The Great Medical Saint

Chapter 567

Right then, the townsfolks gathered around the ruins and watched the scene unfold. The two dead bodies on the ground were still bleeding, filling the air with the stench of blood.

Even though Matthew wasn't loud, everyone present was convinced. It looked like all Sebastian had to do was say a name, and that person would be the next one to get killed.

Watching Colton and Finley die before his eyes, Sebastian was terrified for a moment. Then, a sense of thrill took over.

Sebastian felt his pent-up anger from over a decade burst out at once. He even wished he could pick up a brick from the ground and smash it on them a few times.

Upon hearing Matthew's question, Sebastian suddenly remembered something. "There are two people in the town who borrowed money from Dad. They haven't paid him back for more than ten years. Does that count?"

Walking over to the rubble, Matthew got himself another brick. "Lead the way." Sebastian pointed at his neighbor. "It's my neighbor. I'll guide you—"

The crowd suddenly erupted in a commotion. Many people stepped back, leaving one person standing in the open space. All eyes were on him.

It was Odell Myler, a man in his 50s. Looking fancy, he had a gold pendant around his neck, a gold watch on his wrist, and an Audi car key in his hand. He looked pretty successful.

But the look on his face was one of pure terror. When he saw Matthew looking over, his face turned as white as a sheet.

Odell kept trying to explain to Sebastian, "I'm strapped for cash at the moment, Sebastian. It's not that I don't want to pay you back. I'm still figuring out how to. Please don't kill me. If you do, you won't get back any of your money."

Sebastian snapped, "Every time, it's the same excuse about being tight on money. It's been ten years. You drive a fancy car and a nice watch, yet I still haven't gotten a dime back from you. You have to settle up today."noveldrama

Odell went pale, and his eyes were filled with fear. "I'll pay you back right away. I'll figure out a way to get you money. Don't worry. I swear I'll pay you."

Matthew approached Odell with a brick. "Then make it quick."

Odell was shaking with fear as he kept fumbling with his phone. "I'm sending the money right now. It'll be in your account in just a minute.

"Alright. The money has been transferred. Can you check your account, Sebastian?"

With a chime, Sebastian's phone buzzed with a text message alert.

Matthew took out his phone and glanced at it. "Alright. I've received the money." Odell breathed a sigh of relief. But upon seeing Matthew still walking over, he screamed in horror, "Y-you stay there! I have paid what I owed. Stop—"

Before Odell could finish his sentence, a brick hit him right in the mouth. The blow left him with a mouth full of blood, and a few of his teeth got knocked out.

Odell screamed in pain. "I already paid him back! Why are you still hitting me?"

Matthew coldly remarked, "I hate it when people don't pay back what they owe. Hang in there. I'm going to smack you a couple more times."

The brick smashed into Odell's face three times straight. He ended up covered in blood, his mouth a bloody

mess. He then collapsed on the

ground and became unconscious.

Matthew turned to Sebastian again. "Who else has picked on you?"

The townsfolks looked at Sebastian in horror, fearing that he would mention their

name. The tension in the air suddenly seemed suffocating.

Sebastian shook his head. "No one else."

few more

In truth, there had been cases like that, but they were trivial. Plus, Matthew was way too brutal. Sebastian felt like it would be foo much to ask Matthew to step in for these matters.

Upon hearing Sebastian's words, the townsfolks breathed a sigh of relief.

Matthew nodded. "In that case, let's start searching for it."

Sebastian gazed at the ruin with a troubled look. With all this rubble and debris, how were they supposed to find the item?

Noticing the excavator nearby, Sebastian turned to Matthew. "Do you know how to operate an excavator, Mr. Grant?"

Matthew tossed away the brick in his hand and glanced at the excavator nearby. Then, he shook his head.

"I don't."

Sebastian looked at the crowd, wanting to call out to a familiar face to help. But when he saw everyone backing away in fear, he couldn't bring himself to ask.

A man in his 30s stepped forward from the crowd. "I can operate an excavator, Sebastian. Just tell me what you need me to dig up." As he spoke, he made his way to the excavator. en

Sebastian saw the man and was filled with gratitude. "Thanks, Kayson."

Kayson Werner responded with a grin. "Theo saved me once, and I'd always

remembered the favor. So don't mention it."
