The Proud Boss Lady.

Chapter 11: 11

Chapter 11: 11

“It has been a while I last heard from Zed. Is he alright?" Freya asked Carla.

“Oh, you haven't heard?" Her friend asked her. She was designing a wedding dress for Theeya, so she

was caught up in that and her winter collection since it was almost due to be out to the public.

“Heard about what?" She asked as Carla showed her the video of Soraya shouting and talking ill about

him.

“That bitch!" She snarled and clenched her fist in anger.

“Zed was at fault as well," Carla suggested.

“No, he wasn't, he was a victim of love, he thought having sex with her would make her fall for him, but

it didn't." Freya sat in her seat.

“But, but---" Freya cut her off

“Carla please!" She shut her up.

“Do you know where he is right now?" She asked.

“No, you could call and ask you know," Carla smirked walking out.

Zed parked the car in the garage after a hard day of work and then headed into his apartment. He was

tired from driving people around but at least it was worth it. He earned handsome pay, even though it

wasn't more than what Soraya paid him.

He unlocked the door to his apartment and stepped inside.

“Freya?" He said through his phone.

“Zed, where are you? It's been ages since I heard from you." She asked.

“I am in my apartment, Freya, just caught up with work since I no longer work for Soraya." He told her.

“I just heard that, so sorry to hear that Zed, I am." She apologised.

“Its fine Freya, I'm over it." He sat at the kitchen counter as he waited for his leftover pizza in the

microwave to warm.

“So what did you do now?" She inquired.

“Um, for now, I am an Uber driver, I need to save up to open the coffee shop I was talking about, I got

the shop, it's left with the equipment." He shrugged.

“Why didn't you tell me, I could help." She sat straight.

“I didn't want to worry you that much, love, you have a business to run as well." He added taking out

the pizza and pouring himself a glass of coke.

“Not taking that Zed, I would send you some money tomorrow to get some of the things and after work,

I would want to see you so we talk about investment." She smiled.

“Thanks, Freya, I don't know what I would have done without you." He said as her heart melted.

“You are welcome dear, anyways sleep tight and don't let the bed bugs bite." She said to him as she

hangs up. She stood on her bed happily dancing.

There might be hope for me after all. She said to herself.

“Hi," Jesse said leaning by the door as Nichole prepared dinner.

Nikki had gone out on a date with one of her colleges and wasn't coming home for the night, so it was

left with Nichole and Jesse.

“Jeez, you scared me, Jesse." Nichole put her hand on her chest.

“I'm sorry love." He said as he held her waist from behind.

“What's cooking?" He whispered in her ears making her shiver.

“Um, er, vegetable stir fry." She bit her lips.

Jesse trailed kisses along her neck, making her lose control of the food she was cooking. She let out

soft moans while he did so.

“I'd be watching tv, call me when you are done." He winked at her as he left the kitchen.

That was intense! She thought to herself as she continued with her meal.

“How many times are you going to watch 'To all the boys I've ever loved?" Sunny asked walking

through the door.

“Until I find me a man, you've got Keith and I've got nobody, except Peter Kavinsky, he's soo dreamy."

Hailey cooed.

“Sitting home all day long won't get you a man," Sunny said sitting beside her best friend.

“Urgh." Hailey rolled her eyes.

“Lazy ass." Sunny muttered.

“Hey, I heard that. Anyways when is lover boy coming home?" Hailey asked.

“He's your brother, you should know." She shrugged.

“Well, I don't, so when is he?" She asked eating a gummy bear.

“Next week and he said his best friend is coming along as well, probably you could get to know him."

Sunny suggested.

Even though Keith's college wasn't far from home, he decided to rent an apartment instead of going to

school from home. His parents and older sister didn't care anyway, so far as he was schooling, they

were okay with it.

“It doesn't seem like a bad idea after all. I thought 'Mr-I-belong- with-the-popular' and I were meant to

be, but he turned out to be the biggest jerk ever." Hailey told as they burst into laughter.
