Reclaiming My Broken Luna

Chapter 158: Promises

Giselle's POV

An evil smile played on my lips as I gloated at my victory. Killian's words are exactly what I wanted to hear.

Right now, he has completely lost his trust in Astrid. There's no way he could ever doubt me again in the future.

All I had to do was to bring up our child, and he would be reminded of this day of how he had doubted me and harmed his child.

I suppressed an evil laugh that threatened to escape my lips. I finally have Killian wrapped around my fingers again.

He has completely been bought by me. I have expected this to happen. I know that making him believe that the child is ours would make him realize that he had made mistakes.Content © NôvelDrama.Org.

It will also make him lose any little bit of trust or even love that he has for Astrid.

Now that we are bound by a child, I could finally be the Luna of the Silvermoon Pack, the position that I had worked hard to have.

All I needed was a little nudge, and with the support of Killian's mother, there was no way Killian could ever deprive me of that position.

"Killian, do you know believe me?" I asked him in a soft voice even though I already knew the answer.

"Of course," Killian replied without any doubt. "I was so wrong for not believing you."

I forced tears out of my eyes to see how glad and relieved I was with his answer. "Killian, I want you to promise me one thing," I reached for his hands again, squeezing it slightly, showing how desperate I am to have this promise. Killian looked at me with a skeptical gaze. It's like he is suspecting me of trapping him to do something he doesn't want.

Before he could give it much thought, I instantly brought out his recent words, knowing that it would do the trick.

"Killian, you said you would make it up to me, that you will try your best to be a good father to our child. There's nothing more I ask other than that, Killian, but I'm still afraid," I spoke with my lips quivering.

"I just want you to promise me one thing, Killian, just to ease my fears," I begged him.

Killian swallowed hard. I could see the conflict in his eyes. "Tell me," Killian finally gave in.

I bit my lower lip to show him how anxious and afraid I was. "Promise me that you would forget Astrid, that you will never go back to her. Don't just make this promise for me, make this as a promise for our child also," I answered while looking directly into his eyes.

Killian was taken aback by my words, not expecting that I would ask him something like this.

"Just promise us, Killian, that you will never talk to her. I would already be glad if you would just ignore her in the future." I added, leaving him no room to refuse me.

Killian was momentarily speechless. When I saw the look in his eyes, I knew he wouldn't agree to make the promise that I wanted from him.

However, as I was about to lose hope, something flickered in his eyes as if he had remembered something.

His eyes suddenly hardened, and with a firm voice, he replied, "I promise... I promise you and our son that I will try my best to forget Astrid. I will cut off all of my connections with her."

Hearing his words, I threw my arms around him and hugged him tight. "Thank you, Killian. Thank you," I whispered directly to his ears.

Killian slowly raised his hands and comfortingly caressed my back. "I will marry you, Giselle—"

"Really?!" I suddenly gasped and separated from the hug. My eyes widened a bit when I wasn't able to hold myself back, "But," I suddenly added before I could come out as too eager to become a Luna."

"Are you sure?" I asked him with a concerned look on his face. "You had always pushed off the idea of marriage. I know mother is forcing you to do this, but you don't have to."

Killian only shook his head at my words. "No, I have to, Giselle. My mother is right. I only realized how right she was when I finally accepted that I was already a father. I could no longer make decisions for myself. I also need to think of my son also. I have realized a lot of things when I became a father. The first thing that I could do for my child is to marry you."

"Killian... are you sure about this?" I asked, searching his face for any hint of doubt.

He gazed back at me, his eyes filled with steely resolve. "I'm sure," he said, nodding firmly.

I fought the smile that threatened to stretch my lips. At last, this is all I have wanted. My dreams are coming true.

Killian reached out, taking my hands

in his. "Giselle, I will marry you," he said, his voice low and earnest. "I will try to be a good husband to you. will try to forget Astrid and learn to love you as my life, but I want you to know that it will take time"

I eagerly nodded my head; he didn't have to finish his words. "I trust you, Killian and I am willing to wait for a lifetime, until you learn to love me will take everything. I have chosen this path when I became pregnant with our son. I will bear everything you throw at me."
