The Almighty Lord Caspian

Chapter 518 Fanning the Flames

Chapter 518 Fanning the Flames

"We're giving you three minutes to clear the path. Otherwise, you'll be charged with the obstruction of

official duties!" Sylvia shouted as soon as she got out of the vehicle.

Every second was critical. They could not afford to lose their valuable time on senseless matters.

If they were to lose out on the golden timing for the battle, they might have to suffer irreparable

consequences.

Caspian was gracious to these people because they were clueless about the exact situation.

Moreover, most of them were ardent youths with good intentions. It just so happened that Richard and

Nicholas had taken advantage of their zeal.

Caspian gave them three minutes because he knew that it would take some time for thousands of

people to leave the place. The amount of time given was ample.

If they were ruffians, Caspian would have already ordered for the armored car to run them over. NôvelDrama.Org content.

"Come out, Caspian! Explain yourself!"

"That's right! If you've got the balls, you'd better come out right now! What are you hiding in there for?"

"I can't believe he's the chief commander. He can't even face us!"

Richard, Nicholas, and the likes were starting to incite the masses again.

All they wanted was for Caspian to be destroyed. They had hated him for a long time and wanted to

take this opportunity to bring him down.

Their goal was to have the people of Diatoran cast him aside so that he would have to resign from his

position as the chief commander.

As the Diatoran God of War and also the head of the Five War Gods, however, Caspian would never let

himself be fooled by the goading of these people.

The reason he remained silent was not because he was afraid.

He was worried that there might be secret agents hiding among the crowd and that they would try to

assassinate him once he got down from the vehicle. When that happened, there would definitely be

more unwanted bloodshed.

He did not want a tragedy like this to happen and had thus chosen to endure.

"Caspian, we heard that the advanced troops of our enemies are already approaching Southlake City.

You sure are doing one hell of a fine job!"

"Are you thinking of surrendering? How ridiculous!"

"Yeah! How did someone like you become the chief commander?"

"Caspian! Get down here if you can!"

The civilians were becoming more and more upset. They had even begun to insult Caspian.

As the people's rude remarks were starting to cross the line, Sylvia took her gun out.

The armored battalion followed suit and drew their weapons as well, taking aim at the civilians.

"You have one minute left. You'd better leave immediately. Otherwise, you'll be labeled as criminals

obstructing military affairs.

"I'll then have reason to suspect that you're the enemies' agents, and I'll kill you without mercy!" Sylvia

roared.

The civilians stumbled two steps backward. They were startled by the sight of the weapons.

Even though Richard and Nicholas were also afraid, they did not want to let this golden opportunity slip.

They believed that Sylvia and the others would never open fire at the civilians.

"Everybody, don't panic! We're all good citizens. They wouldn't dare to open fire at us!" Richard yelled

from among the crowd.

"He's right! It's not like we're breaking the law. They have no right to shoot us!"

"There are so many people present. If they have the audacity to shoot me, Caspian will no longer be

the chief commander!"

When the civilians heard Richard's words, they became worked up again.

When Sylvia saw how cocky Richard and Nicholas were, she wanted to just shoot them.

The current situation was dire, and these people were unaware of how detrimental their actions were.

Judging from the people's behavior, they needed something stronger than a mere warning.

Since Caspian had already given the order to deal with Richard and the likes, killing one of them would

instill fear in the others.

Nevertheless, Sylvia did not act recklessly. After all, Richard was still the son-in-law of the Stewart

family. Even though Caspian and Willow had severed their relationship with the Stewart family, killing

Richard did not seem like a good option.

Besides, Richard was Caspian's brother-in-law.

After giving it a thought, Sylvia decided to target Nicholas since he was not related to the Stewart family

in any way. Moreover, he had also tried to take advantage of Willow before.

It would not be a bad thing for him to disappear from this world.

Besides, he was inciting the citizens to stir trouble. He was deserving of death.

Given their current situation, the people should be united with the army to fight against their enemy.

However, the entire city was in total chaos instead. It was heartbreaking to watch.

As long as this issue was not resolved, they would not be able to leave this place today.

Sylvia looked at the time. There was only less than 20 seconds left. Once the three minutes had

passed, she would get ready to shoot Nicholas.

Nicholas seemed to be oblivious to his impending doom.

"Caspian's a coward! He should not be the chief commander!" he shouted from among the crowd.

"Caspian's a coward! He must leave! He's not worthy of being the chief commander of this battle!" The

crowd began to join Nicholas in his chants.

Nicholas hated Caspian's guts. He had been pursuing Willow, but Caspian's sudden appearance took

his chance away. He would become incensed whenever he was reminded of it.

After learning about Caspian's real identity yesterday, Nicholas realized that he would never have the

chance to get his revenge on Caspian.

However, the people from the Stewart family told him that Caspian was the cowardly chief commander.

This news was like a glimmer of hope for Nicholas.

He wanted to take this opportunity to get his revenge on Caspian.

Nicholas was invited by the Stewart family to join them in stirring up the civilians to go after Caspian.

He did not hesitate at all. After all, Caspian took his woman away. He had to make Caspian pay.

For that reason, he joined Richard in the uproar.

As long as he could have Caspian deposed and turned back into an ordinary citizen, he stood a chance

at getting back at him!

"Who's to say he hasn't colluded with the enemies? I suspect that he's a traitor! We should all punish

him!" Nicholas shouted. He had switched his chant once again.

"Traitor! Traitor! We should all punish him!

"Traitor! Traitor! We should all punish him!

"Traitor! Traitor! We should all punish him!"

The crowd's emotions were becoming more and more agitated. Nicholas had completely led them

astray.

They were not aware of how their behavior was posing a danger to the country.

Sylvia scowled. From the looks of it, the situation might get out of control soon.

It was time to take action. She looked at her watch. Three minutes were up.

Without saying anything, she raised her gun and pointed it at Nicholas' head!
