The Girlboss Begs for Remarriage

Chapter 2297

"Don't worry about me, Ms. Quill," Alda told Nadia awkwardly after Sayna left. "I'm not trying to be mean to you—it's just your sister I can't deal with." While she did not have to, Alda was not as brazen like Sayna-if anything, she really preferred to remain respectable instead of being misunderstood.

"I understand." Nadia nodded. "Even before she came, my sister said that we should get along without any bad feelings, since your quarrel is with her and has nothing to do with me."

"Good." Alda sighed in relief-Sayna could be likable when one thought about it, though Alda still would not like her anyway!

Nadia then turned to Frank, asking, "May I have my own desk and computer?"

"Sure!"noveldrama

As soon as he finished, Frank arranged for someone to bring in an expensive desk and an Alienware PC for Nadia. Like Nadia had put it, Sayna could be difficult, but this was not about her, and Frank did not have to take out his frustrations on Nadia.

And whatever her goals might be, Nadia would prove helpful. Why should Frank not want to make more money?

"Since you're not doing anything else for the moment, I have a proposal you could check out."

Nadia sent Frank an email, and he was impressed with how amazingly detailed it was.

Moreover, one thing was for sure: Nadia had just started on it yesterday. She certainly deserved a PhD with such skill.

"It's a good proposal." Frank nodded. "I'd have an ease of mind letting you take charge... though the time is not right, so you'd have to wait." "Sure."

Nadia was not that eager for results so soon anyway. She was just here to bridge the gap between herself and Frank, and she did not press her luck although he had just rejected her proposal.

"What's going on? What's she doing here?"

That was when Jada entered, immediately fuming when she saw that Nadia now had her own desk beside Frank's.

"Hello, Ms. Turin." Nadia greeted her. "I'm Mr. Frankton's secretary starting from today. We'll be working together from now on."

"Secretary?" Jada stared at Frank quizzically to see him nod, and she smiled. "That's good, though you should know that it's not easy being a secretary, Ms. Quill. There's times when you have to take the buffet, making necessary sacrifices... so prepare yourself." Content belongs

"Don't listen to that crap," Frank butted in before Nadia could answer. "We're a proper company, and we don't trade sexual favors here. Perish the thought!"

While Nadia doubted Jada's

character, she could see what Frank

was really like—she was sure he

would come to her aid when

necessary, and so, took Jada's

words as a joke.

"Does that mean that's how you got promoted, Ms. Turin?" she asked cheekily.

Jada scowled, not expecting that Nadia would leave her speechless as she threw her own words right back at her.

"Haha!" Alda laughed loudly, as she did not expect the usually witty Jada to be stumped too.

"Back to business. How are your preparations?" Frank asked.

"Complete." Jada nodded. "And not just on the business side of things. Anytime they do anything out of line, they will pay with blood!"

Frank nodded. "You don't need my permission should hard decisions have to be made. Just decide for yourself."

After all, Jada was better than him when it came to work, and Frank had no worries leaving them to her.

Callie sighed just then. "You're such

a lucky man, Mr. Frankton! All these babes around you... I'm jealous! the way doesn't the Cerulean

Summit Legion serve you? Whel

send a couple of pretty boys over to help me kill time?"
