Chapter 386 A Mystery Man
Faye initially didn't notice the young man at all.
After all, in a place like Farrell Media, there were way too many strangers and eye-catching people.
Until the man took the initiative to call her name. "Faye?"
Faye raised her eyes coldly.
One could know whether they would click with some strangers at a glance.
Sensing how Faye looked at him, the man broke into a smile and said without haste, "Maxwell
Camden."
Faye uttered, "Hmm?"
The young man said, "My name."
It was still freezing cold before the beginning of spring, but the white suit on the man looked very thin.
Faye had a gut feeling that the young man was not kind.
However, before figuring out whether he was hostile or friendly, Faye kept her cool and uttered, "Nice to
meet you."
She did not ask about his identity.
With that, the elevator door happened to open, Faye nodded at Maxwell and stepped out of the
elevator.
To her surprise, just when she walked out, Maxwell caught up to her from behind and walked side by
side with her. Belongs © to NôvelDrama.Org.
Faye looked sideways at Maxwell. The latter dropped his eyes and smilingly said, "Fortunately, I didn't
listen to the old man to kill you."
Faye froze in her tracks.
Maxwell continued, "You are very interesting, more interesting than anyone else in the Farrell family.
Keep alive."
Faye was subdued.
After saying that, Maxwell wiped the smile off his face and strode away before Faye said anything.
Watching Maxwell walking far away, Faye inadvertently moved her gaze and noticed his ankles.
On such a cold day, Maxwell wore a pair of cropped pants and no socks. As he was moving, a tattoo
was visible on his ankle; it was a viper with its tongue sticking out.
A few minutes later, Faye collected herself and knocked on the door of Colin's office.
In the office, Colin and Ethan were conversing.
Seeing Faye enter, the two guys looked towards her simultaneously.
Colin smiled and uttered in a mellow voice, "Baby."
Faye walked to Colin with a smile and handed him the agreements.
He directly handed them to Ethan.
Ethan took it over without making any comments. He then joked, "Going forward, when my staff sees
you again, what should they address you, Mr. Farrell or Colin?"
Colin gently arched his brows and said, "So realistic?"
Ethan teased, "Life is full of ups and downs."
Ethan was actually very busy. Had it not been for Colin, he wouldn't have come in person.
Ethan and Colin bantered for a while before the former left with the agreements.
Colin personally walked Ethan to the door. Ethan stopped and looked at Colin, saying in a voice that
was only audible to them two, "Are you sure? This is all you have."
Colin put his hands in his pockets and smiled carelessly. "A lifetime is not long. I want to live purely,"
said Colin.
Ethan uttered, "Well, what you've done is indeed a shortcut to make you live a simple life. As long as
Faye ditches you, you'll have nothing immediately."
Colin snorted and said, "You see the glass half full, don't you?"
Ethan stated, "Abbot is always a glass-half-full person, so much so that he is a narcissist."
Colin joked, "I'll tell Abbot about what you said later."
After seeing Ethan off, Colin went back to his office.
Colin entered the door and saw Faye drinking water with his cup while leaning against his desk.
He strode to Faye and wrapped his arm around her waist naturally. He chuckled and asked, "You're not
a neat freak now?"
Faye fixed her eyes on Colin with a water cup in her hands and compressed her lips. "Do you know
Maxwell Camden?" asked she.
Colin abruptly wiped the smile off his face and said, "Who?"
Faye repeated, "Maxwell Camden?"
Colin's eyes darkened. He pressed the tip of his tongue against one cheek without replying to her.
Noticing that, Faye caught on.
They looked at each other for a few seconds before Colin said in a low voice, "Why did you suddenly
mention Maxwell?"
Faye didn't keep it a secret and truthfully replied, "I just encountered him when I was in the elevator."
Colin asked, "What did he say to you?"
Faye came clean with him about their conversation in the elevator.
Colin rubbed his hand on Faye's thin waist. After a while, he uttered in a low voice, "Baby, stay away
from him if you run into him again in the future."
Faye leaned sideways to put down the water cup. She then turned to look up at Colin and said, "I want
to know who he is."
Colin said, "One of the Farrells."
Faye asked in suspicion, "What?"
Faye basically grew up in the Farrells' Mansion, but she didn't have the slightest impression of Maxwell.
Perceiving Faye's doubts, Colin explained, "He just came back to the mansion not long ago and gave
Grandpa a good scare."
Faye asked in confusion, "What happened?"
Colin chuckled and replied, "Do you know who Maxwell is?"
Faye put two and two together and said, "Blaine's illegitimate son outside?"
Colin shook his head.
Faye guessed with a frown, "Don't tell me he is Grandpa's..."
Faye bit her tongue and didn't finish her words.
Although Faye didn't like Old Mr. Farrell, she still trusted him in that respect.
That was because Old Mr. Farrell was sophisticated enough. Even if he had flings outside, he wouldn't
let any other women conceive his children.
Colin lowered his head and whispered into her ear, "Maxwell is a son of Grandpa's younger brother."
Faye was dumbstruck.
In order to take possession of the family property back in the old days, Old Mr. Farrell murdered all his
brothers.
Maxwell appeared to be in his early twenties. How could he be the son of Old Mr. Farrell's younger
brother?
At the thought of that, Faye blurted out, "Some of his brothers did not die?"
