The Billionaire's Regret

Chapter 149

Chapter 149

Morgan Corporation. Ivy intended to speak with Cooper about Marco Seely. She noticed a somewhat familiar woman sitting in the lounge when she walked into the lobby. It was Beatrice. She also noticed Ivy. Beatrice’s face was pale, and slap marks were still visible. She dashed over to Ivy but was stopped by the security guard. “Stop!” Beatrice looked at Ivy with interest. “I’m not going to do anything,” she says. “I’d just like to get Brad’s contact information. I considered it; I should really return the money to him.” Ivy couldn’t stop herself from laughing, which made Beatrice’s face stiffen. “Then give it to me. I’ll forward it to him.” Ivy reached out and cocked her brow. Would Beatrice have rushed to repay Brad if Eric hadn’t changed his bride or if Beatrice’s disguise hadn’t been revealed? Paying Brad was merely a ruse. Beatrice really wanted to rekindle her old love with Brad Cooper, the sole heir of BC Corporation. Beatrice was taken aback. “I’d like to repay him in person.” Ivy took a forward step. “You know my relationship with him, but you still want his contact information from me? Is it because you’re in a hurry?” Beatrice jerked her head up to look at her, irritated by her words. On the other hand, she was afraid to make a move on Ivy. “I’m guessing you don’t have the money. Eric Todd has dumped you, and you’re on your way to your next victim, right?” Ivy was direct, which irritated and frustrated Beatrice even more. “No, that’s not it!” Ivy cocked her brow.

Beatrice clenched her teeth and held her breath. “All I want to do is apologize to him.” Ivy pulled out her phone. “Fine, I’m not going to get involved in your nonsense. Wait a minute.” Beatrice’s eyes glowed. Ivy called Brad. He picked up after a few rings. “What can I do for you, Milady?” Beatrice’s face went numb. She cast a glance at Ivy, trying to hide the disappointment in her eyes. “Hey, Beatrice’s in my office lobby,” Ivy said. “She’s requesting your contact information, claiming that she wants to repay you. Should I hand it over to her?” For more than ten seconds, the other side was deafeningly quiet. She could feel Brad’s chill and disgust when he heard Beatrice’s name. “Just get her to give you the money,” Brad said slowly and icily. “Consider it a cleaning fee for soiled office floors.” Beatrice’s bag landed on the ground with a thud. Her voice was choking with melancholy. “Brad! I know I’ve been wrong in the past... I’m sorry... Please give me a second chance! I’d like to speak with you personally.” Brad’s voice was cold, and he could already tell what Beatrice’s goal was. “Do you think I’m a garbage disposal facility? I don’t pick up garbage!” Beatrice was about to say something else when Brad cut her off. “Ivy, I’m currently busy, so I’ll call you back later.” Brad hung up the phone the next second. Ivy gave Beatrice an uninterested look before putting her phone away. “Did you hear that?” Ivy had run out of patience with this woman. “Could you kindly help me, Ms. Morgan?” Ivy gave her a mocking look and said, “Who the hell are you for me to help you?” Ivy then turned around and walked towards the elevator while instructing the security guards. “She needs to get out of here. Call the cops if she refuses.”

“Yes, ma’am!” Ivy went upstairs to Cooper’ office and told him everything Wyatt had said to her. Cooper remained silent for a full minute before breaking out laughing. “Wyatt Reed is quite self-assured, isn’t he?” “Hmm?” “He’s certain you’ll lose. How could he not tell you?” Ivy looked at her brother in disbelief, wondering if her beloved brother was just standing there watching her make a fool of herself! “Because it’s about my money, I have to win.” Cooper reached into his drawer and pulled out a letter. “I only found out about what you told me right before you returned. Here’s the address: It’s where the butler used to go whenever he came to visit.” Ivy frowned as she noticed it. “Amusement Park?” Ivy asked all of her friends, but no one was interested in assisting her to the amusement park. Windy and Agatha both declined her invitation. As a result, she could only bring Simba with her. She disguised Simba as a cat by dressing it in cute little clothes that made it look like a cute kitty. Simba remained in her tote bag, poking his head out now and then. “Wow! I want to ride the merry-go-round! I’d like to ride the roller coaster as well!” “Relax, you’re a cat!” Ivy stated. Simba was irritated and began picking at her three-million-dollar tote bag. “Meow…” Ivy couldn’t help but laugh as she stroked the creature’s head. “You’re doing great, Simba.” She came here to conduct business. They didn’t have a picture of the butler because they couldn’t find one. She could only guess he’d be a little older. As a result, she had been staring at the older gentleman. However, none of them appeared to be Marco Seely’s butler because they all arrived with children. Ivy strolled through the park. Suddenly, a child wearing a onesie ran over and hugged her leg. “Pretty Lady!”

She was taken aback. He sounded like an eight or nine-year-old boy based on his voice. “Uh… What is your name?” Ivy took a look around. ‘Has anyone lost a child?’ “Hello, pretty lady! It’s me! How come you don’t remember me?” His childish voice sounded dissatisfied. Ivy was at a loss for words. She reached out and smacked the mask across his face. “Small lion?” “Ah!” The boy had a flash of insight and quickly removed his mask and hood. Ivy extended a hand to him and smiled. He was about eight or nine years old and a cute and lovable little charmer. He was no taller than her hips. The young man had blonde hair and sapphire eyes as clear as a lake. He hugged one of Ivy’s legs and smiled. “Pretty lady, I’ve finally tracked you down!” Ivy liked this child at first sight, but she suspected he mistook her for someone else. “Have you been estranged from your family? Do you want me to assist you in finding your family?” The little charmer began shaking his head incessantly. He looked at her, a little irritated. He was unfortunate. “You don’t seem to remember me... My name is Pierce!” He pouted his lips and had two tears in the corners of his eyes. ‘How am I supposed to remember this kid?’ Ivy was afraid he’d cry too much, so she rushed him to the customer service center to assist him in finding his family. The little charmer suppressed his sadness for a brief moment and refused to enter. He just stood there, pity tears welling up in his eyes, as everyone stared at them strangely. “I’ll listen to you. Please don’t leave me.” Everyone who witnessed this had their hearts melt. An older woman approached Ivy to persuade her. “You should not scare your brother in that way.Owned by NôvelDrama.Org.

Bring him home.” Ivy was perplexed. They were standing at the playground’s exit. Ivy’s business was still unfinished. She even picked up a child instead. The little charmer took Ivy’s hand in his and smiled slyly. “How about we go home?” Ivy pressed her lips together. “Whose house?” “Your house! You can raise me, and I’ll marry you when I’m old enough!” Simba became aware of this and poked its head out of her bag. “Huh? When are you going to grow up?” Simba was taken aback by the little boy’s surprise. “It’s a kitty! Can I have a go at it?” Simba shook its head firmly. “No!” The boy reached out and pulled Simba out of Ivy’s bag by the neck despite this. His face was beaming with delight. “What a lovely kitty!” “I’m a tiger!” he exclaimed. Simba grunted defiantly. “No, you’re a talking cat!” Simba was kissed on the cheek by the little charmer. Simba was suffocated in the boy’s arms, with no room for defiance. Ivy couldn’t stop smiling. “How about this...? You can come home with me first, and I’ll find your family after that.” The youngster immediately nodded his head. His heart was bursting at the seams with joy. ‘I’m going to live with my pretty lady for the first time!’
