Sold to the Cold-Hearted King

Some Guards rushed inside the throne room, startling the King from his thoughts.

“Your Highness,”They greeted with a sad and panicked face.

“What’s this rubbish?”He growled, getting on his feet.

“Your Highness, Mrs Claire has escaped with a Royal maid” The guard uttered, with his head bowed.

“You mean?”King Justin growled, with widened eyes.

“I mean, she wanted to escape but she was caught,”the guards explained.

“Where is she?”King Justin asked.

“She’s taken back to the dungeon”The guard uttered.

“You go back, tell Bonanza to get the securities at the dungeon gate and replace the new one’s there,”King Justin instructed.

“As you wish Your Highness”The guard replied and left.

“Why will Claire want to escape all of the sudden?”King Justin thought, resting his back on his throne.

King Nathaniel kept following the directions that lead to Tessa Chambers.

Tessa didn’t know she had been smiling softly at him the whole time he was carrying her. After what happened to her, he still wants to marry her, like who does that.

The unlocking sound of the door distracted her thoughts. He wowed her room for some seconds before walking close to her queen size bed. He dropped her off gently, adjusting her pillows very well. He moved his hand and touched her jaw, smoothing it gently to her cheeks.

“You still look beautiful”He complimented.

“You still look handsome as ever.”She complimented him, having that breathtaking smile of hers on the corner of her lips.

“I can see you love blue,”King Nathaniel uttered, looking around her room.

“Aggh”Tessa let out a painful grunt, touching her stomach with her eyes closed.

King Nathaniel panicked, using his right hand to rub the particular place she touched.

“Are you feeling any pain?”King Nathaniel asked, with a worried face. Trying to locate where the pain is coming from.

“My tummy hurts, ” Nathaniel ”Tessa cried, holding his arm.

“It hurts from inside, it feels like, like, like it’s burning”Tessa cried, turning her head to the right and left side in a fast motion.

“Guards!!”King Nathaniel growled loudly. In a blink of an eye, ten of his men rushed in.

“Go and get the physician, Go and get physician Rana”King Nathaniel screamed, carrying Tessa in a bridal style.

Tessa’s eyeballs went back to how it happened when she was poisoned, her eyelids were hidden leaving only the white eyeballs. But this time around, blood was gushing out of her mouth.

Her skin was turning white already, her sight weakened King Nathaniel in the heart as a drop of tears streamed down his cheeks.

“Whosoever that did this will have to drink the same poison she made Tessa drink.”King Nathaniel thought, increasing his pace.

Immediately he got to Rana’s Quarters, he burst in startling the young physician.

“Get her back on her feet”King Nathaniel growled at the young physician.

“As you wish my Lord.”She replied, dropping the cup Tessa used to drink tea earlier before the incident.

King Nathaniel crouched, taking Tessa cold hands into his, as a drop of tears streamed down his cheeks.

“For my love for you Tessa, don’t die on me, I can’t breathe without you”King Nathaniel cried, resting his forehead on the back of her hand.

“My Lord, I need some privacy”Physician Rana uttered with a shaking mind.

“Okay”He replied coldly, giving Tessa a peck on the cheek, he dropped her hand gently on the bed and walked out giving Tessa a last glance.

Honour and Fiona took the secret stairs that lead to Tessa’s chamber. The secret stairs were made for any form of emergency. They opened the back door, peeping their head in a little.

“There’s no one here, honour”Fiona reported, opening the door widely for her to take a look.

“But, King Nathaniel carried her in a bridal style, bringing her down to her Chamber.”Honour explained.

“Then where could they have gone to”Fiona thought, bringing her head down. When she noticed a drop of blood.

“Blood”Fiona murmurs, rushing to her closet. Thinking she might be in her closet, she rushed out and went to her bathroom, same result. She held and walked to a plain wall, it might look plain but there’s something behind it.

She rushed to pick up a nearby stool and climbed it for her hand to reach a clock. She sighed deeply and rotated the clock three times, the cracking of the wall could be heard. Fiona didn’t waste any time in getting down. She rushed inside Tessa’s extensive and gigantic library, thinking she would be there.

She called out her name but got no response, Meanwhile Honour was Tracing the drop of each blood and noticed it leads outside Tessa Chambers. She raised her head up to call out Fiona’s name but holt when she saw Tessa’s gigantic library.

“Oh heavens, this another Paradise in it’s own.”Honour murmurs, forgetting the reason why she turned back.

She snapped back to reality and gasped at her stupidness,

“Fiona, you gotta get out of there, the traces of the blood didn’t lead to the library but outside princess Tessa Chambers.”Honour screamed.

Fiona rushed out of the library, after hearing honour’s information. She did the needful and locked the library back to its normal position.

“You said you saw the traces of blood that lead outside princess Tessa Chambers.”Fiona asked, sweating incessantly.

“Yes Tessa, I think something is wrong with our princess again”Honour cried, rushing to the door.

“Oh! heavens”Fiona exclaimed, running outside. But they cease all of the sudden.

“Why is everyone running “Fiona asked Honour. Who is still in shock of how the castle is disorganized.

“Let’s join the run,”Honour suggested.

“We don’t know why they are running and you are suggesting we should join the run”Fiona muttered.

“Hey, come over here.”Honour called a maid who was in tears already.

“Why the run, what’s happening, the castle looked disorganized.” Honour asked.

“Didn’t you hear the news going around the castle, and you called yourself princess Tessa right and left armor.”The maid uttered with a broken voice as tears streamed down her cheeks.

“Hey!!! We don’t need stories from you, the question you were asked is what’s going on”Fiona interrupted.

“Princess Tessa is gone, There’s no more shield for us , Princess Tessa is Dead.” The maid cried, falling on her knees.

“You are joking right”Fiona laughed, but ended up in tears.

“I can’t believe it “Fiona murmurs, running down to the physician quarters like a crazy fellow.

She got to the entrance of the quarters and had shookest reaction when she got to the physician quarters
