Chapter 778
Chapter 778:
Most of the onlookers seemed content to watch the drama unfold, unwilling to intervene. Hardly anyone was foolish enough to get involved, given Fiona’s status.
Fiona’s eyes narrowed as she examined Allison. “Did you beg for that dress too? It’s like wrapping garbage in a bow. You look ridiculous.”
Her jealousy boiled over as she pictured this lowly woman beside Verruckt. “You don’t deserve any of this. Do you understand?”
Fiona was certain that someone as lowly as Allison, an orphan, wouldn’t dare to stand up to her.
But to her surprise, Allison didn’t flinch. Instead, she smiled.noveldrama
“If I’m trash, then Miss Smith, you must be the rotten leftovers,” Allison remarked coldly, looking down at Fiona with disdain. “You really need to clean up that filthy mouth of yours.”
Fiona, realizing that she was half a head shorter than Allison, felt her face drain of color as rage surged through her.
“Who are you calling rotten leftovers?!” she screamed, her voice thick with fury. She had never been insulted in such a way before. “Fine, you’ve really gone too far now. I should start thinking about how to throw you in a dumpster and make you kneel there!” Fiona seethed.
Her words were laced with venom, and the surrounding crowd began to mock Allison in unison.

“Yes, Miss Stuart, you better kneel down!”
“It would be hilarious if she actually ended up kneeling in the dumpster, like a real beggar.”
“You still have time to apologize to Miss Smith, though the punishment is inevitable.”
Despite their cruel taunts, Allison remained calm, her confidence unwavering.
She glanced over the crowd, calculating the timing, and noticed a silver-haired figure moving toward them. Verruckt was approaching, drawn by the growing tension.
Discreetly, Allison pinched her thigh, her eyes reddening as she quickly adopted a pitiful expression.
“I can kneel,” she said softly, her voice slightly trembling and rising. “But this has nothing to do with Mr. Shaw. Please, don’t blame him for any of this.”
With those words, she placed her wine glass on a nearby table, her movements measured. She then bent her knees slightly, as if she were truly about to kneel.
When Fiona saw the scene, she couldn’t stop laughing.
“Go ahead, beg me desperately!” she taunted.
