Sold to Mr. Arrogant

Our meeting

I was thinking in my room about what Shawn has said, he seemed to be serious about this marriage

and love thing. By saying that I am thinking, it means that I am actually not refusing this idea. My mind

keeps changing and my mood is one of the factors that are making me feel uneasy.

I decided to clear my mind with someone whom I trust would never spread my secret to anyone. I

called no one other than Tony.

" Are you busy today?" I asked as soon as he picked up.

" I can always find time for my old client," he replied.

" Great, meet me at our old spot."

I wore high waist jeans and a black tight top. I rolled my hair up in a bun and asked my driver to take

me to our meeting location. I lied to Gerald telling him that I am meeting my friends. He did not suspect

anything as I took my leave. I missed this neighborhood we are driving in, to be honest, it may be dirty

and damp but it will always hold a part in my heart.

I took my first paycheck here, met my first friend Diana, and heard the news of being admitted into

college at this same spot. This spot is my underground fighting club, the only place I felt alive and the

only sport that I found myself in.

It all started with me wanting to learn how to defend myself, then it turned into my job, and lastly, it has

become a sport that I admire a lot because of my passionate coach.

I stopped in front of the gate’s guard who asked for the club's entry password.

" Z-e-x" I spelled.

He opened the door welcoming me in, I walked downstairs passing by many men and tough-looking

girls who were chatting together. A fight was taking place in the ring already and everyone was busy

cheering for our number one fighter who is known as The Beast, Mr. John.

He was also my coach and the only one whom I could not defeat no matter what. He is a genius when

it comes to fighting and he overpowered me in many aspects. I decided to watch the match that I knew

would end very soon, it was my coach fighting after all. My speculations were soon proved facts in a

matter of seconds.

" Congratulations... Great fight." I shouted, my voice obviously attracted his attention.

" Look who is here. Our small vicious little girl. How are you, Lily?" He began as he passed me a glass

of champagne.

" I am fine, what about you? Still getting excited over defeating your pupils?" I asked knowing that the

person he was facing was a subordinate of his.

" I like to prove that saying wrong, teachers should not get defeated by their own pupils," John

explained.

" It happens, just if the teacher was not you." I pointed out shrugging my shoulders.

" I thought you were meeting with me today?" Tony said appearing from behind my back.

" Hello, John." He added.

“ I did not expect to meet John here, I am glad we get to meet like that,” I replied.

" Hey, Tony... It has been a while since I saw you in the ring. Seems Lily is keeping you busy." John

responded.

" I had to speak with him about something that bothers me, I don't always make him work, ya know." I

retorted pouting.

" I see... You won't mind if I joined you?" John asked.

" No, of course, John. Your opinion would be pretty much appreciated."

" Nosy old geezer." Tony spat out jokingly.

We laughed as we followed John to a much quieter spot to sit in. Everyone was betting on the next

match anyway so we used that chance and found a corner where noises would not reach it.

"Okay, say it, sweetie. What is making you this uneasy?" John asked.

and he signed a contract with me that states; I would be free from his grip if I managed to straight up

his son. I was working on it when suddenly his son claims to love me and informed me that he would

trick his dad into setting me free on the condition that I date him." I told them, I watched as several

interrogation marks were drawn all over their foreheads.

" Ha-ha... Are you telling us a movie's story, Lily? It is so unbelievable." Tony laughed as it was hard to

believe what I just uttered, Tony knew I never lie though.

" I forgot to mention that Shawn claims that his dad wants to marry us off instead of letting him marry

the prime minister daughter, he bought me with two million and is willing to give me twenty thousand

dollars when I finish my mission," I added.

" Apparently, they are plotting something," John stated calmly sipping his glass of wine.

" Yeah, and what could that be?" Tony questioned.

" I think so too but I can't think of a single reason that would push someone to go to such length, he

paid two million just to have me which is just far-fetched," I repeated stressing on the money part.

" It may be a reason that you don't know of then, if you can't find the solution to something, it just

means that you shall look elsewhere." John continued.

" John might be right, think about a way in which you would somehow benefit them," Tony suggested.

A way in which I would benefit them? That is a bit tricky. What could they actually get from having me in

their family? I was absorbed in my thoughts when I felt Tony and John's eyes directed behind me. I

turned around and saw the last man I wanted to meet now. Shawn was standing still with his hands in

his pockets, tilting his head to the left staring at me from behind.

" What are you doing here?" I asked as I stood up from my seat. He must have followed me here but

why?

" I should ask you the same, is that your coach?" he said pointing out at John disrespectfully.

I walked up to him and slid his finger away staring into his eyes.

" Let's go," I ordered.

" Oh, and that must be the thug who does all dirty stuff for small change." he continued acting

arrogantly more than ever. I tried to drag him away before he spews any more shit but it was already

late, John left his seat heading towards Shawn who kept his hands in his pockets.

I can not predict how would this conversation end up but I know for sure that the ending would not be

satisfactory.
