“It’s too late.” They heard, as the doors flung open.

They both turned immediately to look at the scary face of Mr. Anderson.

“Father…what are you doing here?”

” I should ask you since this is my company and I can come here anytime.” Cathy was taken aback with so much surprise, safe had never known that Me. Anderson was the owner of the company.

” I don’t understand father. What did you mean by your company?” She asked.

“Stop throwing irrelevant things at me. I know Nelly is the one responsible for bringing you here.”

“Father please don’t drag Nelly into this, she isn’t responsible.” Cathy said, defending her cousin.

” I expected this already. I know you will support a stranger over the one who saved you during the accident.”

He was trying to blackmail her emotionally but Cathy wasn’t going to fall for it especially when she knew he was hiding the truth from her.

” Father, please don’t start this drama.”

“So it’s now a drama too, Cathy? You have changed so much Cathy. I could swear you were never like this.”

“Father, you made me change.” She fired back with the same anger he used on her.

“What did you say? You now talk back to me. Cathy you know I love you more than my own son Axl but you choose to betray me.”

With these words he left, Cathy who had behaved like she was stone hearted and didn’t care about him broke down in tears.

” Was I harsh on Nelly? Did I do something wrong? You know he had supported me each time after my parents death.”

” Don’t feel hard about that. Things like this happen, you can’t blame yourself for everything.”

” Come, my private investigator is outside. We will talk to Alexia then you will feel better before going home.” She advised

Cathy gave a nod and left leaving Nelly to lock the door.

They left the company without talking to the manager or informing him they were leaving, Cathy could swear that it was the manager who had called Mr. Anderson to inform him about what she was doing.

Seeing the Manager would make her want to strangle him for telling on her,

” Where did he say he was ?” Cathy asked

“He’s around here somewhere.” She said as she looked around, she found him and called out to him before motioning Cathy to enter the car.

They all entered the car, including the private investigator.

” Good afternoon ma’am.” He greeted me politely.

” The task I gave you…what’s the report?”

” The lady Alexia Bachman wasn’t found I’m our records, and she had only appeared twice. That’s in Chester’s mansion and the bar where you found her.”

” So she doesn’t live in this city?”

“Maybe…no apartment or car is in her name. I checked through the birth records and I couldn’t find the person which matched the description you gave me.”

“This is strange because I had personally seen her and talked to her. We both had a conversation. Why do I feel like you’re cooking up stories?” Cathy had asked, before now she was happy that the mysteries were becoming clear but now, everything had gone back.

” I know it’s hard to believe ma’am but kind you. I’m an investigator and I Know how to do my job properly.”

” So you want me to believe that Alexia is claiming to get someone else’s ?” Cathy asked.

” Maybe she’s just wearing a mask.” Nelly added in mockery.

” Exactly.'”he answered and to their surprise he kept a straight face, meaning that he was telling the truth.

“You’re unbelievable.”

“Let’s make ourselves clear ma’am

Arrange a meeting with her, I can follow her thereafter.”

*How about Cindy?”

“She’s still alive. Although I can’t give you more information because she’s not a public figure. Just a prostitute at a nightclub.”

“Prostitute?” The ladies shouted in unison.

They were both shocked.

” Yes she is but not in this city. I will find more details about her and inform you.”

“Thank you so much. I will text you once we have gotten the address for Alexia.” nelly said as she brought out an envelope which contained money and gave it to him.

He took it, thanked them and left. Leaving the both ladies inside the car.

“Now what can we do with so much information?”

” All I want to do is talk to Demetrio. We would go straight to his house first of all. I really want to know who this Alexia Bachman is.”

Nelly agreed with her and put on her seatbelt like Cathy. Cathy, who was on the sterling, started the car.
