Lucia had woken up with happiness as she remembered that Lucien would be coming home today .

She quickly brushed her teeth and took a quick but clean and thorough bath before picking out a singlet and bumshort to put on .

She sprayed one of the perfume on Lucien’s table and she was impressed by the scent .

She then went into the kitchen and started preparing tomato sauce and some sweet potatoes and then she heard the limo pull up in the house.

She had been happy and decided to wait for him to get in .

She was impressed by the way her eyes roamed her body and just as she was about jumping on him , he had a cold look on and she shivered as he glared at her before walking away.

Why had he given her that cold treatment.

Perhaps it was a prank .

She said as she felt a new wave of energy burst through her veins.

She ran up the stairs and knocked gently when she got to Lucia’s door. …

She knocked again but no response.

She was about knocking one last time and Lucien came out making her almost lose her balance. .

She looked up to stare at his face and it was still there .

That cold look , he still had it on and those fire in his eyes .

They were still there .

She couldn’t hold it back anymore as she broke down in tears .

Lucien felt his heart soften as the tears came down .

He couldn’t help it as he drew her closer to himself.

Lucia felt calm as his arms wrapped around her.

She hugged him tighter .

Lucien loosened his grip around her and stared at her face .

” Are you engaged to anyone Lucia ” Lucien asked and Lucia looked at him in awe .

” I am not . Did you find anyone who says that I am engaged ” she asked thinking maybe he might have a knowledge of her lost memory .

” Yes someone said you are engaged . A guy had you in his screensaver . Lucia I was heartbroken , I felt my heart break when he mentioned that you are engaged to him. ” Lucien said and he felt some liquid on his cheeks.

He just teared up in front of a lady .

” Lucien I don’t understand. You are tearing up . Who said so , can I have a glimpse of the person’s picture probably if you have ” she said using her hands to wipe off the tears .

Lucien sighed as he brought out the phone from his pocket and searched for his name.

Jason the CEO of Js interior company ..

The picture popped up immediately and lucien felt his anger brewed just by looking at his picture.

” Here that’s the person” Lucien said handing the phone to her.

Lucia gasped as she saw the picture .

” You know him right , you are engaged to him right. You don’t have to be sorry. I perfectly understand and I hold no grudges against you . ” Lucia rapped and turned around to go inside and Lucia rolled her eyes and held him back .

” I know him YES but I am not engaged to him . For Pete’s sake that’s my ex boss . The one that asked me for that ridiculous request ” she said and immediately the pieces came fitting together in Lucien’s head .

He then remembered he had overheard him and Cara talking earlier at the first day of the ball .

Damn he had been so gullible .

He looked at Lucia and tried holding her but she shunned him with her hand .

” So this was the reason for the cold attitude right ? This was the reason I became invisible to you ? This was the easy way you could think of right ?? Giving me the cold shoulder, knowing it would break my heart .” Lucia said with a sad smile as she remembered all that she had prepared waiting for Lucien to come home and she had invisible to him upon his arrival .

” Lucia I am sorry , I didn’t mean it . I just couldn’t think of losing you and immediately he said those words , I couldn’t help but go irrational at the moment. I so much love you Lucia and I can’t even think of losing you .” He said and Lucia shook her head .

” You have to trust me if you want this to work ,,,

She paused immediately and laughed …

“Who the hell am I kidding .. We are not even a thing ” she said and turned and started walking to her room .

She made a fool of herself again and she was just going to stop loving him till she regains her memories and get out of his house .

Lucien felt weak as he watched her leave.

He was really mad at himself for not trusting her and also not hearing from her own voice .

Lucia entered her room and picked up her phone.

She dialled Jason’s number and he picked up at immediately .

Lucia stabilize her voice as she talked .

” Hey Jason ” she said and Jason felt butterflies grow in his belly as she talked .

” Hey Lucia . How are you doing . Is everything okay ” he asked.

“. Yeah everything is fine . Are you up for an outing tonight ” she asked and Jason pulled the phone from his ear before looking at it again ..

” Yes I would be most delighted to go on an outing with you ” he said and Lucia smirked.

” Ok thanks for coming through .. I will text you the address now ” she said and hung up.

She was really going to give him a piece of her mind for pulling such stunt and cut all ties with them .
