Richest Mogul

Chapter 1644

"No. Skylar, your nightmare is about to begin."

Raven squinted at the lock screen displaying Skylar's face.

...

Skylar arrived at the restaurant as agreed and walked directly to where Raven was seated.

Hearing the sound of approaching footsteps, Raven lifted her gaze to meet Skylar's.

Skylar's expression remained indifferent as their eyes met, revealing little emotion.

On the other hand, Raven seemed to harbor a storm of emotions in her eyes. Although her face bore a faint smile, the coldness in her gaze was impossible to hide. "Hello," Skylar greeted first.

Raven responded immediately, "I didn't think you'd actually come to see me."

Skylar sat down, her gaze falling calmly on Raven. It was clear from their brief exchange that Raven's intentions were far from friendly.

"You carry many negative items on you. When you created these objects, did anyone ever warn you about the backlash they might bring upon you?" Skylar remarked, her tone steady.

Her sharp gaze fixed on Raven's brow, where a faint dark shadow seemed to linger.

Those who use cursed objects to harm others should always be prepared to suffer the consequences themselves.

Raven smirked, unfazed. "Backlash? What backlash? I think it's you who should be worried. I know a lot about you, Skylar. You were reborn, changed your fate, and altered so many others' lives in the process. How does that feel? Wonderful, I bet?" It must have felt wonderful.

Skylar had gone from being a failure in her past life to rewriting her destiny and trampling over others to rise to the top-it was hard to imagine Skylar not relishing it.

She probably smiled in her sleep, savoring her success and newfound life.

Raven envied Skylar deeply.

But Skylar's expression didn't change at all, and that surprised Raven.

She didn't expect Skylar to remain so calm and composed, even after being confronted about her being reborn. However, on second thought, it made sense.

A woman without courage wouldn't have made it this far-certainly couldn't become Joe's wife. These days, most women in Jipsburg were envious of Skylar's life.

"Seven

years ago, you first started

dabbling with negative items. Initially, it was just to attract wealth. But over time, you learned how to create negative items that could make people believe they'd been reborn. That's also how you gained memories that weren't originally yours," Skylar said, her tone even.

She was scrutinizing Raven's wrist, where a sandalwood bead bracelet rested.

Raven noticed Skylar's gaze, and upon hearing her words, her expression stiffened.

But she quickly composed herself, fingers brushing over the bracelet as she steadied her breathing. Even so, she couldn't suppress her shock.

How could Skylar have guessed so accurately?

Even the most skilled private investigators could not uncover these secrets. They would, at most, uncover surface-level details known to the people around her. "Who gave you that bracelet back then?" Skylar's tone suddenly sharpened, and her gaze turned piercingly cold as it locked onto Raven.

The intensity of Skylar's aura sent a jolt of fear through Raven's chest.

Taking a deep breath, Raven composed herself again. Years of being married to Joe had clearly left their mark on Skylar. She now had some of his domineering presence.

Skylar studied the bracelet for a few seconds longer before withdrawing her gaze and smiling.

Raven frowned. "What are you smiling about?"
