Secrets Of The Neglected Wife

Chapter 810

Chapter 810:

“Sir, you—”

“Cut the crap! I shelled out good money for this night. You can’t boot me out without my drink! Let me back in for another round!”

The guards, who were only tasked with conducting searches, scowled in frustration, unsure of how to handle the situation. The guests at this event were high rollers—far too important to upset. For all they knew, this madman could be someone influential.

“Sir, please take it easy,” one guard said, attempting to calm Colton. “We’ll head inside and fetch you a bottle of wine.”noveldrama

“I want to pick it myself!”

“Fine.”

Meanwhile, from a distance, Allison observed how Colton had successfully diverted nearly everyone’s attention. Seizing the opportunity, she made her way toward the main entrance.

A security guard stepped forward to stop her. “Miss, when did you get here?”

But just as he began his inquiry, Allison subtly released the sedative powder she had hidden in her hand. The guard immediately felt its effects, stumbling and struggling to stay conscious.

Now was her moment.

Escape!

She knew the sedative was only a temporary fix.

Without hesitating, Allison slipped out of the club. Nearby, Colton saw her successful exit and let out a relieved sigh before diving back into his role.

“Are you done yet? I’m just here for the wine!” His antics were a ploy to buy Allison those crucial extra minutes.

In truth, he had many questions about the events of the night, but he knew this wasn’t the right time to address them. Minutes later, Allison made her way out of the venue, running almost non-stop.

She soon spotted the lab’s car under a nearby streetlamp. Just as she moved toward it, Colton’s voice cut through the night. “Wait…”

He appeared somewhat roughed up, as if he’d tangled with someone. It was clear the security staff had not taken kindly to his antics, treating him as though he were unhinged. Fortunately, he’d managed to escape and catch up with Allison.

“Allison, I need to tell you something,” Colton said, catching his breath as he stopped in front of her. “Can you give me a moment to apologize?”

Allison gave him a nod, her expression softening slightly. “Thanks for what you did back there, Colton. As for an apology, I don’t need one. Let’s just leave the past in the past and call it even.”
