“So, you’re really Rose’s father?” Reva asked to clear her confusion.

“Yes. Her name is Roselet Sophia Haysbert, daughter of Calvin Logan Haysbert.” Calvin cleared her doubt.

“Then why did she call Ethlyn as ‘Mommy’?” Reva asked again.

“Isn’t it obvious, Reva?” Zordan replied, pulling the floor under Ethlyn’s feet.

“That’s not true. My pup died years back, and my parents didn’t lie about that.” Ethlyn defended her parents, not agreeing with what Zordan said.

Calvin chuckled, shaking his head. “Really? So, much trust in that parent who got rid of Rose when you were in a Coma.” he taunted. “Anyway, keep thinking that way. I don’t want to break the perfect image of your parents in your mind,” he added and stood up on his feet.

“Yes!! You gave birth to twins, Ethlyn.” Christian finally decided to tell her the truth that she deserved. “Your firstborn pup was Christian, who is not between, and your other pup was a girl. And she is none other than Rose.” Her father added and then started narrating everything from the beginning to till now. Ethlyn stood up on her feet while hearing this.

She recalled how Roselet had called her ‘Mommy’ when she caught her. That was because she was indeed her mommy.

“What rubbish, Christ? Why are you filling nonsense in our daughter’s mind?” Abigail scolded her mate for telling the whole truth to Ethlyn. “Ethlyn, listen to me, princess….” She held Ethlyn’s shoulder to talk with her.

Reva gasped, jumping a little back, feeling scared and shocked at what had just happened.

“My… my princess slapped me?” Abigail stated, more like she asked in shock. “My princess?”

“No.” Ethlyn shook her head. “You were slapped by that mother whose daughter was separated from her just because you wanted to get rid of her. You were slapped by that mother to whom you lied about her daughter’s death.”

Ethlyn raised her hand again; Abigail shut her eyes in fear of getting slapped by her own daughter again, but pushing her away, Ethlyn punched her fist into the wall behind her. She started punching her hand on the wall repeatedly.

“Ethlyn!!” She slowed her hand not to disturb her.

“Cinder, don’t heal this injury,” Ethlyn said and kept hitting her hand on the wall until Abigail came in front of the wall.

“If you’re mad at me, then hit me. Don’t hurt yourself, Princess.” She said, holding Ethlyn’s hand.

“I’m not mad at you, Mom. I’m mad at the daughter who raised her hand on her mother.” Ethlyn said, and a lone tear escaped from her eyes.

“Ethlyn..” Abigail whispered, seeing Ethlyn in so much pain. Ethlyn’s tight slap was ringing in her ear. She was not mad at her for slapping her, but she wasn’t able to measure the limit that she crossed, because of which her daughter had to raise her hand at her mother.

Ethlyn snatched her hand from her grip and was about to walk out when her eyes landed on Nathan. She reached near him and spoke.

“I’m sorry, Nathan. I don’t want you in my life again.” She spoke and then looked at her Ex-mother in law. “I’m sorry.” She started, leaving from there when she heard Saisha’s words.

“You’re leaving my son for that Alpha.”

Ethlyn turned her head before replying. “No, Aunt Saisha. Your son had asked me to go near the father of my pup back then.” She turned around and started leaving again.
