Edward pulled over in the driveway and stepped out of the car. He was in the Hudsdon’s mansion and he needed to check on Jayden and his maid.

That hit was a blast and he wondered what he would have happened if he hadn’t stepped in and pushed Christine. He tried so hard to decipher what had happened to the lights to cause great chaos but he couldn’t.

“Good morning Mum.” He bowed and greeted Mrs Hudson.

“Edward, you’re here already. I was about to call you.” His brows knitted into confusion.

“Really, I hope there’s no problem?”

“There is.”

“Mum, please have a seat; you don’t need to stand for long.” He supported her and made her sit on the gold couch.

“It’s Christine.” She shakily said and continued.

“Her life is in danger and it’s so obvious that Fanuel doesn’t give a damn!”

Edward sighed and could only agree with her. Yesterday’s incident was enough to prove that Christine isn’t safe.

“You’re right, I noticed that also.”

“See? I don’t want anything to happen to my daughter in law, you need to talk to Fanuel to triple the guards staying in his mansion, I can’t bear to hear any bad news.”

“I doubt Fanuel would listen to that, he will definitely tell me he can’t waste his men on something that’s just a sham.”

“That’s why I’m telling you this, if there’s anyone Fanuel listens to it is you. Talk to him and make him do that, if possible; make him assign a personal maid to her. Nothing should happen to Christine despite his nonchalant attitude towards her, she’s now a part of the Hudson’s!.” She said with so much authority and positivity that made Edward sigh.

He promised to talk to Fanuel once they are back from their honeymoon and she sighed in satisfaction.

“Is Jay in?”

“No, he went to the hospital this morning to check on that maid.”

“Ok then, tell him I came around.”

“I will, please stay for breakfast ”

“Don’t worry, I will end up sleeping once I taste any meal in this house. I will come back for dinner.”

“Alright then, take care of yourself.”

He nodded and took his leave, he had come over to talk to Jayden concerning what happened at the wedding, he just needed to clear his curiosity but too bad he’s in the hospital.

Does he really care for her that much that he had to stay in the hospital for that long?

He pinch his chin as walked out but bumped into someone.

Not a hard bump though until he saw the person he bumped himself into, he ran mad with rage.

“What the fúçk Alex?!”

“No what the heck dude?”

“Yeah, forgive my klutz for not noticing a King who has the whole authority to block the entrance.” He replied sarcastically and Edward bit his lips and smirked.

“I’ve got precious time to spend on important things, not a vagabond like someone who decides to leave a wonderland for a fairyland.”

“hmmm.. fairyland huh? Could it be the reason why you act and think so lowly?”

Edward glared at him.

“Fairy are tiny creatures, so tiny and useless.”

“Keep bluffing nonsense, what the hell are you doing here?”

“I should be the one to ask you that, this isn’t your home ” Edward smiled dangerously at him.

“I don’t know why you left Chicago but I promise to cut you Into shreds if you don’t behave your stupid self in New Jersey. Men don’t take it lightly with boys.” Edward said and pushed him out of his way.

Edward gritted his teeth in anger and started the rear engine before speeding off.

He was Fanuel’s paternal cousin and a pain in the ass ever since high school. His father was the special adviser to the President and his Mum was a chef.

He’s a spoiled brat who always gets things done in his way and causes chaos anywhere he goes. He lived a reckless lifestyle and he’s dangerously wicked.

They all attended the same college and Alex always did a good job of getting Fanuel detained.

He caused a great fight between Fanuel and Edward just because of a girl!

Edward was madly in love with the Vice President’s daughter but it was an unrequited love, Alex saw this as an opportunity to cause a conflict between the friends and framed Fanuel for sleeping with the girl meanwhile Fanuel doesn’t give a shit about the existence of any girl.

He had locked Fanuel up in the basement of the Hudson mansion for two days in a bid to kill him, Fanuel admitted that Alex was after his life.

Alex had caused an accident by tampering with the brakes of Fanuel Hudson which caused him an accident that gave him a scar on his back but he turned it into a tattoo drawing.

Fanuel was weak then but Alex was taunting, threatening and annoying.

He lured Mirabel while they were dating and slept with her, showing him the video of their sex tape.

Fanuel wasn’t angry that Mirabel slept with a guy, he was mad that the guy was Alex!

He hated Mirabel with passion and called off the relationship without any reason. Mirabel took that as an advantage and told the press that she was tired of the relationship.

Alex hated Fanuel without any solid reason, Edward had tried to think maybe because Fanuel was healthy or cute, but these guys have the same qualities.

They were fucking cute and dangerously rich.

Malcom Cruiz, Alex Dad had to send him to rehab in Chicago.

He couldn’t have it with him any longer but his return came as a bombshell of shock to everyone present at the wedding.

Fanuel went mad with rage when he saw him touch Christine that if not for the media and press, he would have beaten him so hard to death.

Edward’s phone chimed loudly in his pocket and he used a hand to retrieve it.

Celine’s name popped up and he sighed in frustration, he just realized how distant he had been with his girlfriend.

He picked the call and waited for a blast as usual.

Yeah, his girlfriend is the Vice President’s daughter currently and she’s now a pain in the ass.

He loved her no doubt but he isn’t into any committed relationship bullshit, his cuteness needs to be shared.

“Hey babe.”

“How dare you Edward?”

“What have I done this time?”

“You touched a girl and hugged her! It’s all over the TV and magazine!!” She screamed her lungs out.

Edward scoffed without any hint of worry but rather saw the call as a very boring type and yawned, his eyes fixed on the road as he continued driving.

“Which girl again?”

“At the wedding?!”

“There were many girls Celine, you’re a girl also so stop whining.”

“I’m talking about the bride you idiot!! How dare you touch Christine!!”
