Chapter 1596
Sabrina marveled at Jennie’s perceptiveness. She ruffled Jennie’s hair affectionately. “I’m pregnant.”
“Pregnant?”
“Yes, with a little baby,” Sabrina confirmed, guiding Jennie’s hand to her belly. Published by Nôv'elD/rama.Org.
Furrowed her brow, Jennie questioned, “But why can’t I feel it?”
“He’s still tiny. He’ll grow bigger over time.”
Jennie nodded, her attention focused on Sabrina’s belly, quietly curious.
The car fell into a sudden silence.
“Jennie, what’s the matter?” Concern evident on Jennie’s face, Sabrina probed gently as Jennie remained silent, appearing somewhat glum.
Jennie bit her lip, casting a pitiful glance at Sabrina. Carefully, she ventured, “Sabrina, will you and Tyrone send me to my grandma’s when the baby comes?”
Despite her grandma’s kindness, Jennie felt a stronger bond with Sabrina and Tyrone. She dreaded being separated from them.
A student named Sunny had left school. Rumor had it that Sunny’s parents, unable to conceive previously, had adopted him. After his mother got pregnant, Sunny was sent to live with his grandparents in the countryside.
Jennie’s question touched Sabrina deeply. Sabrina could still recall how she felt when being labeled as illegitimate. The fear of being abandoned by her father or grandparents haunted her dreams. She
understood Jennie’s emotions at this moment. She would never abandon such an adorable and intelligent child like Jennie.
“Don’t worry. I’ve never entertained the thought of sending you away.
By the time my baby arrives, you’ll be six. You’ll have so much fun playing with the baby. I’m sure the baby will adore you.”
Sabrina’s reassurance was tender. Jennie longed to remain by her side always.
A smile graced Jennie’s lips as she nestled into Sabrina’s arms and promised, “I’ll take good care of the baby.”
Returning the smile, Sabrina gently corrected, “Jennie, you’re still a child. You don’t need to take care of the baby. Just enjoy playing with him.”
“Okay!” Jennie nodded enthusiastically.
Upon arriving home, Sabrina led Jennie by the hand as they exited the car.
“Welcome back, Ma’am.” Karen greeted before returning to her kitchen duties.
With the medicine and examination report in hand, Sabrina deliberated whether to inform Tyrone immediately or surprise him.
“Is Tyrone upstairs?”

“Mr. Blakely hasn’t returned.” Karen’s voice echoed from the kitchen.
“He hasn’t returned?” Sabrina was taken aback.
