Given his mysterious birth, I would say his father went through the same ordeal and gave birth to him secretly before resuming his role in the palace again. “As I said, he and his Lycan are getting restless and moody. I guess you should give him as much space as possible and let him come back to you two on his own terms. Till then keep as much patience as you can with him and do not forget to show in every way that you love him and will take care of all his wishes and needs”, she advised.

“I hope he forgives us soon”, I murmured, hope filling my heart on knowing that the pup was just struggling with hormonal changes that were not in his control.

No wonder his father conceived him in the same year as Bella. What the elder Beta couple must have gone through to hide his birth was unimaginable but atleast I got a cute mate out of the whole deal.

“He will eventually. He loves you two too much to stay without you two for long. However, he needs to forgive and forget, and go back to you on his own. Till then just stay patient and do not take anything he says or does to heart. Tell Bella too. She is a sensible child. She will help him in this difficult phase much better than any of us as he loves her the most”, Mom said before getting up.

Kai’s POV

I woke up to vampiric cold lips playing with mine and tongue trying pry open my mouth to go straight for the kill.
