Killian POV

We got to the hospital quickly, I feel so scared and nervous now for my wife and baby. When we got to the hospital the doctor took care of my wife quickly, I was left here outside the emergency room because I am not allowed to enter.

I almost tweak my hair because of the mixed emotions I feel right now. As long as my wife are in danger I will not be okay. I quickly call Hailey’s parents to let them know what happened because they were here in the Philippines while my parents were in abroad.

“Hello bro? Why did you called?” my friend asked.

I couldn’t answer right away because I didn’t know where I was going to start. I wanted to choke on the extreme frustration I felt.

“Hey Killian what’s going on? Why aren’t you answering?” Vaugh repeated.

“J-just go here now in ****** hospital.” I said

“What? Why are you there? What’s going on? Don’t fool me around Killian or I’ll punch you!”

“Do you think I’m joking? This is not the right time to make a joke Vaugh, especially since Hailey and my baby life is in danger,” I shouted in him.

“Okay, okay. Wait for me there,” he said and dropped the call.

A few times I went back and forth to the outside of the emergency room, I feel like a long time has passed but the doctor still doesn’t come out.

Soon after Vaugh came in a hurry and approached him, he tapped me on the shoulder because I didn’t even notice it coming.

“What happened? Where’s Hailey?” its sequential question.

I told him everything that happened. “When I came out, I saw her lying on the ground and full of blood. I didn’t know what to do so I quickly brought her here but until now the doctor still hasn’t come out so I don’t know how my mother and I are doing.” I explained

“Don’t be discouraged, we know Hailey is strong and she will fight for you and your child. She needs you more now so be brave.” Vaugh said.

I just sat in the empty seat because I suddenly felt tired and weak.

I almost call all the saints just to save my wife and upcoming child, because I can’t stand when something bad happens to both of them. I almost bowed while praying.

A few moments later Hailey’s parents arrived and I was shocked when her father suddenly punched me without any single word. I could see the burning anger in his eyes, Hailey’s mother was forcing him to remove his hold on me.

“Tito, just calm down,” Vaugh said.

“I told you to take care of my daughter and grandchild, but look what happened!” He shouted angrily at me. I can’t blame him though.

Mama Mina shouted because of this. “Drake! Stop it! Stop what you’re doing. Don’t make any scene her, it’s not Killian’s fault that Hailey is hospitalized because we know how he’ll take care of our daughter!” Hailey’s mother shouted angrily.

“If he had taken good care of them, Hailey’s life wouldn’t have been in danger! Is this what I’m saying since day one, that rich people can’t do any good to our daughter.”

I looked up as I wiped my mouth with blood from papa Drake’s punch.

“Papa I am not happy that this happened to my wife and child, I also don’t want this to happen to my, no one wants it.” I defended myself while looking straight at him.

“If something bad happens to my daughter and grandson I won’t forgive you!” Hailey’s father spoke sharply and he just sat in the corner. Vaugh immediately approached him to calm him down.

While mama Mina approached me. “Mama, I’m sorry if I didn’t protect Hailey. I did everything, I didn’t know this would happen to her,” I explained.

“I know, I’ve seen how you take care of my daughter. Just be patient with your papa Drake he was just shocked by his emotions.” She said and I nodded.

They remained in that position while waiting for the doctor to come out. Later Vaugh approached me. “Bro, let’s have coffee first,” He said to me.

“All right, Killian, come with Vaugh first, I’ll just call you when the doctor comes out.” Hailey’s mother seconded.

I could have done nothing but go with Vaugh first even though the truth is I don’t want to leave my wife until I know if they are in good condition or not.

Mama Mina POV

I just gasped as Killian and Vaugh left, I could feel the weight of Killian’s feelings because even I knew he is doing everything for my daughter and he wasn’t lacking anything. My husband was just too emotional to think about it.

Later, we stood up at the same time when the ER opened and the doctor spat.

“Doc, how is my daughter?” my husband asked.

“She is now stable Mr. and the baby is safe too. Just avoid this thing from happening again. She lost too much blood so it almost endangered the lives of both of them, the impact of the collision was also quite strong so we were there of the problem, she may have amnesia. ” doctor’s explanation.

My husband turned to me. “Did you hear it Mina? We almost lost our daughter and grandchild because of her husband’s negligence.”

“Don’t blame all of this things to him! Killian is innocent, he didn’t like what happened to our daughter and grandchild. They’re fine, so stop throwing bad words to your son in law.” I strongly defended Killian.

“This can’t be, I won’t let this happen again, as long as they’re in Killian’s house they won’t be safe.”

My forehead frowned. “What do you mean? What are you planning Drake? You can’t decide for Hailey because our daughter is already married and Killian has a right to decide also.” I said

“No, as long as Hailey isn’t safe it’s better that my we will take them away from her husband first.”

“Doc. I would like to ask for something in your favor. You also know that we have also become friends so I hope you can grant me.” He told the doctor.

“What’s that dude? Come to my office so we can talk about that.” said the doctor walking into his office.

My husband and I followed him, because even though I didn’t know what was running through Drake’s mind, I just hoped it wouldn’t go with our daughter and her husband.
