Chapter 216 Sabrina the Genius
Landon instinctively stepped in front of Sabrina, shielding her as he addressed the leaders.
"Look, Sabrina might be young, but she's a whiz with computers. She wrote a bunch of the programs for our drone attack system. Just check out the demo first!"
Sabrina nodded at Landon, then opened her equipment case. She pulled out a laptop and a small projector, setting up a 3D presentation of the weapon system. With a few taps, she brought the images to life for everyone to see.
"Our weapon system is pretty straightforward just a set of launchers that can hook up to any drone model. Depending on the drone, we can use different energy launchers. My job is to deliver and perfectly integrate the launchers with the drones provided by the other party!"
Sabrina played test videos showing various drones in action, each with different capabilities, leaving everyone in awe.
The police chief's eyes lit up. "This is quick and easy to use, and it can cut down on police casualties. It's a fantastic tool!"
Landon let out a sigh of relief. The demo went well, but the leaders wanted to see live ammo, which made him nervous. During the installation, Sabrina put on safety goggles and expertly attached the equipment to the drone, then started a small-scale test. Landon instinctively moved in front of Sabrina when the weapon fired.
The target was obliterated with pinpoint accuracy. Even in flight, the drone was nearly silent, making it almost undetectable. This was some next-level tech.
"Impressive, really impressive. Landon, you were right to stick with this! This girl is a gem, make sure we keep her!"
The leader whispered to Landon.
Keep her? How? Sabrina's just a kid!
But Landon quickly replied, "I heard Sabrina's already enrolled at Stellar University. If you want to keep talent, it's all about showing some real sincerity, leader!"
A crowd gathered around Sabrina, with the tech staff eager to learn but hesitant to touch the ammo system.
Landon joined them and heard Sabrina sweetly explaining, "This button makes it turn left, this one right, this one goes up and down, and this one rotates in place. The signal works best within 2 miles. For longer distances, you'll need a different drone."
"Sabrina, how old are you? Are you still in school?"
The questions left Sabrina a bit flustered.
Landon frowned and stepped in to rescue her from the crowd.
"Sabrina will give you all a proper training session on the technical stuff. For now, go review the equipment info. Classes start officially tomorrow. Dismissed!"
The group quickly dispersed. Sabrina started packing up the equipment, and Landon helped her. They headed to the cafeteria together.
It was Sabrina's first time in such a large cafeteria, and her eyes were wide with curiosity.
"This place is huge, and there are so many people!"
Seeing her excitement, Landon couldn't help but smile.
"Never seen so many people before?"
Sabrina shook her head. "I've seen a lot of people, but it's my first time seeing so many cops eating together. Landon, am I gonna be eating here from now on?"
Landon handed her a meal card. "Yep, use this to pay for your meals. Eat whatever you want!"
"Really?"
Sabrina was thrilled. It was her first time using a meal card. She curiously went to get food, with Landon trailing behind.
"Mr. Wells, are you bringing your kid to experience life at the police station? Your daughter is really beautiful!"noveldrama
Landon's expression froze. Did he really look that old next to Sabrina, like her dad? Sabrina was stunned for a moment, then laughed. She looked at Landon and whispered, "Landon, you do look a bit old!"

Landon's eyes showed he wanted to strangle Sabrina, but she happily chatted with the cafeteria staff, acting cute and getting a lot of food. Landon could only shake his head and sigh.
Just as they sat down to eat, Sabrina got a call from Allison. "Allison!"
"How are things over there?"
Sabrina smiled. "Great, Allison. Everyone here is super nice, and the food is free!" Allison laughed, and Landon crossed his arms, both amused and exasperated.
"After you eat, reinforce the firewall. Someone skilled has been attacking it recently." Sabrina nodded. Allison asked her to hand the phone to Landon. He took the phone and stepped outside.
"Ms. Bennett, something to say?"
Allison's tone turned serious. "Someone's attacking your firewall. I'm having Sabrina help reinforce it, but you should have your own security protocols. If you want her to handle it, get approval!"
Landon was about to respond when Neal ran over.
"Mr. Wells, we're under attack!"
Landon rushed into the cafeteria, grabbed Sabrina, and started pulling her out. Sabrina
was still confused, holding a fork with a piece of steak on it.
"Our intranet is under attack, time is of the essence!"

Sabrina quickly swallowed the steak, finished the piece on the fork, and followed Landon to the operations room.
Inside the operations room, red alarms were blaring. Landon quickly brought her to the main control station.
Sabrina sat down, put the fork aside, and started typing rapidly.
Soon, a countdown screen appeared, with less than a minute remaining.
"Seven people attacking simultaneously, interesting!"
Seven countdown screens appeared. Sabrina's fingers flew over the keyboard, and code flashed rapidly on the screen. Soon, one of the countdowns stopped.
"One down!"
"Another one down!"
Everyone's eyes were glued to the screen. In thirty seconds, all seven countdowns stopped, and the screen turned blue, giving Sabrina time to work.
"Trying to run? Watch how I deal with you!"
Sabrina's fingers moved quickly. Although Landon didn't understand programming, Neal and the others' shocked expressions indicated Sabrina's impressive skills.
This chase excited Sabrina even more. She neutralized the attacks and planted a virus, keeping the attackers busy for a while.
"Mission accomplished!"
Twenty minutes later, Sabrina finished the counterattack and wrote a new firewall program to strengthen the defenses.
"All done. Can I go eat now?"
What do you think?
