The Girlboss Begs for Remarriage

Chapter 2578

Gashface snapped, "Why would you help these slugs when you could afford a hundred mil? I can't say much since I'm the loser here, but I don't get it—why are you so keen on being a sucker?"

Jada smirked. "You're too insignificant to understand the mind of those greater than you. Money is just a number to us-when we were no longer worried about it, my boss grew to like being praised. And who wouldn't want both fame and accomplishment?"

Gashface could not argue against that, but what Jada said did make sense.

People could get ruthless where wealth was concerned, but that meant that people like Frank might exist too, even if his rewards might not be directly proportional to the wealth he paid out!

But that was Frank's business and not his. What was wrong with living carefree with a hundred million?

Hell, he would not need to invest! With the interest gained by just keeping the money in a bank account, he could lead a life free from worry.

With that in mind, Gashface promptly signed the agreement and threw the carbon copy to Alda.

Jada looked through it and nodded. "That was quick! Now, shall we discuss your agreement violation?"noveldrama

"Whatever. I'll just pay up, will that do?" Gashface shrugged, not worried at all now that he got a hundred million from Frank.

"No, that's not what I mean. It's something else entirely!" Jada smiled. "Don't you think it's contract fraud, selling us a jerrybuilded project?"

Gashface was utterly confused. "I sold it to you? You were begging us for it."

"We were, but you inflated the price heinously while also setting us up with half- baked construction work."

"The contract has been signed!" Gashface argued. "You should honor contractual obligations!"

He clearly had no idea what the woman before him had done, or that she was adept at business aside from punching.

Someone like Gashface was really nothing to him, even at her mercy.

"Contractual obligations? Does that mean you have to be my slave for life if we signed a slave contract? You see, as long as it's legal, any agreement can be golden... but I'm sorry to say you've broken the law!"

Gashface was stunned.

At this point, if it were some civilians like those proprietors arguing about a contract with him, it would have been easy. They were weak, and Gashface could do something about that.

But that was not the case with Frank and Jada—they were rich, so they would definitely have a strong legal team, and he would simply lose!

"Y-You swindled me!" he ultimately screamed.

Jada smirked. "Why don't you ask the proprietors over there, who were the ones who did the swindling first? Don't shout for justice when your crimes catch up to you. People like me would never stand for it!"

She kicked Gashface right as she finished, but the man did not even feel the pain,

as he was searching fervently for a solution.

However, there was none, no matter how he racked his brains, and the reason was simple: they came prepared, while he was not.

That was how he fell for that inescapable trap.

However, he was not giving up, even presuming that Frank was just joking with him. "You... You're really willing to waste so much time on people like them?"
