's complaints was a blunt, "Get lost."

As expected, Feather proved to be a great investigator, uncovering all about the boy in just three days. Pearl pondered the information. The boy, Chester Hollander, was three and a half. His mom, Jasmine Hollander, had been in college with Richard, studying the same major. Coincidentally, Richard had graduated four years ago.

Richard was shocked by the detailed information. "I remember Jasmine," he said, which caused Pearl to worry.

Richard recalled that Jasmine had a crush on him in college. Unlike others who were open about their feelings, Jasmine was shy and gave him a secret love letter. What made her stand out to Richard was the letter's strange content, filled with odd, abstract ideas, unlike a typical love letter.

This made Richard think of Jasmine as weird. He didn't keep the letter, throwing it away after reading it. They lost touch after that. Now, Jasmine's sudden reappearance with a child resembling Richard was baffling.

"Her love letter was weird?" Pearl asked, focusing on Richard's description. Love letters can be implicit, passionate, or enthusiastic. But why did Richard claim that it was weird?

"I don't remember the exact words because it's been too long. But the letter felt off, full of strange and intense words, almost like it was more of a eulogy than a love letter."

This revelation unnerved Pearl. It did sound very crazy. "So, it can't be just a coincidence that she's shown up with a kid who looks a lot like you," she said.

With a cold gaze, Richard concluded, "It's no coincidence she's back with a child that looks like me." "If that's true, things might be even worse than we thought."
