The Girlboss Begs for Remarriage

Chapter 2576

"Free?'

Marika's tone was cold. "Sure, we're free, but what about the civilians you butchered?"

Stunned, the cabal geezers cried, "What are you saying, Marika?! Don't believe that brat-you have to trust us on this!"

"How could I trust you, when the evidence has proven otherwise?" Marika growled, charging ghostfire over her palm.

The geezers traded glances. "Y-Your powers returned?"

"Of course. I've been tasked by that gentleman to bring you to justice!"

Even as the geezers understood their situation and considered how righteous Marika was, they decided that begging was pointless.

With a quick exchange of glances, they all leapt toward her in attack.

Seeing that she stood no chance, Marika turned to run, and the geezers all gave chase, eventually cornering her in a narrow alley.

"What do you want?" she growled coolly.

"What, you ask? See, the truth is that we're definitely the type of person you hate the most! And now that you've found out about that, we have no choice but to wipe you out!"

"Don't worry. We're not going to defile you, seeing that we've spent so much time together. It'll soon be over."

Marika sighed. "I was such an idiot for trusting all of you all this while, only to be betrayed... But I don't get it. What's your reason in turning against the teachings of our mentor? It's not like you don't have money. Why do you have to hurt people for it?"

The geezers laughed. "Do you understand what greed is? Unlike you, we don't have noble ideals and are no different than the next person. Don't blame us for wanting to become kings of the underbelly!"

They charged at Marika as soon as they finished, only for another Marika to show up.

While they were left confused, the face of the other Marika blurred and was suddenly Frank!noveldrama

The geezers were shocked-they had fallen for a trap!

The one who had snapped at them earlier was a fake, as Frank lured them into revealing their true colors so that Marika abandoned them!

And now, Frank spread his arms and smiled. "You'd all be dead if it wasn't for this lady's kindness. Now get in line, down on your knees-you're all going to die, so there's no rush!"

The geezers froze and turned toward Marika, but she turned away in silence.

Even if they were all members of the same cabal, she had neither cause nor sentiment to defend them, especially when they had just tried to kill her.

It was sickening!

She might be gullible and had no mind of her own, but she was neither stupid nor saintly either!

To make things worse for the geezers, they know that they would not win against Frank, and their only shot was to guilt trip Marika. "Are you really going to forget about our camaraderie?"

Contrary to their hopes, instead of getting guilt-tripped, Marika argued, "You're the one who forgot first. Who knows what would happen to me if I let you go."

To be honest, she hated them now-they were all trained under an upstanding faction, but as it turned out, she was the only one who cared about being virtuous. Who could stand the thought of these bastards committing atrocities behind her back?

"Get on with it! It's way worse if I'm the one doing it!" Frank snapped, getting a little impatient.

"Yeah, you're great, but you're not catching all of us if we split up!"

Suddenly, the cabal geezers dashed across every direction, but Frank was far stronger than they could ever have imagined.

A formless force descended from above, pummeling them into bloody puddles.
