Secrets Of The Neglected Wife

Chapter 809

Chapter 809:

The only escape route was through the main entrance. Though it promised a tight security blanket, it still seemed her best bet for a clean break.

As Allison descended the stairs, her phone lit up. It was a number from Vrining she didn’t recognize. Maybe it was one of Verruckt’s guys?

Before she could respond, a familiar voice surged through the speaker.

“Allison, it’s me,” Colton said, his words tumbling out in haste. “Don’t hang up. I need to tell you something crucial.”

Apprehensive that she might hang up immediately, Colton plunged ahead without pausing for breath. “Look, I’ve pieced together everything from five years ago, Allison. I’m truly sorry.”

He drew in a deep, sorrowful breath. “Had I known sooner—”noveldrama

Allison cut him off, no hesitation in her voice. “Mr. Colton, save your sob story. I’m not buying it.”

She nearly ended the call, but a sudden thought stopped her. With a skeptical squint, she challenged him. “If you really are sorry, why not show some actual sincerity?”

Colton, caught off guard yet hopeful, realized this might be his chance to mend the rift. “Tell me what to do. I’ll make things right.”

“I’m currently at the White Stallion Club, an infamous spot known for its tight security. It’s mayhem here.”

“I’m here too!” His face lit up. He didn’t even realize that her presence here was strange. “I can help you escape.”

Relieved by his prompt response, Allison gave him clear instructions. “Head to the main entrance on the first floor.”

“Got it.” Colton moved toward the entrance, eyeing the situation. His brow furrowed in concern. “There’s a crowd watching. Sneaking out this way looks tough.” The place was crawling with security.

“I can only use the main entrance; the other exits are swamped,” Allison explained. She paused, thinking. “Can you distract the guards at the main entrance? Maybe smash something or fake a drunken scene. Just divert their attention for a minute.”

Colton hesitated, then set his jaw firmly. “Alright, I’ll do it.”

He was determined to prove to Allison that she would never be ignored by him again.

After ending her call, Allison hurried out of the fire escape. As she descended past the fifth floor, she heard footsteps approaching from the corridor. Ignoring them, she pressed on, racing down to the ground floor.

Outside, she found Colton causing quite a scene at the entrance.

“Let me in!” he bellowed, feigning the tone of a rowdy drunk. “Call your boss out here! You’ve got no right to throw me out!”
