Her heart beat increased as he drew closer making her pant heavily as she struggled not to faint.

She protested muttering some things, which wasn’t understood since her lips were sealed.

He ordered for the glue paper to be removed immediately.

‘You monster!’ she yelled

He laughed devilishly as he offered to feed her some candy which she spat immediately.

‘ Cindy is the best bait, her sister could be another better action but she’s smart like you.’

‘ Why hide Cindy from her sister?’ she asked, remembering he knew all the information concerning her .

‘ That would be a good idea, Cindy should be grateful for keeping her away from her sister.’

She was about to ask a question when a huge with overgrown beard entered. He had the same scorpion tattoo on his right arm. He came close as he whispered something in his ears.

He took it with a frown as he waved his hands for him to leave. He left.

The room was silent, as Rhea waited.

‘ Cindy has already broken her sister’s trust. She’s trying to sell the family company by seducing Mr. Axl.’ he explained after a long while.

‘ It was all your idea…’ she stopped, asking what he meant by selling the family’s company.

‘ Cindy is Axl’s sister-in-law?’ she asked as her eardrums made electrifying sounds.

‘ You don’t know, Dementrio didn’t tell you?’ he asked, pretending to be shocked.

‘ You’re lying right?’ she asked with tears welling up.

‘ Don’t cry sister-in-law, Dementrio knew all these from the first day he met you at the salon.’

She was startled, how did he know about their first Meetup? But that wasn’t necessary.

She felt bad and angry, how could Dementrio use her?

Why did Dementrio hide all these from her? No wonder he was getting close to Cindy at the coffee shop. He wanted wealth and would do anything to get it .

The ride to the teashop wasn’t a joyful ride at all. Both Dementrio and Cindy were occupied with different thoughts.

Dementrio thought of Rhea, as he thought of the lies Damien might be telling her.

Would she ever forgive him after hiding the truth, he thought.

He felt really bad for keeping things and for trying to make her jealous.

Cindy wasn’t left alone as her thoughts kept her busy . She was grateful for Demetrio offering to drive, maybe, she would have caused an accident.

Her mind was occupied with the fear of losing her only sister, she was supposed to get excited but she was really scared.

As they got closer her heart beat increased as she felt she was going to faint soon.

‘ You will be fine, keep calm. Your sister is very smart .’ he assured.

She smiled at him before stepping out of the car .

‘ That’s your sister’s car.’ he said pointing to a flashy red Lamborghini .

‘ I won’t deny , she has taste.’

‘ What do you expect! She’s the daughter of Mr. Chester.’

As soon as he got into the teashop, he looked around trying to catch a glimpse of her.

He saw her wave at him, she sat just close to the window at the end.

He gestured Cindy to follow, which she did obediently. She couldn’t really see the face of the lady that waved .

‘ You change each time I see you ‘ He said as he got close.

There were two ladies, both wore the same sequin dress but different colors.

She couldn’t tell which was her sister.

Maybe the one with the sunshades, she thought.

‘ Stop it Dementrio, I am still the same.’. She removed her shades only to give Cindy the most shocking revelation of her life.

She was there, her long lost sister. She looked exactly like her. If she wasn’t on her mask, she would have recognized her as her sister.

Dementrio held her fingers, reminding her to stay calm

She breathed as she tried to hide her shock and act normal .

‘ I never knew you had friends.’ he said, taking a seat opposite her with Cindy following suit.

‘ No…this isn’t my friend, she’s my cousin ‘

‘ cousin?’ They were both shocked.

So she had a cousin, she thought as she observed her. They didn’t have any similar features

‘ I never knew you had a cousin.’

‘ It’s quite surprising too, I went in search of my sister and found her instead.’

She swallowed as she heard her reply, so she was also looking for her?

‘ What about you? You have a new friend. Is she the one?’ she asked, winking at him .

He stared at her confused before he realized what she was talking about.

‘ No, she’s just a friend . How is your husband?’ he asked, quickly changing the subject.

‘ I should be asking you that, remember he’s your best friend.’

Dementrio’s phone rang as he went out to answer.

‘ Any information?’ he asked.

‘ Yes, Your brother called. He said you can come for her now .’

His face lit up leaving him excited.

‘ Am at the seventh street, come right now.’

The call went dead as he rushed into the teashop.

‘ Cathy, I got an urgent call. I really need to go now.’

‘ No problem, are you leaving with Alexia.’

He looked at her as she begged him to allow her stay, he nodded as he left immediately.

‘ How long have you known Demetrio?’ Cathy asked.

‘ Just few days, his going out with my best friend.’ she answered, trying to sound normal.

‘ so your friend stole our Demetrio and changed him ‘

‘ You know him very well?’

‘ Yes, we were childhood friends and his my husband’s best friend ‘

‘ So your sister is missing?’

‘ Yes, I was told she died in a fire accident but recently I discovered it was all a plan ‘ she looked really sad .

‘ ooh, so what if you find her?’

‘ That’s not a question, I love my sister and am serious about finding her.’

She sounded honest but she knew it wasn’t true. Yes, she was excited but she would never forgive her for having an affair with her husband.

‘ What’s the name of your friend again?’ Cathy asked, making her feel she was suspicious.

‘ Alexia Bachman.’

‘ Alright nice meeting you Alexia, Am Cathy Chester and this is my cousin Nelly.’

‘ Am most honored,’ she replied with a grin trying to hide her tears.

‘ We could see some other time, I have to look for my sister.’ she proceeded to give her a hug before leaving.

The tears that had been welling up in Cindy’s eyes flowed down after they left .

She just couldn’t believe she had actually seen her sister after so many years.
