The Girlboss Begs for Remarriage

Chapter 2299

The guest was actually afraid and sobered up somewhat as soon as Meg barked orders into her walkie-talkie.

Still, he snapped, "What, do you want a fight? I'm telling you even Mr. Frankton has to call me boss when he sees me!"

After all, he really wanted to look good and refused to suffer anyone's contempt especially not the manager of some insignificant karaoke bar. Otherwise, his reputation would suffer a blow if word got out!

The guest was just trying to intimidate Meg with his bullshit and make her give up. If she just caved a little, he would do the same and leave right away.

Regrettably for him, Meg was not a pushover, as she knew the guest's deal. There was no way he knew Frank, and he was insignificant on top of that -Meg was acquainted with plenty of rich people herself, and while there were troublemakers among them too, they were not like this guest.

Even as the thought crossed her mind, Ida Cahn arrived with some bouncers, asking Meg, "What happened, Ms. Quill?"

"A guest had too much to drink. Take him away."

"Take me away?!"

Seeing Ida and the bouncers encircling him, the guest snapped, "I'm a customer! I paid to be here, and this is how you treat me?" "Why not?"

Frank had suddenly appeared out of nowhere, snapping at the guest, "Causing trouble just because you're drunk and trying to bully a woman! If you really want a fight, then come at me!"

Meg and Ida's eyes lit up, both of them tacitly taking a step back to let Frank take the stage.

On the other hand, the guest could see that Frank was no average Joe but considered Frank and the bouncers beneath him.

That was why he intended to vent his frustrations on Frank instead, so that he could leave with his head held high.

"Trying to poke your nose in my business, brat?! I'll break your face!"

The guest was in front of Frank just as he finished, raising his fist and ready to launch a jab.

However, he did not even see Frank

move, avoiding his jab and seizing

him by the collar. "Remember-the

first

drunk you must do after you get

drunk is go home and sleep. Who knows when you might run into someone better and destroy you!"

And with those words, he threw the guest outside.

There was an audible "Oof!", and soon, peace was restored in Golden Lily.

"What brings you here?" Meg hurried to Frank happily just then.

"You probably wouldn't know, but Ms. Quill missed you so much!" Ida chimed in, teasing Meg.

Meg did not shy away despite beingnoveldrama

teased so openly. After all, everyone knew how things were between her and Frank, and she was guilty as charged anyway.

In fact, she grinned. "Exactly. You're such a busy man that you can't even spare time for me anyway."

"Well, I'm here now." Frank smiled, quickly putting the subject to rest.

If anything, he was not here to have fun. With Alda and Callie constantly messing with him in his own office, he decided to bail for a couple of days.

It had really been a while since he came to Golden Lily, and he could use the peace and quiet.

"Perfect timing. The VVIP room is open-come with me, Mr. Frankton!"

Meg smiled as she led the way and told a

slackinter, "The boss is here. No

slacking off now, and tell the girls hanging out at the lounge to show him a good time!"

"Got it!" The waiter smiled in understanding and hurried off, and the hostesses were soon gathered in one room.
