Exactly! Maybe Ranita wanted to hide herself.

Ranita's divorce cooling-off period with Brendon was about to end in a month. Could she be trying to escape during this time?

Thinking about this possibility, Shannon harbored intense resentment towards Ranita.

"Brendon, why don't you give Ranita some time? Maybe she just needs to clear her head and will come back?" Shannon suggested.

Brendon felt uneasy. He replied coldly, "Shannon, Ranita wouldn't do something so foolish! Something must have happened, and I need to find her."

"She is still my wife."

"Shannon, go home!" Brendon paused before adding, "Don't you have a concert tomorrow? You should be preparing for that!"

Shannon gritted her teeth but spoke in a sweet voice. "Brendon, I'm more worried about you than anything else! You've been so preoccupied with Ranita that I can't focus on the concert either! Will you come tomorrow and support me?"

"Brendon... please come? Amiya Auntie and Holly will be there too. It would mean everything if you could come and encourage me."

"Let's talk about it tomorrow. Go home now!" Brendon didn't say whether he would attend or not; he just wanted Shannon gone as soon as possible.

"Okay." Shannon left the office feeling resentful.

When she arrived at Boulderland Mansion where Amiya and Holly were waiting for her return, they asked if Brenden was coming back today?

"I'm sorry Auntie; it's my fault that he isn't coming back," said Shannon with tears in her eyes.

Amiya looked displeased while Holly stood up angrily saying, "What's wrong with Brenden? He has been making such a fuss over Ranita these past few days; isn't it too much?"

Amiya glared at Holly before saying sternly, "Don't speak nonsense in front of Shannon."

"Shannon, Holly doesn't think before she speaks. Don't mind her!" Amiya said slowly, continuing, "Shannon, you know that Brendon is a very responsible man. Ranita is still legally his wife after all and his actions are understandable."

"You should be able to understand that," she added.

Shannon was seething with anger inside but spoke softly nonetheless. "Of course I understand Brendon! And I'm also worried about Ranita. She's a young and beautiful woman and if she gets kidnapped by some bad people, who knows what kind of trouble she'll face?"

"It's best to find her as soon as possible," Shannon continued.

Holly widened her eyes at Shannon's words. "What good does it do for you to be so kind-hearted? Ranita won't appreciate it!" Holly thought to herself: It would be better if Ranita never came back! Then we wouldn't have to deal with her anymore!

"All right, let's stop talking about Ranita here," Amiya said calmly while giving Holly a quick glance. "Since Brendon isn't coming back yet, let's start eating first."

In the office, Brendon received the information Caleb had sent him and his expression turned cold.

He immediately called Mia back in again and looked down at her with icy eyes, "Mia, do you really not know where Ranita is?"

"Don't lie to me!" He placed the investigation materials in front of Mia.
