Chapter 3467 No More Bros Before Hoes, Huh

Chapter 3467 No More Bros Before Hoes, Huh

"As long as he stays out of your sight, I won't make a move," said Ray.

If Gordan were not one of Luke's pals, he would have been long gone.

Anyone who dared to mess with someone Ray cherished would not be let off easily. The only reason Gordan was still breathing was thanks to Luke.

"Alright, Ray. Just let it go. I've moved on and started a new life. Plus, I'm studying at Capital University. We have mutual friends, so running into him is inevitable. If that happens, we'll just be strangers. There's no need to step in for me or act impulsively." Just as Vivian finished speaking, the doorbell rang.

"Is it the clothes delivery?" asked Ray.

"No, while you were talking with Mr. Crawford, I asked someone to buy some medicinal cream. The ones here work better than the ones in Russia. A little massage with it should help you heal faster," Vivian said, grabbing a mask and hat before heading to the door. "Miss, is the boss alright?" asked one of Ray's subordinates.

"He's fine. Did you get the medicine?" asked Vivian.

"Yes, here it is." The subordinate handed her a pharmacy bag.

Vivian took it, closed the door, and began applying the medicine to Ray's injuries.

Luke sat on a single-seater couch, watching Gordan lying motionless on the couch. He felt helpless. "If you're really feeling that bad, just go to the hospital."

"No way. Getting beat up and then going to the hospital? That's embarrassing." Gordan scoffed. "I already ordered medicine through a delivery app. Once I apply it, I'll be fine."

Seeing that he had things handled, Luke did not press further.

After a moment of silence, Gordan suddenly asked, "Uh... Luke, how's Vivian doing?" "You're worried about her?" Luke turned to look at him.

Gordan rolled his eyes. "Worried? No way. I just accidentally made her cry last time, and I don't want any revenge coming my way. So, if she's really upset, I'll just avoid her from now on."

"Luca said Vivian's not doing well. She's stuck in a serious slump, probably the worst she's ever been. Wouldn't be surprised if she started having some really dark thoughts," Luke suddenly said.

"That shameless woman? No way she'd let it get to her," Gordon scoffed dismissively. "Out of everyone, she's the last I'd ever believe would lose herself over this."

Luke looked at him with a half-smile, half-smirk. "See? I knew you wouldn't believe me." "It's because it's not true," Gordan replied stubbornly as a hint of unease crept into his chest.

"Come on, let's go over this route. If everything looks good, I'll need you and Rain to make the trip." Luke did not push further. Instead, he tapped his phone, casting the screen onto

the computer monitor.

"Why me? If Rain's going, just send Gale with her. I'm injured. I can't do anything now," Gordan argued. "Besides, those two haven't seen each other in a while. Wouldn't it be a great chance for them to spend some quality time together?"

"Gale has to stay here. He can't return to A City now." Luke paused for a moment and asked, "You're not avoiding going back just because Vivian is here, are you?"

"What? What does she have to do with me?" Gordan frowned. Him staying here because Vivian was here?

What a joke.

For some reason, just thinking about Vivian made him even more restless.

Gordan could not help but wonder who poisoned Vivian, and what kind of toxin had left her body in such a terrible state?

As he lay sprawled on the couch, still lost in thought, the doorbell rang.

Luke kicked the couch lightly. "What are you spacing out for? Your medicine's here. Go open the door."

Gordan rolled over. "Luke, I'm injured. Why don't you get it for me?"

"I'm overseas. I can't show my face," Luke replied mercilessly.

"Luke, ever since you got a girl, you've totally changed. Guess it's no more bros before hoes, huh?" Gordan whined but still dragged himself up to open the door.

At the entrance, the delivery guy stood waiting. "Sir, here's your order."

"Alright." Gordan took the package, then, for some reason, instinctively glanced to the side. At that moment, Vivian was also opening the door for the store associate. His gaze darkened. Vivian was wearing a cap and a mask, but she still felt his stare and turned in his direction. For a second, their eyes seemed to meet.

Vivian immediately noticed the bruises on Gordan's face. They were way worse than Ray's. It looked like Ray did not suffer any losses this time.

She was not sure why, but a strange sense of satisfaction welled up in her.

Thinking about all the times Gordan had made her miserable, seeing him beaten to a pulp actually felt well-deserved. That sense of satisfaction even dulled the bitterness she had

been carrying.

Without sparing him another glance, she dragged the shopping bags into her suite and shut

the door, completely cutting off Gordan's view.

Leaning against the door, Vivian let out a quiet sigh of relief.

"What's wrong?" Ray asked curiously.

Vivian took off her mask. "Nothing, just checking out these new clothes."

"Alright." Ray helped move the bags to the couch.

"I'll go try them on," Vivian said excitedly. After all, she was still a woman. New clothes were irresistible.

"Okay." Ray nodded and went back to his work.

Gordan shut the door with a gloomy expression on his face.

Luke glanced at him. "Who pissed you off?"

"Who else?" Gordan fumed. "Vivian! I opened the door, and she just so happened to be opening hers too. And guess what? She saw me, didn't say a damn word, and even gave me an attitude. Who does she think she is?! I'm so pissed off."

Luke raised an eyebrow and asked with a knowing tone, "You saw her give you attitude?"

"Of course..." Gordan trailed off. It seemed that it was not really the case.

Now that he thought about it, Vivian had been wearing a hat and sunglasses. He could not even see her face properly.

"You couldn't see, could you?" asked Luke. He did not even need to ask. He was sure Vivian had been fully covered up. There was no way Gordan could tell if she had actually thrown

him a look.

"So what? She meant to do it. She saw my face all messed up from her brother's punches and didn't say a damn thing, not even an apology!"noveldrama

Gordan was fuming. He could not shake the feeling that Vivian should have at least said

something.

Luke cut straight to the point. "Then why didn't you say something to her? You barged in just now. That wasn't exactly polite."

"Luke, I'm starting to think Vivian paid you off," Gordan grumbled as he flopped onto the couch. He grabbed his phone, switched to the front camera, and took a good look at his

battered face.

His handsome face was temporarily ruined.

At this rate, it would take at least two weeks before he was presentable again.

"Man... My face..." Gordan let out a dramatic sigh. Then, he heard Luke simply say, "I didn't

take any money. I'm just stating facts."

"You're totally taking her side," Gordan muttered under his breath as he applied the medicated tincture on his face. The second it touched his skin, a sharp sting shot through him, making him wince and bare his teeth in pain.
