“Dominic will not go easy on you. Atleast a thousand extremely skilled shooters will shoot at you at the same time to test your loyalty using the Sword of Loyalty which you will have to use to strike down all those arrows just like you did right now using your chains”, he rasped while keeping a love filled gaze at me and clasping one of my wrists between his larger, warm hands.

My heart melted at that gesture even if I still didn’t trust him.

“Just so you know, I believe you and really want to make this relationship work out with someone as beautiful and strong as you”, he sincerely said and kissed the back of my hand which was in his.

I felt so shy when he kissed my hand, that my first thought was to retract it back and hide myself- it felt so chaste and sensual at the same time !!

“I trust you, please don’t break it. I have been waiting for a mate since years”, Dylan softly said in my ear while nuzzling his face in my neck. “Call me a fool but I am already in love with you. Please win this test, mate. Promise me you will overcome every challenge for your mate, our future and an eternal love that we can nurture”, he added. “Promise me”, he looked at me with glistening eyes.

I nodded my head meekly in agreement before whispering a “Yes, I promise, mate. I will do my best !”, making my mate’s face light up like a Xmas tree in extreme joy.

“GO AHEAD, DOCTOR. START THE CHALLENGE FOR THE PRISONER !”, Dominic barked.

This bloodsucking monster, ughh.

“IF YOU HARM MY MATE MORE THAN REQUIRED FOR THE CHALLENGE, BELIEVE ME, I WILL FIRST CUT YOUR HANDS AND THEN HANG YOUR CORPSE ON A TREE FOR THE WORLD TO SEE WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU MESS WITH MY MATE”, Dylan growled at the doctor and the underlying, secret message for Dominic to back off did not miss anyone on the ramparts above.

He threw the sword at me and I held back a hiss when my hands hurt as I caught the heavy, sharp weapon.

“GUARDS, SET !”, Ryan ordered and a thousand bows came out.

“DRAW !!”, he commanded and all thousand guards put 3 flaming arrows against the bow string.

I narrowed my eyes when I saw that a fiery rain of atleast 3000 flaming arrows was going to be shot at me but when I saw that I could hide just beneath the parapet and only face half of the warriors at a time, my mate shot a proud smile at me when he realized what I was doing.

The whole ground under the parapet was mine to use afterall.

Now I needed to save myself from 1500 flaming arrows for the time being.
